Yugioh Abridged: The only series that dives deep into the main character's deepest insecurities via a monologue from a character that calls him "Phawowoh"

"Kaiba hush" and "Kaiba, honey, please" are my favorite lines in the series.

"How did YOU get here?" "I rode my bike across the ocean." "But there was a storm." Yes, clearly THAT was the only flaw in his explanation, Pharaoh.

So that's why the episode took so long. It's because Kaiba and Pharoh were practicing dueling combos.

It's been 3 months, the children grew up, the war started and ended, but it was all worth it for this new episode of Yu-Gi-Oh abridged.

I love how Dartz sounds genuinely concerned “are you okay? Do you need water?”

Dartz was the most powerful ruler 10,000 years ago Atem was the most powerful ruler 5,000 years ago Kaiba, with his company, has Domino city easily in the palm of his hand And I don't know If i want to see an incarnation of Joey ruling in the future

That "Kaiba Honey, please" really caught me off guard that i literally choked lol

"WHAT? What kind of bulls**t magical power could possibly out bulls**t the bulls**t magical power that I bring to you with the Oricalcomalos?" My favourite line, sums up Season 4 so well

I laughed so hard at Atem and Kaiba using "combo move 14a". That's exactly what I thought when I first watched them team dueling in the show, like there is no way they didn't practice this stuff LMAO

The voice acting of Dartz is a true masterpiece

Dartz’ speech here was more impactful then the actual show

I love how the speech Dartz gave Atem isnt even a joke it's something that he's been doing since the beginning of the show and it's both a major flaw in his personality but also a hugely enjoyable one too. He has far more personality than the 4Kids version.

"What do you mean 'Don't fly fly close to the sun.'? I'm going to build a Blue-Eyes space ship that can fly through the sun just to prove whoever said that wrong." I can't describe how much I love that Seto Kaiba can do anything, but is driven solely by spite and glory.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that kaiba touched Joey.

Whoah, Dartz's speech was oddly fitting for abridged-Pharaoh, at least. It's funny how Dartz was hating on his waifu and all of humanity for turning into monsters and stuff, when he himself went and turned into a monster 10000 years later. Y'know the whole fusing himself with Leviathan or whatever? Yugi's right. "Orichalcos" really is ancient Greek for "hypocrite".

"Well anyway we had some of our elite aircraft escort you here-" "Oh my god he thinks they're elite! They don't even look like dragons" "Kaiba honey please"

"I don't believe in fake things like resurrection and ancient Egypt. I only believe in real things like dragons." Kaiba-boy you did it again

"You know what sinks ships? Canon." Okay, that was a really good line. Is that referencing something, because if not, LK's writing is still freaking top notch with the one liners.

I kinda love how Dartz in this episode manages to be at the same time hilarious yet disturbing. His breaking speech to Atem really hits hard, and I know it the scene where he reveals he ruined his minions' life is meant to be silly, but... there's something unsettling about how laugh about it like a good joke.

The way dartz says "how you block infinity" just kills me

That Dartz monologue is a beautiful piece. The seriousness of it with such a dumb voice is amazing.

You can hate all the plot holes as much as you want but the character development in this season filler is top notch.

I love that Atem didn't change in a moment, we get to see the process. It became clear in the previous episode. This time, when dueling Raphael, he didn't mock his opponent, but actually taught him a lesson about handling grief.

I love that Dartz knows Atem's name...and Atem doesn't believe him. Priceless.

Man, Dartz’ speech at 21:22 was really solid. The writing there was actually pretty compelling. How Takahata somehow managing to make Dartz somehow menacing and credible through that ridiculous voice is a testament to how good of an actor he is.

I honestly just enjoy the fact that Dartz only says Kaiba’s name right

Dartz' speech to Yami is surprisingly more effective here than the actual anime. And that's saying a lot cause we've gone through characters spouting out friendship

I forgot just how broken literally all of Dartz's cards were in the anime. Then again most things were completely broke by season 4 really. The Robot Armour guy was a perfect example.

I love how takahata101 is currently the main villain of both the biggest abridged series on youtube. Being Perfect Cell and Dartz at the same time. Awesome.

Gotta give you credit. You took the cliche friendship moral that's been present for all of yugioh and a thousand other shows and worked it into the most real and meaningful take on that moral I've ever seen.

I have to say how beautiful this was. The power of friendship showing up to save the Pharoh, and him agknowledging he may not deserve it even as it's saving him. It's a moment of grace and humility that hits more powerfully than I think I've ever seen, in large part because of how perfectly Dartz' breaking speech hit. The timing and sound design adds to the effect of this moment, and you really believe there's something powerful and profound backing him up. It's a moment that's deserved and earned, and my favorite in the series. I know you haven't heard enough good things about this moment, because no one could ever say enough good things about this moment. Thank you for bringing it to us.

21:10 Putting aside how silly it is, this is actually really well done. I know people call this season filler, but to me it actually had some of the best character development for Atem. We see him give into his pride, we see him fail, we see him grieve. He isn’t as much of a cheat code and more of a character, that’s why I like this season.

All joking aside, this episode is actually a work of pure art.

You know what really stands out to me? The fact that so many fans don't know about his depression. In this episode he addresses how hard it is and how it can feel as if dealing with an enemy that makes things up on the file. I get that most people will come for the Abridged series alone, but all of us should at least take the time to view one of his "We're still here" videos. This man deals with a lot and sometimes saying something as small as "You're doing great, stay strong" would be nice. I watch a lot of his videos and there's some where LK can barely hold back tears. We should at least consider being there for him as well.
