I really have to point out at section 12:10 where you are playing with the POSITIVE side of the battery (when the NEG is still connected), it can't be stressed enough to make sure you do not hit the metal bracket and short out the connection. That would be bad.
This wiring kit is designed to fit the 2019 - 2022 Toyota RAV4. Check it out on our website in the following link. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/CURT/C56434.html
Yes, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime's 12V battery will be in the same location as shown in this video. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Curt/C56434.html
The control box needs to be connected to the battery because you do not want any interference from any other accessories. If you were to over load the fuse from another accessory, you could blow the fuse and your trailer lights would lose power. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Curt/C56434.html
I just received the Curt 56434 kit for my 2020 Rav 4 and removed the panels and nothing is the same as in the video. It appears that the factory has true plug and play not "CUSTOM"
The kit that you have purchased is the only style kit that we have for the 2020 Toyota RAV4. They plug into the back of the tail lights and are powered by the battery. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Curt/C56434.html
