I keep comparing to other EV, and yet i keep coming back to this one. I have a 15 mile commute, can charge overnight, and another car, so the range works for me.

I'm trying to decide between this RZ and the NX350H. I don't like the run-flats on the NX and was watching to see if you mentioned what type tires this RZ has. You said it drove smooth so I'm thinking they are not. By the way, I'm a senior and considering the RZ. Do not care about range.

Thanks for watching and appreciate the questions and feedback. If you pause the video when I show the tires, that may answer your question on what kind they are. For running, yes they were very smooth and quiet. As far as NX350H vs. RX 450e, if you can charge at home and range is not an issue, then an all-electric would be my whole-heartedly recommendation. Zero Emission is what we need in a much more abundant matter, and like my motto states: "Educating Minds, One Tailpipe At A Time"! Best of luck and any more questions, please ask. Let me know how it turns out.

Senior here too … it has non run-flats & Lexus provides a tire repair kit.

Does this car have the number of DCFC"s per 24 hours limited? I heard that was a thing in the Toyota version for battery protection. Also the Lexus BEV is not showing up in the iZEV list. Is it on sale now? The Bz4x is listed for Toyota but not solterra for mitsu..

Thanks for watching John! I am not sure about any daily DCFC limits and I would doubt that since the pack really would not get too stressed out at those conservative pull speeds. My understanding is that you can put in an order for one, but it may not be shipping just yet. For iZEV info, best to ask a dealer to confirm. I had thought that the low spec trim would just make it under the $55K-$65K base MSRP thresholds.

@@EVRevolution My goof the Solterra is there (Subaru..). Maybe Lexus hasn't applied for the listing yet. DCFC limit: I looked it up: Bojrn did his 1000 km in the BZ4X and hit the DCFC limit in 2022 but they now updated the BMS software and He drove it again in May doing 1000km 2 hours faster due to better DC charging.

I appreciate the great review but wow someone in Toyota is really trying to sink the company. Nobody I can think of would reasonably buy a luxury car with less than 300 miles range unless they were retired and barely drove more than 10-20 miles out from their home each day and even then there are so many seemingly better more affordable options out there. Also retirees based on polling seem to be the least likely to buy an EV so who is this even supposed to be for?
@EVRevolution
@EVRevolution 10 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching and appreciate your comments. I can't say if any polling was done by Toyota to see the market for this vehicle (I am sure they had some intelligence). Like I said, at the entry-price point, it's not a bad BEV and compares much better to those at similar pricing points, then the two higher trim levels as the pricing gap versus BEV features IMO widens too deep. I know many retired folks that yes, do spend on luxury vehicles (I just met up yesterday with a friend of mine who 2 weeks ago got a brand new Model X...for just him and his wife...both retired). So there are more than you think in this demographic that have spending clout. For those that don't then of course, this BEV is not for them for sure. Don't pigeon-hole a vehicle into saying it does not work for anyone or reasoning to buy or that kind of stuff. You would be very surprised at how dynamic this marketplace really is. Remember, the average purchase price in Canada in 2022 for ANY (ICEV, EVs) Light Duty Vehicle (LDV) by consumers was over $58,000 CAD. So, people are spending money and to do this, the majority are leveraging 6+ years of financing or leasing. So don't get too caught up on price versus range, as for many, they don't need 300kms a day but want a quiet, superbly built and nice looking product and will spend to get it.

80K? No way. Model Y hands down.

Thanks for watching. The base is $65k.

And Lexus Financial offers $10,000 off MSRP when leasing. We got ours … at an MSRP of $63,500 -$10,000 LFS discount - $4,000 dealer discount -$1,000 military discount = $48,500 + TTL (USD).
