Really upset, as an American, to learn a gallon of ice cream and family sized bags of chips aren't single serving products. I thought it was in our Constitution that they must be consumed in 1 sitting.
Bro, I'm only allowed like 4 scoops of icecream, like if you're going to eat a whole gallon, it's because you're stress eating. (To clarify, I am not calling out the joke, I am simply saying that eating a whole gallon of ice cream is stress eating.)

On the ramen topic, In America we have a really bad problem with poverty. And ramen is cheap here, so a lot of people can only afford to eat things like ramen.
It's similar in Japan and other places over in Asia, you can always find super cheap, cup noodles for when you're in a pinch. It also looks like they have *better* convenience store food though, not just fried chicken, pizza, and subs lol since less people cook at home over there. Ramen is great, rich or poor
Not these Europeans telling on themselves that they've never eaten fruit. Also, that woman saying "go make your own croissants" is so frustrating. Real croissants take around _three days_ to make because of how you have to prepare and cool the dough. NO ONE is making fresh croissants at home.
not to mention the sheer amount of butter you need to make them. i know it's not the case in every state but as someone who's in California, where the butter is anywhere between $5-$7 dollars for the cheap stuff, not only do i not have the patience but i also don't have the money to make them lol
@@krispyaudios3892 Yeah no kidding. And you need _good_ butter to get good croissants. You can't just buy any butter willy nilly. It's just not a practical thing to tell people to make from scratch!
I made croissants from scratch once for the experience (and I was a croissant fiend as a kid lol). They didn't even turn out as good as the pre-made store bakery ones, and I'm a fairly good baker 😭 I'll just get a pack from Costco for $12 thanks 😂
Also, she's most definitely a hater of disabled and poor people and the products they buy. You know she's the type to look at an electric can opener and start whining about lazy people not wanting to open their cans on their own anymore. "Screw arthritis! You're just lazy!" I bet she saw the cut avocado pieces and complained about the plastic and lazy people too. "I don't care that removing an avocado pit can be hard for people with mobility issues! They should stop being lazy and just risk getting injured like normal people don't have to worry as much." Gosh, I bet she freaks out when she sees carton bottles of 100% egg whites. "Why not just crack a dozen eggs, and risk failing to separate a few?" Because not everyone has the time or energy? Someone baking a lot of cakes and pies would appreciate having part of the work done. Just because they themselves don't see a use for it yet, they think it's unnecessary and useless for everyone else.
Well, I am from the UK, however I have many Jamaican Seasonings that I use for my Chicken, but maybe it's because I'm a quarter Jamaican, hoping at least some European people know about season.
My word! As an European who is also 16 years old, I felt second hand embarrassment throughout this whole video. Like this specific people in these TikToks really thought they are doing the continent of Europe a favour when in reality, they are making non-Americans look like idiots 💀
I actually like the mini size packaging from Europe, from snacks, to canned tuna to body deodorant, something I didn't saw in my travels to USA. So, for a loner traveler used to small 1 person size stuff, USA can be a little shocking, but expected.
I think its like giving them back what they gave us. They also come to european countries bitching about our stuff so we do the same. I mean many americans still think europe is a fkn country. im not even joking. I even had a discussion with an american who said the holocaust is fake. They make fun of our food because its not sweet enough ... uh yeah sorry karen but our food has strict laws and isnt full of sugar
Why is our fruit so colorful? Very simple, for you mooks who don't know how plants work, sunlight effects the brightness and color of fruit. The places in the US that grow fruit tend to get a lot of sunlight, rather than being overcast for half the year as those of you in the UK are so used to.
10:53 Eggs from America are thoroughly cleaned before being sold, which also scrubs off the protective layer which prevents bacteria and other nasties from getting into the egg itself, and therefore need to be refrigerated. Eggs from Great Britain don’t go through this process of thorough cleaning, hence why they do not require refrigeration.
I can confirm this as someone who has chickens, we just wash the eggs under hot water for 1 minute to clean the bacteria off and is safe to eat! They also taste better than the store bought in my opinion!

@@KtT-sn8cythe "bread" section definetely is there but it is like 1/100th of what you see in american stores and the bagged bread is called toast, not bread because it's the sole use of it here. We have them to I only remember the name of one of them traider Joe their food are over priced you're better of doing gardening or small scale farming.
I think the big issue is supermarkets vs markets. Aussie, Americans and Canadians all use supermarkets, Europeans rarely use them because of the space they take so they're left with small groceries and cornerstores that fit the native environment reducing the available choices.
@@yesplatinum7956 i think that's probably because. I too live in a small town and they don't have party sized food, but when i go to a near big city they usually have it

As a European, I'm dissapointed in the people that are mad at family/party sized stuff. It's called FAMILY/PARTY SIZED FOR A REASON! They're also specifically only paying attention to the bigger sizes, but not the normal sizes. 🤦🏽
I live in the US and they almost always stamp the words "Party size" on those big bags of potato chips, cake mixes, snack mixes, etc. If it's a large size, they love to put those words on the box!
7:16 Convenience stores in japan and korea literally have ramen and noodles packaged, Like it's accessible. Cheap. Not just in east asian countries, But literally all of Asia. Do europeans catch their own fish? Do they butcher their own meat or something and cook things entirely from scratch, Do they still use a bonfire to cook things? I'm confused
The ramen bit made me roll my eyes cause there are so many videos of people going to a convient in Japan and showing off the massive variety. Like that section was tiny XD
Yeah idk what their problem is. It’s like America lives rent free in their heads. I certainly don’t think about Europe every single day. And I also don’t judge their culture and customs because they are different countries…like duh…these people make zero sense.

So specifically American eggs, our chickens usually aren't vaccinated against salmonella, so the eggs are sterilized and as a result need to be refrigerated. This is coming from someone who sells eggs and owns chickens btw!
It won't last lol. Once Trump becomes President again the rest of the Western World won't shut up about Americans being dumb even though Trump is definitely the better option.
As a European we have almost all of this stuff. Also! Let’s not pretend we’re way healthier, because tell me why a whole aisle for bread is too much but a almost two aisles for alcohol is okay? (Probably mostly wine too btw)
The thing is here in Europe we have all the sections every grocery store does, but i live in a relatively small country and most shops are not that huge. So it's not that were shocked at that there's food in the aisle. It's more the amount of options you can choose and the size of the grocery store itself that shocks us. But these people on tiktok are acting a bit too over the top. Love from the Netherlands🇳🇱
I am a European person and except for the party size bags I have seen everything showed on this video: pickles in a jar (where would they be if they weren't in a jar?), flavored water, big packs of cans of soda, syrups, entire sections for bread, eggs in freezers, yoghurts with unhealthy things added, medicine and yes, even clothes on the grocery store. This is just what a grocery store looks like ON EVERY CORNER OF THIS PLANET.
So true. I've been to grocery stores in western Europe and there is nothing unusual about the packaging. The only exception is a Swiss grocery store has a LOT more cheese and they sell milk in hermetically sealed cartons on shelves, not in refrigerators.

@@MiMi_MoMoFalse. The British did not attack America with the intent or reconquering the territory they lost in 1783 with the end of the Revolutionary War. The Empire lacked the numbers, finances and morale to attempt. They were at war with America in 1812 over a few concerns with the main one being over America's very rapid, bloody westward expansion and the fear that their Canadian territory would be at risk. Keep in mind, it was America who declared War on Britain in 1812. And taking into account the above, Britain did not lose the war of 1812. If anything, the result was a stalemate if not a win for Britain.
It's so true as an American living in Europe. There's been so many uncomfortable times after sitting down at a café and the strangers around me find out I'm an American. But apparently, Americans are the rude ones 🤦♀️

It kinda bugs me that some Europeans are perpetuating these bothersome stereotypes that we're a backwards neck of the woods in the middle of nowhere and we have never seen a supermaket before. It's simple: where there's capitalism, there's loads of stuff. We just don't have the space to make our stores that big, so we just make multiple floors. There are so many fascinating differences in cultures around the world to talk about. Why do people feel the need to make up stupid new ones?

Why are europeans so obsessed with Americans? I never hear Africans talking about Americans like this I never hear Australians talking about Americans like this it seems to be a mainly European thing. At least at this degree of course everybody talks about every country, but not everybody talks about one specific country to this degree, unless they are utterly obsessed
Going to costco and being suprised that things are large, is like going to the beach and being suprised there is sand.... what did you expect to find there!? Its a bulk store intentionally to save money
I mean it’s not like Costco doesn’t exist in Europe , they have Costco all over . So either this person who made this TikTok has never ever stepped foot in a Costco, never heard of Costco or they’re just a plain idiot.
They act like they don’t have their own version of Costco. They’re proving that they don’t go outside unless it’s to dunk on other countries on how they run things based on their culture and still complain when they do it presumably they way they want it to. It’s like they can’t make up their minds and can only complain because their lives are so depressing and boring that that’s the only thing they can do
Another thing that those Europeans PRETEND to don't know it's that maybe there are people who buy those family size packages and other big portions only for them alone, but that doesn't mean they eat them completely in one sitting, someone can buy a entire bucket of icecream for one person and eat like a cup of icecream per week
“Why treat yogurt like it’s ice cream?” Because yogurt is healthier than ice cream and it could be a good replacement if you’re trying to make some better choices.

I stopped listening to people bashing America when I started seeing them mocking us for using utensils. Like what are you people eating with? Also like how people don't do research. I can't tell you how many times I see someone saying our healthcare is employer based. I've always had health insurance and at one point it was free but I've only had one job that offered it. Infact our healthcare has similar concepts to the Swiss or Netherlands model. I also like how you show examples of their ridiculousness. I saw a video of a guy from the U.K who was in a gun shop in America complaining about all the guns, like dude it's a gun store what do you expect? I looked up pictures of gun stores in the U.K and guess what they had walls lined with guns all the same.

None of their habits were healthy. I should point out that these 2 were high school students from the Western half of Europe. I have also hosted 4 different college students who came to America for internships. That program worked mostly with Eastern Europeans. Other countries don't seem to like the USA. They must have forgotten that every country has its fair share of foolish individuals. Im german. I have to say we dont really have big ahh family portions and our "normal" portions are def smaller. But the rest idk. We have sweets, soda, and cake mixes, funny snacks and pickles in jars (Gewürtzgurken). So why exactly are people acting like we live in 1760 or sth in Europe 💀💀
Main difference Europe has walkable areas so they buy food on a more daily basis. Because they don’t need to drive everytime they want to go to the grocery store Americans and from what I can tell of this video Australians don’t have that luxury and therefore just buy a few weeks worth of grocery’s about once or twice a month and call it a day. So if you’re buying groceries daily I supposed bulk food would look wild to you. Additionally I don’t think “buy everything in once place” stores are all that popular over there due to zoning laws and what not? But you would think the first response would be “oh how convenient” not “omg flowers in a food store, how kooky”
as an American the only way I’ve found that you can fight back against all the hate is to laugh at it. I genuinely appreciate when people see through the cherry picked videos it’s not okay to bully any other ethnicity or cultures but when it’s AMERICANS it’s fine 🥰🥰
yeah they think bullying someone for "being in the top position" is ok just because they're on top when its never ok to bully anyone no matter how well off they are. i mean i do hate the 1% because they're rich and are just oblivious to how real life works but thats diff. i dont bully them or anything, i just ignore them and dont listen to them when they speak lol. to be fair too though america does like to put its nose in others business which i think is wrong AF, we shouldn't be doing that.
I don’t think Europeans got the memo about not bullying other cultures, because the way they talk about Africans and Arabs (even the liberals) is like they’re actual animals. Talking to Europeans about those groups will make you feel like you’ve been transported back in time to the days of slavery, colonization and experimentation on black people

Ive been in multiple European countries and: kids everywhere eat those mm yoghurt things, we stock our eggs in the fridge, we put our pickles in a jar, we also have different sections, we have oranges, candies, have family sized groceries and also have ice cream in buckets. The only thing different is that we have different stores where we find ramen, I've personally never found ramen in a grocery store. We usually find those in special "asian" stores

I'm from the UK and literally every supermarket is like this! There's always a candy aisle, a soda aisle, a chips aisle, a bread aisle, etc. and ice cream often-times does come in big boxes and sometimes these stores even sell clothes and stationary too. It's not an exclusively American thing. I am so sorry for these people who shame American stores for doing literally the same thing that our UK stores do. I can't speak for every European country though, but I'm pretty sure a lot of countries have the same supermarket set-up as America. They're set up like that because that system (having an aisle for each type of product so you can easily find what you're looking for) works. It's just the most logical way to set up a large store or supermarket.
I also learned they're set up like this to trigger "impulse buying". As you're walking to the item you're looking for you're able to see the shelves clearly so you can go "oh I also want/need this" as you go to said destination

I think most foreigners fail to consider how big the US actually is. We have big cities where you have public transportation and corner grocery stores that are a dime a dozen offering less variety and size options but we also have big superstores. The superstores offer more size and variety to cater to people living within the city limits and people who live in more rural areas where there is no public transportation and quick stops at the store isn't feasible. I live about a 35-40 minute drive away from my local Walmart. It is an actual trip to go into town. My husband and I have 2 SUV's. I shop for groceries once a week for my family of 4. The larger items are what I normally buy because I want to get enough in one visit to last all week long and I don't have to go anywhere but home after work. I work 9 hour days. When you tack on the extra hour-hour and a half drive time, that is a 10-10 1/2 hour work day. Once I get home I have to cook, take care of and get my kids to bed, get my own shower, take care of a few chores and head to bed just to get up after 5-6 hours of sleep to do it all over again. My days are normally 17-19 hours long. Buying in bulk saves me time during my work week. I don't understand why this concept of convenience is so strange.
"the ramen isn't authentic" instant noodles: invented in japan and sold by japanese companies that do not advertise cup noodles or maruchan as having the same vibe as an authentic ramen shop but rather the very successful concept of "i have a 5 minute lunch break and i need to microwave a meal and eat it rapidly/i have come home from a 10 hour shift and need fast nutrients before i collapse" lmao. also the idea that anyone's thinking the best place to find ANY "authentic" asian food would be walmart. this person did a great job finding things to pretend to be bothered by for engagement. and hey it worked i'm actively engaging. history of instant noodles is a fun brief wikipedia rabbithole btw
There are brands that are Asian and due to the popularity of products in the US, have manufacturing here. Nongshim is a Korean company headquartered in Seoul, but has a CA plant.
Idk why but I feel like these people are all super privileged. It’s not an “ew American” thing it’s an “ew poor/middle class” but because they’ve never been to a middle class store in Europe (and America really doesn’t have that many “fancy” grocery stores) They’re assuming that all this random stuff they’re complaining about is only in America
I'm from Poland, and sure, we have the same things... But just the amount is different. In America you have a whole aisle of bread-Here, at least at the shops that I go to, you get just a few options. What I mean is-I'm surprised America has, for ex. An Aisle full of bread or soda's that seems to be long af-But it's not negative surprised, it's more-so "oh, wow, they have that? Cool." I think some Europeans are just ☠️ Dense sometimes, honestly.. But not everyone is like that, and I dislike the fact that we're suddenly being generalized as assholes because of those stupid tiktoks 💀
The egg thing makes since a bit, with farm fresh eggs that have never been refrigerated you can get away without putting them in the fridge just fine for a week or so. I've ate them like that plenty enough times and never have I once gotten sick
The hell? I just returned from grocery shopping in an average nordic hypermarket and the shelves look the exact same other than the brands. This is just mean for the sake of being mean.
I’ve traveled quite a bit and studied abroad in Asia and grocery stores are kinda the same everywhere. The main difference is the type of stuff they have rather than the category. Like a different selection of candy or pasta or something
I have a theory that this is more of a privilege thing than an “ew Americans” thing. I’m guessing that a lot of these people are privileged Europeans who only shop at “rich people grocery stores” and since the US doesn’t have many of those, they’re brains are making the false connection that only US grocery stores looks like this
