EREWHON, Beverly Hills.
Let’s check it out!
The first thing we noticed at Erewhon is that it is beautiful. The store is stocked to the brim with colorful and picture-perfect organic products.
The fresh produce is vibrant and overflowing with its organic bounty.
The next thing is that the store was filled with people. Considering that this is the middle of the week and not really lunch time yet, there were lines everywhere.
And now let's go through the rows and see the prices in this store…
To be honest we were not shocked at the sight of prices in Erewhon. Given that all the products here are organic, and the store is located in the heart of Beverly Hills , the prices were quite reasonable. Well of course, with the exception of some individual products , which we will tell you about later in this video.
Let’s look at the prices of the most common products.
Let’s say a gallon of milk 9.99 is not bad.
Butter almost $20. of course is a bit expensive.
Eggs are pretty much the same as in in Las Vegas. Well actually not quite true… i buy Happy eggs at Smith grocery store and its only 4.99 there.
If we talk about meat products, organic meat has always been expensive. Especially here…look at this ground beef price! Chicken is cheaper in Las Vegas for sure. and sausages, hot dogs , Bacon and ham could be cheaper.especially considering that this is processed meat in which there are a lot of different additives compare with the fresh meat.
The price of the shrimp killed us on the spot. It is almost half price in the whole foods.
Wild caught Salmon is also expensive, but seafood has always been in the rank of expensive products…and again especially here.And I will definitely never go here to buy maple syrup. No thanks.
The price for tea and coffee was quite regular and to be honest I buy coffee on amazon and the price is about the same there.
this hot truffle sauce is very good, but it is $10 cheaper at Whole Foods.
sauerkraut is a great probiotic but I’ll buy it half cheaper at the different grocery store.
Same as this vegan cheeses what is 50% less at whole foods.
We are big fans of Kombucha but we prefer to buy it at Costco as it is half the price there. And of course fruits, freshly cut fruits costs more than a pound of fresh uncut fruits. This is crazy! Of course, I understand that it is convenient to throw in a bag for lunch or a quick bite after a workout, but these prices are simply unrealistic.
Erewhon also has a large section of cooked food and also a huge selection of sushi.
And who doesn't love sushi? Every week we try to go to “All You can eat” sushi restaurant in Vegas and the price for one person is almost the same as for one pack of sushi in this store.
And of course, sweet temptations are right at the checkout area. A little but pricey but so good!
And Now let's fast forward to Las Vegas. Upon arrival from California, we decided to visit our most expensive store in Town, Whole foods.
I am not going to show you the details of the prices in this store now, but will simply provide comparisons of several similar or exactly the same products that we found here. And you be the judge.
