Eskate Awards 2023 - What are the best electric skateboards and brands of the year Last video - • Ownboard Bamboo ZEUS P... Follow us on instagram - / eskatereviews
First suggestion. Separate your board styles from street boards and off road boards. Your missing some companies here for sure. The radiant f1,...the Raith board out of Australia that broke the world record and M Boards has been super transparent and gone above and beyond to communicate with people even if you dont own their products
I think the Meepo Bamboo Hurricane Ninja comes with a GaN fast charger, and cyclone street wheels along with the 7" AT wheels, and a set of both dkp and tkp trucks. Its pretty decent bang for buck. Although I think the ESC may have been downgraded from 70A to 55Amps. Im curious if you guys will review the Propel Pivot GT. The Pivot reminds me of a more powerful OMW. It's also $999 usd currently. Glad you guys are back posting more. Long time subscriber, first time commenter!
These guys seem to be disconnected from the community…not “in the know” perhaps. Some of their points I did agree on….but for the most part their review seemed, well….average. The fact there was no honorable mentions for the innovation award shocked me and then to give it to exway…🤯. Maybe things are different in their part of the world, and I can respect that, but here in the states I think you’ll find most people would disagree with more than a few of these awards. On the plus side, I appreciate the shit out of this content and enjoy the different point of views and the banter back and forth. Give us esk8 guys something to talk about disagree with 😉
Onsra in Europe pretty nice I think. Waterproof good battery pack. Thinking about the velar. On the expansive site with the velar but. Eu based is nice
Best boosted board clone like the Tynee ultra, meepo nls, acedeck Stella, or an Exway Flex. Most of those should be a good option for completely new riders with a lower budget and belt drive instead of hubs Also, you guys should have mentioned which boards specifically from acedeck, but they are all really fast. Also I am surprised the tynee explorer wasn't on here. Also do you guys upload esk8 content anywhere else besides this channel?
Keep up the videos up mate . Good job 👍 Simple and fun. I live in California. I only skate regular boards but I’m seeing more bloody eboards and I just wanted to do some research. You are making me do research so I get a nice eboard . Be safe and keep it up 👍
This is a great real world informal as all hell and useful... Of course there will be disagreement from the community but you guys did it well straight out and really quite funny to boot So thanks for the view...Your time spent and expense are not mentioned actually most riders may not even care or realize you guys are helping us whilst getting your hustle on...now that's fair play and respect to that. Cheers & Happy Holidays...wishing your two greater success than ever in the New Year 🎉.
I am currently looking to buy my first all terrain eboard which is how i found you guys. Great video. I have been debating between meepo hurricane carbon, or evolve 2 in 1 bamboo/ carbon. After watching this video not sure if either are worth the money. Really disappointed to hear the evolve was not fast, as the website says it goes up to 31 mph and a 40 mile range. I'm looking for speed (30mph or higher) with decent range to ride to work and back in the city, as well as being able to take it through trails when i head out of the city to the country. I have a budget so getting the 4 to 5 k boards is not an option at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or can anyone point me in the right direction? Seems everything i find is either not affordable, to slow, or does not have enough range to get me to work and back.
I've got a hadean and it does go over 30mph,as I do it regularly. But let me say as well anything over 25mph on a skateboard you know your travelling some.I very rarely feel I've got floor it(controller trigger pulled all the way in) as I'm going fast enough. You can't go wrong with a Hadean in my personal view, and what swung it for me with going with Evolve in the end was the ability to have service centres right here in the U.K,if your going to spend almost 2 grand on a board and something go's wrong and your not a hands on DIY'er with fixing things or replacement parts or the company your bought it from(probably in China) ask you to send it back to be fixed your talking big money.Import and export fees and all that crap.
Innovation absolutely shouldn’t have gone to exway for 2023. They’ve done jack shit this last year. Backfire, acedeck, or even Tynee would’ve been much better choices due to their big releases and improvements. Agree with the other commenter that it feels like you guys are in your own bubble sometimes. Nothing wrong with exway but definitely not the pick.
Excellent video I agree with almost every pic have meepo hurricane and a gtr series 2, always riding my GTR but I will give it to my hurricane for off-road. M BOARDS new board looks amazing, it would be better with a little bit more flex
I'm so hella confused choosing the meepo for worst bang for buck. You guys don't realize that the same specs on other boards are going to be 1600 when included shipping right? Not even talking about getting a fast charger and everything included.
Nice video! Other categories...? Top of head, but could be tricky, but how about categories for rider type: beginner, intermediate, advanced.. Category for motor type: belt, gear, direct. Category for use case: commuter, off-road, casual. Fun format and happy new year gents!
I like the Nomad also but the down angled back of the board is just not stylish to me, I know it has something to do with stability, but I just don't like it.I think the Acedeck Nyx z1 street is one of the best looking boards this year,At first I wasn't to fussed on the big battery box on the top of the deck but it's grown on me.
AceDeck is a good looking deck. Some of the short run Hadeans have been good looking. But I think the Backfire Zealot with the LED embedded in the bumper, all the way around the deck, although I would never buy one, is a very nice looking deck. 100% agree on Exway for innovation - they have so many options, add-ons, etc. Agree Evolve on support - they have been excellent to me on several occasions. I do feel like they're the "Apple of eSkate" - they are expensive, lower specs but they work out of the box and just keep working. They are just good for casual eskaters. Are Evolve the worst bang for buck? I mean.... you can ride it and it's not total garbage, so no - worst bang for buck would be any of the "Amazon" boards you can't even ride or are death traps. Those things are worthless, not just bad value - so that's worst bang for buck, technically. But it's hard to argue Evolve is good value for money - unless you say you're paying for support. Finally, as for new categories, I'd consider "best board for a new rider / casual", because most people are; especially as you're doing this near Xmas. Best board for offroad? Best board for a commuter (someone who is using it for "last mile" type stuff - like riding public transport, etc).
@@averageeskatereviews true I guess I got lucky and never had to deal with them. But I def think meepo has some good bang for buck especially in their lower end boards
WTF Evolved best support? ok story time poor this guy luke bought a evolved board it busted into Fire poor kid phone called them on his birthday week crying about his board they said to him sorry we won't help you as its 5 days passed it warranty, Zero Heart all money Evolved with the head twitchy guy earning 100k each year just to sell boards for the company he should go back to selling wine.
Ricky you'll have plenty time to sleep 😴 while waiting for parts to arrive from China and then when it comes, they've sent you the wrong thing as what you asked for got lost in translation.
