The only reason any child should be separated from one or both parents is if they hurt the child and are bad to them or a danger to them. To seperation them for any other reason is wrong.

How awful sad it is to hear him say his mother "was" as though she no longer "is". It hurts to see others go through such useless pain. It is not biblical to separate family members in this manner. Separating in marriage is forbidden and separating little children from their mother is punishing the entire family. It's a man made religion and there's nothing Biblical about 80's hair nor wearing dresses on a continuous basis and holding people hostage. I'd like to say "Hey, it's their religion and this is a free country, let them have their way!" But the sad part is, a lot of them are being FORCED into this and taught ONLY this way of life pretty much exists. So, it's got to say a lot when a few still manage to break free from such aggressive oppression!

I'm not religious at all but my ex is keeping my son from me. I have been a stay at home mom for 2 years and unfortunately the relationship had to end due to how he was treating me and since I dont have a home car or job I dont get my child. Yes I'm fighting it but Its one of the worst pains to not be able to see your child. I'm not a bad mom I dont do drugs or drink or anything.

I wonder were this particular speech pattern I hear in all the people from the FLDS came from? It is a really unique way of speaking-slow and almost sing-song. I have noticed they all speak that way-so distinctive and different. Not like any other American accent I have ever heard.

It's a late 1800's/early 1900's upstate New York accent that hit arrested development when they split off to Short Creek. Oddly, it's not just the Jeff's FLDS group. I know a few former Kingston, Davis County Cooperative and AUB members who have it, too.

I see not a single reason for women to be submissive to husband ... I see every reason for both spouses in a monogamous marriage to be faithful to each other, dedicated to protect their family and raise their children well so they behave in the same responsible, caring, honest , intelligent and faithful manner to ensure that everyone on the family stays healthy, safe, stable and reproduce these same family values and intelligent living ..

There are videos of his mother as a young woman at FLDS social events and concerts. She was very funny and theatrical, both articulate and musically inclined. I hope she manages to break free.

Mormonism is not christian denomination, even though they put Jesus in their church's name in 70s. Their Holy Book is mix of 1700s Bible and european settlers folklore, superstitions and other pagan stuff. One theory is that it was Devil himself who came to Joseph Smith in the shape of golden-winged 10ft angel while Smith was hiking in woods and gave him the plates and seerstone to lead him and his peers away from God and to create their own twisted form of "christianity". To me, this theory don't sound THAT far-fetched...

Mr J. Kottari please do not put the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints( mormon) with this religion. It was only done for a very short time when women were treated like property it stop in the 1800 and they follow the King James Bible. The church is most definitely Christian and believe and follow Jesus Christ as savior. If you were to get married to more then one women you would be excommunicated and loose your standing in the church.

Your saying stuff that’s not true and well uninformed. Have you ever talked to or learned about the religion or just learned from your church group all the scary things you could hear. I bet they grow horns to and you can see the devil in there eyes. It’s a Christian religion. It has nothing to do with this mess.

I am old now and if I had to live again .... t would take plenty of time to know people and men in particular ... and would only marry a man who truly cares for me and vive versa and who is fully committed to be faithful, treat me properly and his children and does everything in his power to protect his family and raise his children well, the number of which to be decided between the spouses, and teach them intelligent, safe and healthy living principles and who would show through examples ... no less ...... it may be that I would still not marry unless some drastic changes are made in the way things are and go

Cheisa Tanahatu Yes. She’s massively brainwashed, she was living in a car for some time but was able to get a job and find an apartment, they still won’t let her back into the church but she pays £1000 a month to the church in hopes they’ll take her back.

Sarah they are inbred it's a result of years of marrying family. One of the BIGGEST signs is something called Habsburg jaw. Famous kinda in Euro history date back and prove this is a direct result of inbreeding. Ofc this isn't hundreds of years with these people but my guess would be that's why. The jaw and mouth are one area it effects more vusually

It is not the Hapsburg jaw...oh my gosh!😂 This is how inbreeding works. If you have a bad trait in your family, like a messed up jaw, or heart problems, or anything, usually one parent carries the trait and you only have a certain percentage of inheriting it. But if the other parent is from the same family, they ALSO have the bad trait, so now you have the trait on both sides, and a larger likelihood of inheriting it. The inbreeding royal families in the 1700s had the Hapsburg jaw. The people in Utah don’t carry that trait. They aren’t related to European royalty. My thought is many have speech issues because they are traumatized and forced to be quiet, along with not hearing mainstream speech on tv or movies. Just a guess, though.
