Error F01 Dryer Fix 

Thank you for taking the time to post this video. I was having the same issue and error code. Didn’t know where to start but I’m thankful I found your video. I found the circuit board I needed on eBay and $75 later had my dryer running again. People said they could solder it themselves but I have no knowledge how to do that. Thanks for your time and knowledge.

I went on ebay and sent the old one in and got it repaired. It cost $35 plus sales tax.. They sent it back and I installed it...works great. It's guaranteed for 60 days. I also bought a RV surge protector because of the plug because my dryer circuit board blew out during a thunderstorm. The plug cost $22 on eBay.

This same thing oftentimes happens in refrigerators whereby the solder/contacts of a circuit board mounted relay will, over time, arc and eventually damage the copper traces on the board. It's an easy fix if you have some electrical skills. Why does this happen? Welp, the physical mounting of the board is vertical and heavy components, like relays, are sticking out horizontally with no support other than the component pins in a machine that vibrates and shakes. A simple recipe for failure. If the board was mounted flat, or horizontally then the heavier components would be supported mostly by gravity and not hanging by the pins alone.

Not necessary to replace the pcb.Only to replace the relay(if damaged) and add extra wire on the pcb to let high current to pass the relay switch circuit without more heat.

You are a legend! I had the same error code, popped off the top, unplugged all the connections and plugged them all back in and it works! 🥹

I don't know if this will help or if it is even true. I believe the manual was inside the control panel cover. I also think when I was working on this dryer I went to Sears.com. That is all I got. Good Luck!

I have the same dryer I don't get an error code and after low power from a partial power failure the timer is calibrated in hours instead of minutes, how do I change it back to minutes? I have tried unplugging and also Turning off circuit breaker for 30 min.

Ours burned in the same place. Much worse. We're lucky we didn't have a serious fire. I base that last statement on my experience as a fire chief.

I need the washer help

I hate to say this but you could have repaired the board yourself. All you need to do is clean the burnt out solder joint then add some solder, i am an appliance tech and usually place a piece of wire between the two solder joints that cause the issue and solder it in, its a design fault and the solder joint cant handle the voltage load forever. The wire takes some of the load. You can solder it without the wire and it should still work. I have done at least 10 of these
