[EU4] Capturing flagships be like 

Some of the modifiers on flagships would be even more unrealistic like You could in theory stack fleet movement speed bonuses

@@hed0n yeah, that would be a great path, stealing ships may be actually worth our time other than "okey, less to build i supose"

@@jamesexplainsmath Makes sense since the flagship has the manual of the country's language and these abilities would've been used at the enemy's favor if shown, maybe it could also be something learned during training or as a secret to make sure that even those who understand the language of the country where it was built would be widespread to everyone.

Otherwise you could stack insane bonuses

@@okbro3524 I mean, I've played almost a thousand hours of EU4 and I'm fairly good at it- but I've never had more than 2 enemy captured flagships at any given time- Besides its not like you can calculate what bonuses the ai will build the ships with, making stacking the same bonuses unreliable at best.

I had 5 in my BYZ to Rome run: My own, one I captured from the Mamluks, one I captured from Portugal, and TWO captured from Spain.

@@poldi2233 True, if it's meant to represent the country it might as well be glorious, flagship officers is the bonus that I always use since it makes admirals better by inspiring admirals and creating a successful generation of sailors.

@@Rullino32 I tend to use durability so I don't lose it, engagement width or morale and mass load cannons. Sometimes I will swap cannons for trade power if money is more important than naval power.

No this has happened to me before plenty times, if one of them rivals the other (usually because they can't rival anyone else) the alliance will break

I've seen a good number of playthroughs where breaking the alliance is one of the first opening moves as either nation.

It's useful to show that you're the best on naval warfare and even more if you enact the piratical reform "Bounty hunting" since you can get gold and many other things out of it, you'd get less if you break them, you'd be better off using the "Prize hunting" naval doctrine for more loot out of flagships since pirate Republics aren't that wealthy, or at least not at the start.

I was playing as the playing as the Netherlands with an economy so strong I was like 40 heavy ships over force limit and making 50 ducats. By the end of the game I had about 10 flagships in my fleet
