@@reginaphalange3607 Betty never won a Golden Globe. None of the other ladies from Golden Girls did. Estelle is the only one. They all won an Emmy, though.
I love how she says it will be in her room because she's the one that actually won it, reminiscent of the episode where they all go bowling and Rose says it lol.
@@bradleyscarton3931 i believe these 2 really like each other so much. When Betty White was asked about the working relations in Golden Girls and was told that a co-star didn't seem to be that crazy about her, Betty teasingly asked: who the short one or the tall one? Betty and Rue has the same height.
Those were 2 great shows. I am a HUGE Golden Girls fan. I still watch it! I also remember watching Moonlighting as a kid and it was a great show too. At least the first season or two was.
It was a privilege to get to watch the first season of The Golden Girls and the second season of Moonlighting during the 1985-1986 season, even though I was only thirteen or fourteen at the time and probably missed some of the double entendres.
@@BamaFan-vc4gn Yeah, I agree. I think she was just humbled by it all--I mean look at who was in the category with her. And Bruce Willis could not look any cuter, no?
Here we know who really won, her great sense of humor and her excitement to be there made her a Golden Globe winner. Estelle Getty is the only winner that night. There should never have been a tie.
The Golden Girls is my favorite comfort show to this day. I watch it about every night for two or three hours before bed. Cybill Sheppard was terrific in Moonlighting as well. I was lucky enough to be a teenager when both shows were on.
@@aartadventure hi, love your work of telling others to do some basic research, but they are right. Estelle was the only one to win a golden globe. All of them won Emmy’s but only Estelle won a golden globe.
I love how Estelle was so cheerful and happy but then whoever that lady was is just like oh okay another award also in my opinion there should’ve been no tie
@@autumnwishes8364 Agreed! Moonlighting was a detective show, not unlike Remington Steele, with the roles reversed. Cybill Shepherd played Maddie Hayes, a former model who inherits a private detective agency and Bruce Willis is David Addison, who runs the agency. I was fourteen during the 1986 Golden Globes (I’m fifty now). It’s hard to believe nowadays how good television was back then. The Golden Girls, Moonlighting, The Cosby Show, Murder She Wrote, etc.
@@richj6596 I think the "hate" came after he became more successful as the series continued. The first season or two, there was no talk about them being combative.
