what views are talking about..Keep your stupid shit to yourself. the man lost a child while on tour to entertain you the only views you have are from your ass
Eric Clapton was given to us, period. To a generation that will understand music and the absolute talent required to take you to the stars and back. It's June 2020 and are you with me on this ??
Oh yes I'm agree with that. I'm as giutar player myself it's most joy that way. And he as my self perform best in front of a crowd. Best regards Eric 🙏
And, he is self-taught. A remarkable talent. There are only a handful of musicians that can turn me inside out on certain arrangements they play of familiar songs. This is, of course, one. It has been said to play at this level a musician must have the "fire in the belly." The following have surpassed that level...to a raging inferno, in my opinion: Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee, Prince, Mike Campbell, Carlos Santana, Derek Trucks (although considerably younger, immensely talented), Joe Walsh, Tim Carmen (keyboardist for Clapton), Denmont Tench. There are no doubt more, but these all immediately come to mind.
I grewup listening to Mr.Clapton… around 14yrsold.. lm 67 now & still love his blues& his amazing vocals & guitarist… This is truly 1 l would have had been been knocked out. I Love Eric Clapton & appreciate his influence on my life.
Too many have already been called Home. I.cant even count the number of times Ive seen him since the late 70s, but when He calls Eric Home, that day will crush a big piece of my heart.
I'm of the opinion that Eric does far better in front of an audience in a live setting than he does in even the best of studio settings... every live song I've heard from him has far more passion, flair, feel, mood, fun, voice, and damn near everything else, than even the best studio albums I've sampled on premium Bose systems and even custom high end systems. I love his live stuff. I wish this man would live forever and be able to forever perform these live shows for people.
Dios te escuche y el nunca mura, y yo tenga la oportunidad de escucharlo en vivo, algo que veo casi imposible. y estoy totalmente de acuerdo es mejor en vivo que el estudio.
@@spare7400 I'm a total "Fender guy" and love Eric on a Strat but man dude when he pulls out his 335 it brings an absolute animal out in him. My wife got me 11th row tix to see him next month and if he brings along his 335 for a song or 2 I will lose my absolute mind. LOL! I really doubt he will though. He seems to be all Fender these days.
I've seen him maybe 6 times, including first time, 6 July 1974. He mentions that show in his auto-biography. Patty Boyd Harrison joined him finally at this show. He had too much alcohol, I was right up front, roughly in the first 10 people into Rich Stadium in Buffalo. He fell down, and could not finish show. I was 10th person in to Rich Stadium Buffalo. Considered his worst show ever. Every other time was great! I always wondered how he could play Sunshine of your Love and other hit songs so many times and still sound great. Love him, major influence on me.
I appreciate the stationary camera position (and good quality) so I can watch EC actually playing the instrument as the sounds come out of it. Just awesome!!!
One of his best songs. On the dvd "24 Nights", he does a version of this song that stops me in my tracks EVERY time I watch/hear it. His solos on that live version are AMAZING. The whole dvd is him at his best.
You're right I get that feeling too when I watch it I have the DVD and I saw him the year of his Tears in Heaven tour at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and I was sitting in the seats but move far away but it was electric it was Electric what a treasure 2 two guitars and guitar players all over the world glad he made it through the fire
クリームのcross roads の凄まじいソロも感激ですが、ビハインド ザ サンのJust like a prisoner、Old love の円熟味を増したソロも最高で、目を閉じ、のけぞりながらギターを、泣かせている姿、感情がこもっていて、ECは神様です🎵良い時代に生まれて感謝してます🎸❤❤❤❤❤
I've been coming back to this performance for 8 years and each time I feel the flame of this sweet sounds as strong as I felt the first time. Purely amazing and probably best version of the song. Thanks for sharing!
There is another one out there that Collins goes much farther out there. You’ll know it’s the right one cause E.C. will be making that stank face and talking to his other side men very early in the keyboard solo. Magical.
Absolutely loving these comments about the Maestro that is the Great Eric Clapton! When Eric does not look at what he is playing plus looses himself in a zone that is completely his own.. is what I love so much about him.. he feels his way through his playing .. it’s extraordinary as I have not seen this from anyone but Eric! Every time Eric plays is a Miracle of Mastery for myself .. I admit that I cry the moment he walks on stage .. due to his stage presence plus control constantly! I cannot even remember how many times I have seen him play all over the world .. however there is no possibility of being disappointed ever ! That beauty of a guitar is my favourite colour too! His hair is beautiful long! Eric you have it plus so much more! I often wonder if you realise how phenomenal you are? There is no genre that you cannot play! Gd Bless you 4 Eva 🙏❤️🙏
eric clapton is always going to perform these songs to the very highest quality nothing less is expected and he delivers to the very highest quality all the time without failure.simply mind blowing and the greatest guitar player
Yes, yes, yes. EC is a guitar genius, he might even be a guitar god, but his singing! His voice has gotten better and more soulful as the years have passed. In an old interview he sad something about his soloing basically being him singing with the guitar. Some of it must have gone both ways, because I can't decide which is best: his voice or his playing. 😁
His guitar playing is incredible in this version but my favorite version of Old Love is from his '92 MTV Unplugged. Back then he played acoustic and was accompanied by a piano player who was mind-boggling. He also sang more then. A beautiful song.......
june schalit The pianist was Chuck Leavell who toured with primarily the Rolling Stones and was a member of the Allman Brothers at one time. He hooked up with EC to back up George Harrison on "Live from Japan (Remastered) and then a few months later appeared with the same players behind Eric at "Unplugged." Leavell is one of the most respected "sessions" piano player in the industry and is the "go to guy" for industry heavyweights.
the "unplugged" version is wonderful it's true, certainly and precisely because it's unplugged and also because of that pianist, but to me this one is (maybe far) better.. I've just re-listened to it (it's only the 2nd time I hear it) and have been absolutely stunned by his unbelievable quality, it's SO sensitive and spiritual, never a note too much in a line, never a useless repetition, never too slow, to speed, too heavy .. it's perfection!!!
Thank you Eric Clapton for using your gift so well, and we all got to enjoy your music all these years…. I’ve grown up listening to your music, thank you again. xo
Hyde Park a few years back, there was msgic in the air, I close my eyes and itsas if Im back there, and not for the first time,or the last,he through his emotional playing ,and singing, changed ❤ my life,,
I have seen him 3 times and every time it was an awesome show, Eric Clapton and JJ Cale are on the top of the all time best for me and many others. If you ever got or get a chance to see him especially with JJ Cale you will agree. There are many good and or great musicians out there but EC is at the top.
Eric was in North Carolina back in the 1980's and I did not go, big mistake!! A master!!!!! GOD given talent!!! EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good.....
It s so heartbreakting beautiful. Of course a song written by Clapton and Cray :-) and I notice that the audiance is sooooo quiete while the song goes on. This is Clapton at his best.
This is why Eric Clapton is a great guitarist..same sounds he did in his younger years. In the beginning of his playing of this song it made me want to pick up my guitar and play~ Oh Yeah!
I swear he must have a different fretboard to me, with notes I just can't get 🤣🤣. His note choice is so tasty. Sometimes he finds a note or two that almost jars - but not enough to be 'wrong', just to wake you up and go 'whoah where did that come from?'
OMG When I hear this....... when I feel this..... I know I am 50 plus and this reaches my ole soul....and connects right away.....makes me .....ooohhhh man think back to my younger days. Classic Music Baby Grown Folk Music
I lisened to some youtube music tonight and came across this older live performance of Eric Clapton.... One of the best solo guitar performances I've ever heard. He is really a God in his own way. It touches your inner feelings, and you hear he is performing like a genuine virtuoso, a Master of guitar like no other.
I fell in love with Eric's music and Steve Winwood's music too, when I first heard him sing & play on the Blind Faith album I was 12 or 13 years old, we were sooo young he and Steve were really young too
Magnificent. A friend just commented on one of my music videos, complimenting me on my guitar playing. I told him, "I'm very aware of how inadequate my playing is, especially when I meet or hear what I call, 'real guitarists'. But I'm finally getting good enough to be able to really enjoy it and express myself, and to fool most people into thinking that I know what I'm doing." Clapton is fooling no-one - he's a God.
I've listened to Eric Clapton since the late 60's. At first he didn't Impress me as a singer and guitarst. After listening to live albums it blew me away. He is definitely one of the best.
man, he's connecting in a big way here. He's taking some serious chances and executing them marvelously here. This recording is so cool. It sounds like a board mix with Eric's guitar "way too loud and dry". I love it! Bitchin keyboard solo with the gals backing him up. Since it's so close to the stage, it's probably the actual guitar amp sound before it goes through the PA. Great video, Danny!
It sounds like he's in a small little upstairs bedroom studio with all the bells and whistles and he's just playing through his Twin Reverb it's so cool I love it
David Cournoyer yeah i think its the best old love version i heard.its so concentrated and focused.and he uses different licks and tricks here like oauu .my idol always amazes me
So sick he needs to see a doctor! The slow hand is an amazing gift that will NEVER BE DUPLICATED his passion is amazing!!!! I feel Truly blessed to have seen him live a few times!!!
Only when you don’t play guitar yourself: he’s a legend but never improved his playing in the last decades, and is overaken by hundreds of better guitarists
@@christian-van-e 😂😂 yea cuz he needs to improve...theres a reason hes remained relevant for half a century through all the decades. He’s probably the most accomplished musician of all time. 3 time hall of famer. Noone can argue his legacy. And Clapton certainly has nothing to prove to anyone.
