Episode 16 - "Seven" & The Enneagram 

Thank you for this song & podcast! I’m really excited for this song, and 1-6 are just so beautiful because I’m friends with nearly every type and it truly made me see through their eyes with these songs. I’m personally a type three and honestly it became a beautiful anthem for me. Your music is so motivational and so hopeful, but it allows me to feel sad. It’s almost like a, “I’m going to allow myself to feel sad because I know things will be better soon.” Your songs have healed me so much over the years and I’m so blessed to have found your music. God bless your days ❤️

Whenever i feel sad, or just tired or i'm afraid. For example, yesterday someone treated me sooo bad. It made me cry and i felt so bad, also i have been fighting with anxiety and sadness because my dad recently died . So when I listen to this podcast I feel like "ok heidy, you can keep going, don't worry, everything it's going to be ok, tomorrow will be sure beautiful" Thank you so much!

My son, who is an enneagram 8 told me about you and these enneagram songs. He told my husband and I one night, and so I said go ahead and play the 7 song. Well, like another comment said, on the second line I started crying, and I just said, “This was a huge mistake.” (I was making a joke of course...because I was crying in front of my husband and 17 year old son and I’m a 7, So cue joke). I loved everything about it, every beautiful sound. The bridge, especially captured the longing and frustration I feel, as a mother, when I admit how I have struggled to be present, and how fleeting moments are with growing children. And also...I absolutely love a good bridge. Thank you for writing these songs with such amazing attention to detail and such compassion, and for making these podcasts. I’m going to listen to all of them!

Okay so I would really like to add this note real quick. I wrote a poem in 7th grade. It was called “behind a smile” it was about people not really knowing my pain because I was so optimistic......mind blown

Every piece of me is in this song. Thank you for how much thought you've put into this project, and providing clarity and insight as to why I am the way I am. I'm restless, hungry, and ready for whatever comes next! (If any other seven's out there had difficulty making it through the entire podcast or found themselves losing interest, I would suggest breaking it up into segments and closing your eyes)

I am.....speechless. This was so accurate for me as a type 7. I truly felt appreciated and that finally someone thought about how I felt.....

I just found out about Sleeping At Last and Enneagrams just today and after listening to their songs and learning what my type was I was able to learn more about myself then I ever did in my entire life. And listening the first minutes brought me to tears because I realized that this was all true. I am truly grateful for finding Sleeping At Last and I will always remember this group and their awesomeness for the rest of their life.

Wow! ♥️ I have never heard your podcast before but I stumbled upon this because I really liked Chris’s Enneagram book. I am a type seven and that song is so beautiful. I started crying as soon as you started the second line of lyrics! I’m still all broken up over it. It speaks to the best of what 7 energy brings to the world. So well done! Such a gift. I’ve never felt so much understood like after listining to this podcast. It makes so much sense now that i found my type which is 7. I had a problem which finding what personality I am because neither zodiac signs nor 16 personalites types had matched me, but ennneagram somehow did it. I also would say that the perfect song for type 7 is I Lived by OneRepublic

Well, let me tell you... You nailed it on this one. I listened to 1-6 and they were good, but I thought that I might be a 7, and boy, did it resonate with me. It brought tears to my eyes

As a 7w6, I truly love the song. yes I want to try as much as I can. My w6 feels like a pitfall to my personality. I was so excited to hear this. only disagreement is the fact that I truly hate the lego movie, but that is indeed a me problem :)

Guessing i am a seven. Hard to commit. When you said that several have tried being a vegetarian..."of course they have"...I laughed out loud. Okay. I am a seven. Blown away that this is why people don't ask me how I am doing.

hmmmmmmm, knowing enneagram for 12 years, still unsure if i am a 7 or 3, or even 4. it's 95% that i'm a 7, although initially i was typed by 'expert' as a 3, and INFP. then later ENFP 7, I am so curious what i am in the end... dont trust myself about it. i am very very happy go lucky wiht 'instant' connection to joy, which is very 7 i know, but what annoys me about other 7s how little they're willing to face pain and problems. i am not like that. i had many family sh!t, and i never hide. my dad was dying from cancer when i was 17, my mom and sister (not 7s) run away, while i totally merged with him to help him with pain of dying , i took his grief. swallowed it. and i am too empathic. this does not sound 7. Although everything else about me does. wish someone really smart can help me figure my type
