As an European, especialy that i live in the Balkan side, peoples are here fully fake and very mean, they smile in your face talk crap of you on your back. I hear all over how "bad" is USA and that "usa is the head of the problems" meanwhile i'm just like, peoples are trash everywhere.. I think most peoples hate Countries based of the goverments actions? I think. I have a friend from USA that helped me alot, and plays games with me etc, and even helped me with money ! It just matter how good is the person you meet, doesn't matter the country, they keep saying that Americans don't know Geography, i mean why you would need to know all the countries, when you can just learn the most important and basic ones? Plus if you go to Europe and ask peoples about others countries, i'm sure you'll meet many who won't know to name many either ,this is just mass missinformation... To make hate between Americans and Europeans and vice versa. Honestly, i love all parts of the earth, and i wish peoples would be less racist about it. I mean if we wouldn't have put names to places, we would all be the same..

What also kills me is that traveling isn't cheap either. A lot of American culture is wrapped around work (and often times our employers are kinda dickhead corporations) so getting the time off and the money (if not eaten up by bills and other responsibilities) is difficult to get for a trip. So often times we travel in our own country as a result. Like I'm sure many would love to see the world but it's not feasible for everyone.

I am American and commute by train 3 to 5 times per week in Germany. I can tell you with absolute confidence that it's never a fellow American being loud and obnoxious on the train. If it's not teenagers (it's usually teenagers) then the second most-likely culprit is someone from Eastern Europe talking loudly on their phone, listening to music/watching videos without headphones, etc. Third most likely culprit are Turks and men from the Middle East. Fourth are Spaniards. Fifth are white German men who want everyone to know they're on a very important business call doing important business things.

the majority of euros are very publicly eugenicist. and you all would be dirt poor if your governments werent enslaving and stealing from the rest of the world, because as most can see, europeans view working as worse then getting murdered for some reason. its such a cemented part of euro culture to look down on anyone who didnt inherit wealth. i doubt that will change, as long as you all keep tolerating monarchs in most of your countries. those monarchs will make sure all media glorifies their actions and incentivizes their populations to accept and emulate them. global poverty wouldnt exist without monarchs.

1:34 The car thing always bothers me. I get it a lot because I’m originally from the US but currently live in the UK. People always make jokes about how I only have a car because I’m American and not used to walking or biking. Um, no. I have a car because I’m *disabled*. I can’t put a lot of pressure on my extremely feeble ankles and knees or walk for long periods of time without severe pain. Oh, and the reason I drive an automatic? Yeah, it’s not because I can’t drive manual (I can, learned how to when I was 17). It’s because my left ankle is _much_ worse than my right, so working the clutch is not only tedious, but it actually becomes painful after a while.
@emilyann4549

I'm in the US and am also disabled. I have epilepsy, so I can not drive. Life is so much harder here without being able to drive. Public transit is horrible, and everything is way farther apart. @theworldsmostforgottentown
@theworldsmostforgottentown 2 месяца назад
Literally Europeans miss the fact that quite a lot of Americans absolutely wish we had more robust public transit options! Especially in more rural areas, if you don't live in a major city then the bus schedules are so frustrating to deal with, especially if you don't live 3 blocks from the nearest bus stop. It's not like the average US citizen wanted for our country to become car-centric, that's the fault of major companies making the US car-centric. Before the advent of cars, our towns and cities used to actually be quite pedestrian-friendly
@SewingBoxDesigns
@SewingBoxDesigns 2 месяца назад
@theworldsmostforgottentown Scandal how the more well to do in my city had the bus stops REMOVED from the main streets, so you have to walk ten blocks or just give up and pay some blackmailing Uber or Lift driver (usually a drug addict) to get you anywhere but the hospital or the local low rent college. can confirm legs would fall off, I live in an extremely rural area on top of a mountain the nearest bus stop is about a 3-hour hike down some mountains. While having to constantly be on alert for mountain lions/cougars, coyotes, rattlesnake, idiot drivers and mule deer which are much bigger compared to regular deer. They're similar to caribou in height and can be a bit mean depending on the time of year. Now if I was to walk to the nearest grocery store unfortunately that would be take about 6 hours with even more mountains just to get to the store, and would be 6 hours back the other way, so 12+ hours just to walk and get some groceries doesn't seem entirely worth it. Yeah, and a lot of us also have backyard chickens that y'know, just lay that color. My brother's pet Rhode Island Red and Barred Rocks (both classic American breeds) lay brown eggs as bog standard. That's just how they do so that's what we eat. 😂 Most industrial laying chickens these days actually usually have Italian leghorn blood and they lay white eggs. But previously the RIR was the big industrial layer and yep, brown eggs. Many traditional American chickens actually lay brown. Or if Amerucanas, even green or blue. 😂 So yeah, definitely we don't just have white eggs anymore than the rest of the world does.

Especially where I live there is a large Spanish speaking community. They can go on with their lives not speaking English and they’ll be fine. Luckily she was very nice and understanding, she was mainly curious. P.S. If you’re are reading this Hailey and decide to travel to the United States again, you should check out the flowers that bloom in the desert. It’s called “desert bloom.” It’s so gorgeous specifically in national parks like Death Valley for example. Very interesting how an environment mainly associated with harsh conditions can bring such beautiful life.

I live in Ireland and this is how I felt going through all 6 years of secondary education. Everyone there would needlessly and ruthlessly insult the USA and say some genuinely despicable stuff over whatever they could. But when it came to other countries, it was all jokes about their issues. In a nutshell, they cared too much about the USA and cared too little about every other nation. The worst part though was a substitute teacher from Italy came to teach an "ethics" class (which is basically philosphy and politics) and spent the entire lesson insulting the USA and saying all sorts of horrible stuff. Not just criticizing, but seriously insulting, and some of the things she said weren't even the correct truth, jusr surface-level knowledge, misunderstanding or conjecture. One American friend of mine dropped that class entirely after that because of how horrible it was.

@@elyenidacevedo1995 It WAS miserable. In fact, several people I know who are IRISH dropped the Ethics class because of it and similar incidents. And I wish I knew why because like, there's a time and place to discuss politics of the country someone is from. And the way that they would do it in my school was never constructive, insightful or anything (the only time it was when I, who was adopted by Americans, talked to the singular American teacher about it). Like, go on your hate train somewhere else. Why do it to a person from there unless they're spouting drivel (which none of the Americans at my school ever were)? I had a Chinese girl in my school's D&D club but no one ever went up to her and started insulting China and acting as if the government = the people. Due criticism is fine, and you don't have to like a country at all. But there's a time, place and a way to talk about it, and doing what my school did is not the way to do it. It solves nothing and no one comes away feeling anything except disdain.
