Euro Truck Simulator 2 - How to Set Up Triple Monitors

If you wish to take a break from sim racing and get your ETS 2 (Euro Truck Simulator 2) on and you also have triple screens then this guide should help you. I'll run you through how to set up NVIDIA surround (or you will need AMD Eyefinity), the correct FOV and how to input all the information into Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Your videos are always of high quality, and easy to understand. You've done a great job. We'd need the same tools to configure 49" and 57" curved screens in 32/9, so that the image isn't stretched.

@@TraumaTeamRacingI play this game a lot and every time I've changed computers, SSDs etc.. over the years it's always been a pain to remember how to set up this game properly, and this... my friend is a perfect guide, and the very least I can do is thank you for your work with a like and a comment, which only costs 3 minutes to do, compared to hours of research on the internet to find the exact measurements and correct steps, I'd say it's a bargain, and all for free, so thank you.

@@TraumaTeamRacing yes today i got my 3 th screen and just bought few days ago American truck 2024 with all the dlc, love it, i did just with 2 screens, bu missed teh left view so got a 3th and doing mathermatics for do it perfect lol thank you again, cheers from France oh i give you ( maybe a fabulous tip: get the programm called " Helios Display management" with this, you make 2 shortcuts on your desk, for expand or not yours screens, it avoid to deal with NVidia Control Panel ^^ enjoy the tip

hi, I'm new to both the game and triple screens. I tried NVidia Surround and encounted some problem. I found alternative (I think) but I want to know the advantage of Nvidia Surround. If I enable it and follow your guide, does it mean less distortion on the two side screens? Thanks.

Following my method you should have no distortion of the side screens. The FOV is calculated and adjusted correctly 👍🏻

Thank you for your tutorial. I do have a question. When I setup the NVidia Surround, my refresh rate comes down to 60hz and It cant be changed. I have 3 144hz monitors. Its normal?

You are very welcome. This is usually due to mismatched monitors or differing forms of connection (HDMI and DP being used in the same set up). I would check these first. You can also have a driver issue. I would also bear in mind you are now rendering a 4K + image with the surround so this can cause a bit of a performance hit. Hope this helps.

its needed to activate nvidia surround, i mean, in assetto corsa, into content manager you can put 5760 x 1080 and the game launch correctly, without black screens, you can do that in euro truck simulator 2 o its necessary to put on nvidia surround?

You buy a third 16:9 monitor. This isn't worth the headache and will give a bad result.

Nice result, however doesn't multimon horizontal fov in config.cfg which in your case is set at 50 (6:37) override all those settings in multimon config file?

No 👍🏻 Same as adjusting it in the menu does nothing.

@@TraumaTeamRacing Sorry, but I can confirm it does. I was getting no change with any setup I loaded into multimon config as in the video, but when I went and changed this after reading this comment, it made all the difference.

Great Video. What is wrong, if no settings in multimon config changes anything? i got mode2 in config, and followed all your video. the only changes that do anything, is the settings in the config. Anywhere i read, that mode 2 dont use the multimon config, and only 4. If i use the spreadsheet to calculate my values, and put them in the multimon config, they have no effect, only i mode 4, and then screen is absolute wrong.

@louis1387 You don't. There would be little benefit in doing this and I don't believe it is possible the way the game is rendered.

There is still little benefit in doing this. I would always advise matching your monitors. This seems like a lesson in compromise as you could gain the same vertical real estate and much more in width with matched monitors.

i did ewerything as in video.. now when i play it looks ok. but picture is all zoomed in.. like the seat is all the way upfornt.. but it is set to all the way back.. i want to get it back so i can see more of the interior when im driving. now when i look out the window i just see the tol of the steeringwheel and the very top of the instument panels. i have to look down to se the instruments.. if i change multimon mode from 2 to the original 0 i can change it all. but gps and all are not in center monitor. help plz.

This will be your true to life FOV. If you don't like it you can 'fiddle' it and just adjust the calculation by increasing your distance from screen. But this will be wrong. I have the same, I can't see the instruments, same as you would in real life. You would have to look down.

@@jugge73 You are welcome mate. It is a bit of a steep learning curve but well worth it. If you want to move your view around using your head you can look into something called TrackIR. I have no experience with it, but I think a lot of people on truck sim use it.

It is not. If you have an AMD card you would need to use AMD Eyefinity which is the AMD alternative. Hope that helps 👍🏻

@@jin_dorifto Things to check. All connected by display port, are they all set to the same refresh rate, have you upgraded NVIDIA drivers. This sounds like a hardware problem to me.

yeah all connected to DP(same dp cables), the screen flickers at 165hz (my monitor supports 165Hz 1080p) i had to change it to 120hz then no flickering. Played awhile with surround for few days then suddenly the PC crashes. Went on to use SRWE and my PC has no problems.@@TraumaTeamRacing

man I thought I found my solution and it could be easy. did all the steps but the spreadsheet will give only "#VALUE!" if I put in the details for left and right monitor.

This shouldn't be happening and sounds like an input error, unfortunately. Are you trying to run the spreadsheet outside of Excel?

great tutorial, many thanks for that. but what is extremely annoying, and i mean really exaggerated, is the excessive advertising. i have rarely seen a tutorial video of a rather niche industry like truck simulator with so much advertising. i find that very cheeky.
