so the Andersen wallboxes first scrapped onboard ethernet and now also the RCD-A, but still kept the same price. That's scummy enough that /I/ wouldn't offer them to my customers anymore unless explicitly requested.

What I have learnt is Anderson Chargers are to be left alone on the shelf. Cutting corners with removing hardwired RJ45, no built in protection, and now apparently they make the installers jobs worse with wrong sized glands.

maybe the UK is unusual in they way they use SWA, i suspect Europe bury standard cable 600mm deep in conduits.

It's style over substance, and given the removal of wired Ethernet and removal of built-in RCD protection, it's even less substance than they used to have.

@@michielderomijn yeah he had it in auto focus and his camera couldn't handle some situation,, wouldn't expect him to film in manual mode.. as lads would get upset to do the same thing 3 times if he blur it..😆 Not sure what camera/lens he has,, i used to work with Sony A7 mark ii, that's a killer on focusing.. nowadays there is A7 iii and A9..

Andersen ... first they remove the Ethernet Port for no good reason, then they stop giving you the Type A RCD. And presumably the price hasn't reduced. Quality chargers, glad they charge so much.

Hermes are the worst delivery service ever, if you actually get your parcel then you best be putting the lottery on 🤣🤣. Last week they sent my parcel 2 streets away and threw it over the fence into someone’s back garden. Unbelievable

YODEL are the worst, drivers are liars, cheats and thieves, twice they said they delivered but didn't, got my money back from the company that I ordered from, they said it happens regularly. YODEL bunch of thieves.

I've noticed a lot of new build properties come with EV chargers but they don't have PEN fault protection or earth rods. How are they complying with the regs? Has anyone else come across this?

I think the BG board are really good quality. I don't now how they are sold so cheaply at screwfix etc. And that's exactly their down fall, the fact they are sold so cheap. Value for money you can't beat them no way no how

Great video. New cameraman/editor for part of it?? Because it was up there. Given the issues with deliveries is it worth you stocking a few Anderson/ Zappi units, and then just swap the cover plate when they come in. Also like to see you guys do a Solar install using the SolarEdge inverter+ charger units. Hope Ruibiin enjoyed the ice cream.

Probably a stupid question, but does the Anderson not need to have a pen fault detection device installed? Seen a few installs done that are not Zappi charge points but doesn't have a pen fault detection device which I thought was a requirement (looking at the installs Jordan does at home).

8:45 this. Delivery companys are unbearable these days. They play football with your packages, never deliver on time or "loose" them and treat their employees like slaves.

The kindergarten only let one out from playgroup at a time. Oscar's not been let out due to bad behaviour. Rewben's been on good behaviour 😂. Seriously though both these lads are an excellent attribute to the Aritisan team keep up the great work and content lads👍.

You would think someone who worked for Anderson would either watch these videos or hear from people who install their chargers and make the changes they have to. It’ll cost them if they don’t. They should be making their chargers better not worse!

14:01 I would like to have Cory's Artisan Angle Drilling card revoked! He is drilling downhill from outside! That is a no-no, it should be angled upward to prevent water from flowing into the hole and into the garage! Just saying, maybe it was caused by the pint that he had prior to the DPD delivery guy getting there so late! 🤷‍♂️🍺

This was a tough call 😭. I’m glad someone spotted it, usually drilling down hill is a sin. However I thought it the lesser evil of straining the cable round on itself up into the charger as both sides were sealed and the otherwise was a garage 😁. Can I keep my license?

Love the videos! Seems like you want to lower the gain control on the microphones a tad, always clipping. The transmitter’s normally have one as well as the camera end. :)

Hi - I've seen a lot of discussions going around regarding installation for single phase charger with O-PEN protection onto a 3 Phase system? Is this actually correct. Some say it shouldn't be done and others are saying yes it's fine. What are your guys approach to this. (ignore the fact of just installation a 3 phase zappi which will take 6 months to get anyway LOL). We had a job where it was 3 phase main DB, out to a 1PH sub DB in a garage which supply was good enough to add a 32 amp charger. Are we right just to add a charger to this single phase sub dB with O-PEN as the main supply is 3ph? What if you wanted to just add a single phase charger straight to a 3 phase board. Would really like to know your guys opinions.

We used to refer to said delivery company as Don't Plan on Delivery but there's been a huge improvement in the last 12 months, at least in our area.

Why not have the cable done and clipped and if you had a template even had the holes plugged ready for it arriving? I pulled a 6mm through the cavity already for mine to be fitted took a bit long but looks brilliant and with a wee bit of angle drilling ;)

I'm not. DPD has become utterly dreadful recently. They've let me down multiple times - pretending they came and nobody was there when they were, failing entirely to deliver with no information provided, and regularly missing the 1 hour window. They were rock solid until about 6 weeks ago. I'm in Devon so not even a localised issue it seems.

Never had a problem with DPD and their delivery. Always use the app to track the progress of your delivery.

@@Parkingpolice999 Sorry I that's what came to mind as I usually wear 3d trade. I also have a pair of the trousers he's wearing. Google Blaklader 1999 craftsmen trousers. They aren't cheap but they sure are comfortable.
