We have been there twice now. Superb service. We like to watch all the trailers go in and out. Meet lots of fun people too! Glad everything worked out. They did our 4” lift with new brakes and axles. Gives us great clearance. Safe travels!
Worth noting that you have a Propride P3 hitch and that the factory service center is equipped to move your trailer. That is not going to be true at a lot of dealerships and RV service centers. We travel with the Propride “lot bar” just in case. Love our 2020 Flying Cloud and Propride P3. Pairs the trailer to our 2019 F-150 XLT perfectly. We’ve had minor service done at the Airstream factory service center. The best Airstream technicians on the planet, with the full support of the company literally right there on site.
Sounds like the best place to get service work done. Got to love it when you get out for less $$$ than you expect. Shame the factoy tour wasn't open. That would have been almost as cool as the firehouse tour. LOL!!! Definitely have to go see that place for myself. Another stop added to the bucket list.
Surprisingly they did some of the stuff under warranty even though it wasnt anymore. For example the door I think has a 90 day adjustment warranty. We've had our airstream for 2.5 years.
You need to first go up to the office at 6:50 AM and check-in. They will give you a number to wrap around your jack so they know who’s Airstream they are working on. Otherwise you will be waiting for a long time for them to pike up your Airstream.
Airstream rally I do believe this weekend in Lebanon TN. I can't attend I'm Canadian . When will they be having Rally's in Canada?? Lol I will have to start one .but I do have the best location in all of Canada🇨🇦
Maybe you covered in another video, but how did you decide on making the drive to Jackson versus authorized service center closer to your recent travels?
Jackson was pretty much on our route for this summer, so it wasn't really out of the way that much. In addition we wanted to see the factory ( as it turns out tours were closed though ). And one of the big reasons for this visit versus a service appt at some other dealer was that last year we couldnt get an appointment! Al lthe dealers / servicers were soooo busy - it seemed everyone and their uncle bought an rv and the service departments were booked 6 months out. Its hard for us to plan that far ahead. In addition, since we're living in it the Jackson setup is ideal - we can still sleep in it at night while they work on it in the day. Many dealers just say to drop it off and pick it up a week or two later.
Funny thing is my 2019 fc has the same problems water pump and door hinges. Wonder if its known issues. My bay area dealer said it wasn’t covered. Maybe i need to go to jackson.
I don't think it was covered by warranty for me either - we've had our airstream for 2.5 years. But for some reason they logged it that way and I wasnt about to complain. Regarding the hinges... I mean I don't know what any manufacturer can really do to protect against long term issues with those. Even high quality hinges / parts will eventually fail as your house rumbles down dirt roads, effectively giving it a 30 minute 5.0 earthquake.
Cool video. We're going to go to factory next year. Are you guys still heading to the UP of Michigan? We'll be there later in July/ August. We just finished up our tour in the Dakota's, if you need/ want any advice pls reach out.
Hey Scott. Yes we are. We're in Silve Lake, MI this week, then Traverse City for a week. Then we check out Mackinac Island and head to UP. Unfortunately we only have one night booked on Lake Superior on our way through there. We didn't realize how nice it was up there while making all the plans. Wish we planned on staying longer.
@@johnjessjourney2352 yes, it did take some advanced planning for sure. Along that note, how far in advance did you make your appointment for factory service?
