Thanks for the educational video. I watched it with subtitles, I hope Google translated everything correctly). I see that you are really interested in the history of Liverpool.

Thank you Jeff. Although my husband was Evertonian, knew about the lock up, you filled in historical detail about P. Rupert. This part of Liverpool is unfamiliar. I'm from Hunts Cross, Woolton area.

Yes, indeed, there are roadworks everywhere. It's largely due to companies making sure that they spend the budget for that year, otherwise, they lose out on the following year's budget. Great catch-up, Jeff. 👍

I've heard that's the reason. Money money money.

I got a bit lost at first untill we got to Breck Rd where the road works started. Once we arrived at Everton park I was lost , couldn't figure where about we was and then i spotted a few landmarks, I'll be honest I didn't know about the lock up. If i'm right I recall John Bagots Hospital stood where you walked and on the opposite side was the high rise flats and streets of terraced houses mixed with newer houses which again was all demolished thanks to Bessie Braddock the MP. Near the lock up I noticed a block of old 3 storey houses, If I'm not mistaken one or two of those hosues was a shelter for the homeless and the tramps and no front doors, also i remember an old college stood on the same side you was on, I'm going back 60 years so forgive if i'm wrong.

I'm a bit lost around there too. The College is still there a little further along the road.

Yes, it's in its own enclosure, but the gate is open.

Hello Jeff! Great videos! Thanks for showing us more of Liverpool and other unknown places (to a Chicago guy) I have always been interested in visiting Liverpool, it's a long fly from Chicago (my arms would be so tired😁) but your videos have broaden my interests more besides being a huge Beatles fan. Have you visited Ringo's home before him joining the band? Is it still there? Thanks for the sights!

If you get time to watch my video called The Welsh Streets Ringos childhood homes are both shown. And Peaky Blinders street is also on as well, if you've ever watched that series on TV.
