The Green lantern's themselves are very interesting concept, it is their will power over all that conquer their fear, anger, passion, and greed But the COMICS do a WAY BETTER job in storytelling and character writing overall. This movie could have been epic But mainly due to incompetent writing and direction, it went down the toilet The movie can have a huge opinion on the main audience The Dark Knight was Amazing Now everybody thinks Batman is amazing The Green lantern movie sucked Now everybody thinks Green lantern sucks Man of steel sucked Now everybody thinks Superman sucks But in comics, these are some of the most compelling and charismatic characters in DC... But nobody reads comics So until a GOOD movie of these characters are made, everybody's opinion will stay the same Which Also sucks 😢

@@YAHSHUA777 Man of Steel was awesome but it was also the beginning of a bigger story that never got finished. But Superman has had people who thinks he sucks way before Man of Steel. People don’t think Green Lantern sucks, either, and the Dark Knight is another story cause it’s bred fanatics who are obsessed with the trilogy and hate bone any other Batman story made afterwards, even films that do out of character things that have been seen in the pre-Dark Knight movies like that one from the late 80s, things they fail to mention to the point where they look hypocritical. Back to GL real quick, WB Animated is the only one that really hates GL for some reason, especially Hal Jordon, whether he’s an overall joke or totally needlessly and pointlessly killed off by his friends. And btw, comics are great and all but they’re not infallible, either. They’ve done some bs, especially in recent times, including with Spider-Man and Thor.

@@YAHSHUA777 People need to understand that in Man of Steel, Superman didn’t even get the chance to show himself to the world before the Kryptonians came. He literally just met his father and got his suit. That was his first ever real fight. This is a running theme we saw in the Snyderverse films for a time: Whether it’s Lex Luthor wanting to prove Superman a hypocrite or the Kryptonian Invasion, reality keeps Superman from telling and showing the world who and what he really is. Instead, his power became his debut alongside those of his enemies who were willing to sacrifice the Earth, and he was forced to learn many of his lessons in Man of Steel the hard way, like holding back and ending conflict quickly over using might. We see such revelations more clearly when Superman corners himself and feels forced to kill Zod after he totally rejects his pleas to stop. Superman screams there because he didn’t wanna kill Zod, he hated that and probably wondered if there was another way. And what’s more, he realizes the fighting put him and Zod at a point beyond a peaceful compromise. In Batman V Superman, Superman starts showing the world himself by going around and doing good, using his strength to help and save people, but the impact of the Kryptonian Invasion was still apparent. The world was divided in the face of an all-powerful alien being, and it changed again when he sacrificed himself to save the world that rejected him from Doomsday. Superman returns for Zack Snyder’s Justice League because the world needs him again. Every time reality got in the way of Superman, he’d rise beyond it without losing who he was. He was destined to become the Man of Tomorrow he was meant to be, but Zack didn’t finish his story after his daughter killed herself. I believe Man of Steel would have been more appreciated if Zack was able. But I’m not here to judge you or anything. You seem reasonable, even.

Life in the universe *IS* realy rare compared to how many galaxies exist and yes that's why they have only so many, but not just because of that. They keep watering down Green Lanterns both in comics and movies / animation, when in truth they are weilding a frikkin thought based weapon, the most powerful category of weapons in the universe, this one in particular, only limited by your imagination and willpower. So yes, *theoraticaly* one - two Lanterns *should* be more than sufficient enough to cover entire space sectors. Is it shortsighted ? no, it's simply arrogant. The ring will find a replacement if one dies. That's what the Guardians are counting on.

@@raam726 That is nowhere near enough, even if local governments generally managed the day to day stuff, the amount of distress calls alone would still be astronomical, and that isn't even counting the big shit that takes up vast amount of time and resources as well as multiple lanterns.

Your point is invalid because the ring searches for a new bearer as soon as the user dies. Or it returns to Oa

It takes time for the ring to find and reach the new bearer. Even if it selects a user instantaneously, it still has to travel to their location, bring them to OA, and then the bearer has to be trained. If the ring returns to OA, that means it would take longer for this to happen. That still means there is a period of time where the sector is left undefended.

@@QixTheDS yeah but thats just normal then , is like if he is busy he cant be in 2 places at the same time if theres 2 lanterns and 4 things happen they cant be at all places at all times so that limitation will always be but the guardians make mistakes and Earth has been a learning experience for them in the comics and they have adopted stuff from them too like how to run the military and training on OA similar to Marines on Earth or something like that.

@@QixTheDS Yes but they respond to bigger threats that are very unsual not to every bad thing that happens.Also not all sectors have the same amount of living beings or actual advanced civilizations.They dont step in on something like civil war in a planet unless 1.The Lantern wants to or 2.Is a posible galactic level threat. Another thing is that theres just not enough people worth being a lantern.Also the universe is big and they rotate lanterns to do different things and sometimes they die and there isnt a replacement available not because they dont want to recruit but because there is not someone able to weild it on that sector(s). I mean I get what you mean and in the comics they keep recruiting but remember the Corps are supposed to be the best of the best and have tremendous willpower to weild the ring and just like Marines not everyone can be one.
