As someone with both an escalade EXT (the cadillac version of the avalanche) and an avalanche, can definitely tell you the escalade just can't be beat. The magnetic suspension apparently just prevents any sort of wheel hop. My avalanche will bounce around trying to pull something heavy or pull out a stump or something, but the escalade will always just dig in. Ive never tried to tug of war as I dont want to break my shit lol.

Those 5.3 are gutless compared to a 6.2 awd escalade with more weight and lower center of gravity

Y’all had to know the Avalanche would lose. The Escalade had better gearing, tires, and suspension geometry. It also likely had a newer 6.2L V8. Side note- all the “welp” this and “welp” that has gotten pretty annoying. I do not want to come across as rude, I simply want to help you. I know you won’t be rubbed the wrong way, but I had to let you know I’m not “hating” or trying to be rude. Now, you don’t need to change what you say because an avid viewer tells you something is a bit annoying. But it does seem as if the “welp” thing is used to cater to your viewers. I thought that the Escalade was going to break. I was kinda worried for him. It's an expensive vehicle that is not designed to pull like that on dry pavement. But it was the clapped out Avalanche that broke.

An Avalanche and Escalade ESV are mechanically the same truck mostly. The biggest difference being the 5.3 V8 in the Avalanche and the 6.2 V8 in the Escalade. Not surprised the Caddy took it.

Get a 1998 Jeep 5.9 they were only made 1 year but there really rare and hard to find but it would be a great build for the channel it was the world’s fastest suv but obviously not no there 20 years old but there a forgotten muscle truck

A few things... -There's an incline on the road and the gravity of the hill benefits the Escalade. -The Escalade has a bigger engine -The Escalade is far newer with much less wear and tear -The Escalade does not weigh that much more than an Avalanche. It probably weighs slightly less, or about the same. Google says it's under 6,000 lbs. -Lighter does not equal better. Less weight means it's easier to get pulled by a sturdier vehicle. It's science.

I saw this coming way before I watched the video.

If you wanna eliminate the cv spacer from a lift kit on 99-06 trucks just get the 07-13 axle they are like an 1.5 inches longer so you can get rid of the spacer and have better angles

You should order a couple of them from Amazon I got mine for $54 I have the same suspension in my truck as you do

Of course the SUV won. It has weight over the rear axle. It's a full size pickup but with a covering for people. That's a easy prediction. Empty bed pickups are easy to tug..

You can drive it with the axle like that in an emergency situation, however only do so to make it home. That is terrible for the hub assembly as it gets its preload from the torque of the axle nut. This is information for any sane human being, clearly send it steve doesn't give a damn if his hub assembly snapped in two 🤣.. which separation would be a real possibility if you drove it like that long enough, especially with the rotational mass of Steve's wheels.

I dont like to see people dump money....but we all know those suspensions are crap...tierods and axles....u seen the front tires start to toe in and the front end jumped releasing the pressure off those tierods....the angle on those axles arent right..that diff needs to come down more... ..the only way they dont put stress on the CV joints is straight across....
