Man, what an emotional interview. You can tell that Dr. Sweetland is a really good man. He may not have been able to save Mr. Comperatore, but he is still a hero. And it was so encouraging to hear him talk about the army veteran that offered him some water when he was clearly in shock. I actually saw a video with some extended footage, and I saw someone offer him some water, shouted out, "Water! Water!" to a small group of people, and then you see like 20 people offering their water bottles. Dr. Sweetland is right - THAT is what America is all about, people coming together in times of tragedy.

You can tell that even this seasoned physician is terribly shaken by this event. I cry with him. This just breaks my heart for anyone everyone that was there witnessing this tragedy.

Very much appreciate hearing from this Doctor on the scene. Tragic that he went through seeing and reacting as a 1st responder while he attended his 1st DJT rally. 🙏✝️ for what is forever etched in his memories.

You can clearly see that he is one of those people who in the moment show calm and control and emotions come after things calm down slightly. I’m a retired RN and that is how so many medical and first responders do what they do- it’s a compartmentalization in the moment to do what is needed.

PTSD? Overuse of a word, not everyone who experiences trauma has PTSD, Jesus! He’s an emergency room doctor, his mind is no doubt more resilient to emergency/shocking situations. @Stardusted1
