I got this version on a free dvd from a classic rock magazine when I was 11… I never put the guitar down again. This for me is one of the best live performances ever, as it kickstarted my musical journey! (It also featured Gary Moore… I never stood a chance).
Claptons red strat has an interesting history. It was a prototype model of his signature strat line. He didnt think the integrated boost circuit was putting out enough treble so they redesigned the whole thing for him and he was never seen playing that same red strat again!
@@jacoporosiello3034 Trust you - why? Clapton is among the greatest blues/rock guitarists of all time. His singing is not his meal ticket. You like it, fine, but stop and think!
That comment is definitely right: “ERIC is one of the those guitarists who sings even better than he plays the guitar, amazing voice.” The commenter; He is right. I am a DIE HARD CLAPTON FAN and yes definitely “CLAPTON is GOD” and these his prime years, he was sincerely believe me: BETTER A LOT BETTER THAN GOD but many years later that as a DIE HARD SLOWHAND PLAY FAN, I can surely said that his voice and singing is a lot better than even his very prime GUITAR PLAY days and to be honest because his guitar play is amazingly good&perfect sadly his voice&singing a lot underrated my dears. My old mum,79 years old TURKISH WOMAN,no knowledge on CLAPTON but knows TURKISH VOCAL MUSIC a lot&after her very 1st experience on CLAPTON’s voice and singing; she replied me back that: YOUR MAN CLAPTON has NICE KIND VOICE and SINGS REALLY GOOD. I said again because CLAPTON plays guitar so good, his VOICE and SINGING sadly missed, underrated, this is another bittersweet truth, facts on life..
The complimentary chord sequences from verse to chorus are one of the cleverest in rock ever. Boys back town lizzy also has v clever verse chords. This though , crikey .
