I am surprised that they are not using a bottomless portafilter to show the right technique. Mistakes can be corrected and you can see feedback instantly of proper beans, tamping.

Pt 3. if you 're drinking lots of espresso 8+ shots per day it is a good idea to have some food in your stomach to balance it, along with drinking a lot of water. Coffee does charge you up, that is why a lot of people drink it (me its for the taste, and my life) sparling water also works very well to even you out. It is the same deal with alcohol drink responsibly and you will be fine. What you're experiencing is common and treatable. it is mainly dehydration for both issues. hope this helped :)

pt.2 people have different tolerance levels to caffeine. and people get a placebo effect from espresso because it is just coffee no milk. but it is the same as vodka shot or vodka mixer with both you are consuming the same amount of alcohol, or in this case espresso, but with the shot you can really taste it. Coffee is a natural diuretic meaning that it will dehydrate you, per shot of espresso you should drink 1 litre of water to compensate! yes that much! This will fix you up, also if you ..

So were you a coffee drinker before? latte,cappuccino? then move to espresso? because both have the same caffeine content or your lattes may have more you need to ask your barista what kind of doseage they are using the dry and wet weight (liquid weight) standard single shot is 10-14 grams dry for 30mls, 1 ounce espresso. Double is 17-22 grams dry 45ml - 60ml espresso, 2 ounce. the caffeine content in espresso is actually quite low from arabica varietals.

I respect this guy's passion but that dark crema with a lighter spot in it would be considered as a bad case of overextraction in Italy. They call it "bottone bianco", white button. The crema should have a uniform nut color.

Italy don't really know good coffee. They know good crema and we must give them credit that they brought it to europe and gave us the foundation for espresso's and filter extractions, but they roast it till its burnt and prefer robusta to arabica.

I really don’t get espresso and how ppl could enjoy it. But then again a lot of ppl enjoy whiskey, so I might be the one with taste anomaly. Or maybe I just haven’t found a good barista yet. Nevertheless, whiskey is shit tho 😁

I think it's because in coffee, anything less than excellent needs lots of milk and sugar to taste good. If I put a lot of thought into the process of making espresso, it's to try to achieve excellent tasting coffee every time - kind of line fine tuning a recipe for baking - it has to be done with just the right measurements and temperature to come out the way you want, ya know?

it`s crazy to see what a pseudo-science coffee became in countrys that usually do SHIT coffee! The very first thing that is totally wrong with this guy: his cups are kept the wrong way on the machine, they have to be stored upside down, so the cups heat up themselfes. NOBODY in Italy puts hot water in a coffee cup to warm up the cup, because, there simply enough wouldn`t be time for this nonsense!
