they are often criticised, but people don’t appreciate the great entertaining quick ball rugby the All blacks play… they are still an amazing team All blacks for life
2022 will be remembered as a dark year for the All Blacks, but there were moments of greatness. The win against the Boks at altitude, the annihilation of Argentina.
And some may say the worst year ever, we may have lost the Test series to Ireland 2-1 but on aggregate, they didn't out score us and they weren't dominated, we then lost the first 2 games in the the Championship 4 losses in a row has never happened & sunk to 5th in the rankings, a new low and we saw panic station on, calling for heads to roll, the ugly side to losing. They dug deep took one game at a time and won their return matches with Argentina & South Africa by a bigger scoreline on aggregate, then accounted to Australia 2 nil with a very tense come from behind, 1st game, and easy last game. Won the Trophies and the 2022 Championship. Then beat Japan in a narrow victory, accounted for Wales, Scotland and a disappointing draw to England 25 all, to finish ranked 3rd. in the world. So as bad as the start to the season was they bounced back. Good on them.
@@peterhunter6040 who won Player of the AB's v Ireland Series? Who was European club player or the year as well as URC player of the year, who beat SA, Aus, NZ (3 TIMES) Eng... in the calendar year... Was the worlds leading flanker in tackles, meters gains and line breaks and min played... BECAUSE I kind of think that warrants "close" but hey some people see what they want tell me how many times did Ardie have to clap off players in 2022? Bet it was more than Josh 🤣🤣🤣
@@joelyons886 you’re acting as if JVDF single handedly beat those teams & New Zealand; Furlong, Sexton, Dorris, Omahoney etc were sensational all year, playing just as well if not better than Josh. Ardie savea trumps JVDF in: line breaks, metres gained, carries, defenders beaten, passes, try’s, try assists, turnovers won(ultimate rugby & rugby pass statistics) - BY FAR the best player on the all blacks and probably the sole reason they didn’t have a negative record this year. JVDF out dos ardie savea on tackling. Josh basically won the award for being a consistently decent player on a winning team. Ardie Savea should’ve won by a few thousand miles
Look if Rugby gets popular world wide it will be the end of the all blacks because countries with much bigger populations will get better and it will NZ propping up the table along with other smaller nations.
