One of my favorite youtubers is an ESFJ... this guy has an encyclopedic knowledge of history and politics and does great Q&A livestreams, but you can tell he'd much rather be speaking to us in-person than from behind a camera. His channel is really just a vehicle to promote the community organization he's building lol.

@@jimclayson you know, i use Ti and Te thousand times more often than Fe or Fi so someone coming around telling me "i have also Ti" but its their 3rd function or 4th instead of second or first doesnt help me understanding them

No, because ESFJs know that LOL we aren't always people pleasers etc. I think I might be an ESFJ, and yet I'm a very authentic person, who can clearly stand up for himself (although struggled with it for some time earlier) and I hate that "herd mentality". Even though I'm an ESFJ I'm a typical lonely wolf and I agree that sometimes you gotta just force people to work when you have a common goal

I’m confused why people think truth/what’s right and human emotional experience have to be at odds with each other. They directly communicate with each other. We need both, balanced… doesn’t the human emotional experience inform what’s right, and doesn’t what’s right inform the human emotional experience? I find that the people who are most effective at making positive change in the world are those who can hold both the emotional atmosphere and what’s right or true at the same time and realize that they aren’t inherently oppositional to each other. It’s not a contest.

Stealing someone's cigarettes because smoking's bad for them or mugging a billionaire and distributing some of his excess money to more numerous less rich people would make everyone better off...but it wouldn't be what? Right!

Nope. Everyone in my city says I have a very calm voice, and they are always shocked when I say I'm Italian. It really depends. I bet many ESFJs like to be peaceful and get tired of unnecessary loudness

Most wouldn't agree. But I'm curious as to why you would think so. Confusing the ESFJ for ISFP would be like thinking an INTP was an ENTJ, or an ESTP for ISTJ.

I am an INFP and yet I prefer the ESFJ because the ENFJ is too manipulative, arrogant, and preachy for me. The ESFJ may use platitudes but since their concern is temporary actions and not meddling in my head (or trying to) I get far less of an impulse to flip them off compared to ENFJs who go SJW. 😈
