From aglaia to here I feel like we went from fighting the greek gods in Mt Olympus to fighting the celtic gods in an irish pub and I absolutely love it
'Dawn of a New Era' is one of my favorite pieces of music in all of FFXIV. Hearing it remixed into this is so absolutely wonderful. What an incredible track.
I'm really happy they went with a fiddle and an accordion! The Aglaia battle theme got old really quickly since I'm not big on the brass horns of the gods, but I love this Celtic feeling jig for a battle theme! It reminds me of early 2ks JRPGs by Gust co.
@@MistaHoward Ah, stop doing that. Me and the friend i did the raid with have cleared all the savages and ultimates, and we got wipes. Stop being toxic. Mechs can wipe players, that's all. Plus there's a dps check on Halone. --'
In a way, they are. They finally, FINALLY have a chance to interact with us, to meet us, get to know us and of course measure themselves up to us. They couldn't be happier, they're loving every moment and on the edge of their seats waiting for us to learn who they truly are.
I wondered if this raid could possibly top the feeling I got seeing Nald'Thal and the first notes of their theme for the first time... but man, entering Euphrosyne, getting the Patron Goddess of Gridania as the first boss, with this banger fast-paced theme? Yeah, I don't know why I even doubted for a second.
So many leitimofs… I hear the Maker’s Ruin, main theme of Final Fantasy, Prelude, the Azys Llys theme, and the Myths of the Realm theme/Dawn of a New Era.
I was gonna say I thought I heard Scale and Steel in there just before the Dawn of a New Era theme, but I had no idea why that would be part of the song, so I thought maybe I was hearing things
@@camilleb634 Opening beat at 0:00, Myths of the Realm motif at 0:25, Scale and Steel/Order Yet Undeciphered at 0:50, Dawn of a New Era at 1:02, Final Fantasy Main Theme at 1:27, Prelude at 1:53, and then it loops back to the opening beat.
Seeing so many people enjoy ff14 brings both tears of joy and sadness. Joy because I’m glad we all have something we love in common and can equally all enjoy. Sadness because I wish more games had a community backing it like this game does. I might get back in because of these soundtracks and boss fights. The grinds the grind. Music is eternal. ❤
I think this is the first time I saw anyone record a fight while playing a smn instead of tank or something. Love it! Before started to focus on getting a degree I mained a SMN, loved playing it, nerfed or not. 🥰
Usually the third part is the biggest one, but here I don't know, I mean, Part 1 and 2 were already so big (to the point it already topped my all time Favorite alliance Series: Ivalice even if I'm biaised by my love for FFT and XII) I stuggle to see how they could top that again
What other song is that starting around 1:04? I've heard it somewhere else in the game, or something very similar to it. Love the whole damn thing though lol
Remember that the entrance to the Raid is in Mor Dhona; it's "Intertwined" the Mor Dhona theme, which was also used more clearly in "Defender of the Realm" and the Omphalos theme (the instance area where we meet the 12 before going in to fight them.)
Lmao now that I think about it, why is this song in a duty where we fight Greek-like gods in their heavenly palaces? This song would be perfect for anything pirate-themed in Dawntrail/7.0
In 1.0 they had barrels and other objects with the same polygon amounts as a character model and servers crashed consistently. Now they are like “F** the flowers dammit!”
@TheRetifox wow, way to overgeneralize an entire community of people and all around be unpleasant. If you truly see the community in such a negative light, please play a different game. We do not need your toxicity. It's ironic given that you're the bad part of the "community" that you're slandering, and it's people like you that make it unpleasant for the rest of us. Go figure
Maybe I’m a simple as shit, but if the Reaper was instead was scythe-based nature-wielding magical martial (and call it the Harvester) instead of the edgy anime death theme…I’d probably make it my main class.
That may be a cool idea to add later on in games life cycle when they don’t want to add any new jobs to the game or at least at the rate they have been. Make some sort of job skins/reflavors that keep the mechanics and skills exactly the same but just with different effects and slight animation differences to add a new spin on the class. Maybe even name changes on abilities if they want to go all in on it. Could be cool to see a nature reaper, dark paladin, or light based dark knight 😂
This raid needed another track, this theme was fine for the first two, but when you're up against the Ishgardian deity, known for her icy fury, it's time to turn off the line dancing music.
This raid feels so out of place to me, then again I think it’s cause this is the first purely FF14 lore we’ve gotten that doesn’t reference any other games. Like I’m half expecting to be like “OH THATS FROM FF ##”
@@jackodaw8652 true, but from a musical standpoint the raid themes feel so “un-final fantasy” like if that makes sense lol. First raid I was half expecting enya to drop them on her next album, this one feels very Nordic? I love it just feels weird and out of place. Tho we fighting literal Gods so it fits
‘Good old days’ it’s been a bit over a year since SHB and nier ended lol, and you can’t tell me nier wasn’t narratively threatening. Even non-narratively and just mechs wize players try to avoid it cuz its actually kinda tough lol
Some less world ending threats for narratives is a good break from what Endwalker was all about. We need this kinda story, and I'm glad we're getting it.
It wouldn't be the RU-vid comments if someone didn't come along to be That Guy. Cheap. Pfft. It's possible to not enjoy something without insulting it, man. Grow up.
