That voice literally came from another century. Amy’s voice is the voice of an angel descending down to earth to save us from listening to auto tune lmao
early 2000s is when auto tune really started to infest every fucking band and to this day we never recovered from this disease , im not saying she was but 2004 was not a good time nostalgia is giving you amnesia lol
I thought Amy achieved a brilliant vocal in the opening of this song. Being a music teacher i was very impressed not only by Amy's vocals but the bands backup ad well. Her beginning vocals set the haunting mood of the real feeling of this song. I thought it was brilliant, well done and one of the best songs on youtube period. The pop songs of today cannot touch a song like this that has so much feeling. I can relate to this song through my own struggles and am appreciative to the members of the band for making it. Thank you
What a time to be alive. Watching these mid 2000’s concerts brings back so much nostalgia it almost makes me shed a tear every-time. Knowing what I know now I wish I could go back and take in every single moment of those concerts. Times have sure changed haven’t they.
This song, and this band were so talented they actually started a worldwide culture. Emos were everywhere. This ain’t even my type of music but this song was like the global hype song at that particular time.
I saw Evanescence in 2004, and BY FAR BEST CONCERT. They're even better live. Seether was there too so they did Broken together. It was mind blowing. 20 years later still amazing and I went to Elton
How can you see into my eyes like open doors? Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb Without a soul my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold Until you find it there and lead it back home (Wake me up) Wake me up inside (I can't wake up) Wake me up inside (Save me) Call my name and save me from the dark (Wake me up) Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up) Before I come undone (Save me) Save me from the nothing I've become Now that I know what I'm without You can't just leave me Breathe into me and make me real Bring me to life (Wake me up) Wake me up inside (I can't wake up) Wake me up inside (Save me) Call my name and save me from the dark (Wake me up) Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up) Before I come undone (Save me) Save me from the nothing I've become Bring me to life (I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside) Bring me to life Frozen inside without your touch Without your love, darling Only you are the life among the dead All this time I can't believe I couldn't see Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems Got to open my eyes to everything Without a thought, without a voice, without a soul Don't let me die here There must be something more Bring me to life (Wake me up) Wake me up inside (I can't wake up) Wake me up inside (Save me) Call my name and save me from the dark (Wake me up) Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up) Before I come undone (Save me) Save me from the nothing I've become Bring me to life (I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside) Bring me to life
Who's watching in the year 3009? We brought this song to the Chromata Tindlebreighs of Arcturus VI. They decided we were a worthy consciousness, and were admitted to their protectorate; based on "These tones that prove we've traversed the deep and made of it beauty."
Give her a break!. Amy gives her heart and soul everywhere the band goes. Amy is one hell of a Rocker and even on her worst day she sounds more beautiful then any other Vocalist. Can you not hear the beauty in her that rises in that voice !
I never got to see Amy perform live as Evanescence, but I still tear up whenever I hear her voice; I remain extremely moved by her presence and respect her decisions to live her own I've with her husband and her son.
This make me miss the mid 2000’s so much. Watching these old concerts. Brings back so many good memories going to concerts. Slip knot. Disturbed. System of a Down. Linken park. I always wanted to see blind guardian live back in the day! Gosh what a time to be alive that was! Compared to all the drama and divide we have today!
Old concerts? I saw Freddie with Queen, Van Halen, original Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Page and Plant, Thin Lizzy just to name a few. I miss those days!
can people stfu commenting this on every video, i know what fucking year it is, people will always listen to this song because it's great regardless of what year we are in
This is one of my all time favorite songs. I'm 57 that list includes some epic hall of fame bands and songs. This Amy Lee has a voice up there with Ann Wilson from heart. It's a haunting sounding song. Guys vocols that no one seems to like are great - but really I could sing his part. She is incredible and band rocks!
Just WOW. Amazing performance! I listened to them as a teenager in the 2000s but have never seen this song live. The voice of the guy it's neat also, like in the record. I didnt remember this song was so awesome
Truly a siren, Everytime she sings its like your very soul was captivities by her and make you fall for her more and more. BTW hello 2020 while in quarantine.
The dude's voice sounds like it's about to crack every time he sings "Save meeee"...I know why I adore Linkin Park that's for sure :) Anyway enough hate solid performance awesome song :)
i agree.. even if i love her voice and songs, she's not that great live(even if she has improved over the years). i just don't think it's because she needs more training. i think it's mostly because she's always stressed and has stage fright... her voice is always cracking on live shows
She's a great singer. Most of her live performances sound like the studio versions if not better. Of course when she's running around on stage for hours singing she's going to get out of breath here and there. Listen to her acoustic performances they're beyond amazing.
