i think the minimal intonation makes it seem like zero punctuation. it would be a lot better if he sounded a bit more interested in the game to reflect how much he actually does care about this. no point pretending to be too cool for AoS when the script you're reading is 120% nerd.
The Flesh Eater Courts being Bretonnians are at best what the Undead in Mousillon think they are. I want real surviving Bretonnians in the Cities of Sigmar. That'd make me build a second army, possibly a third xD It feels stupid to make the Cities of Sigmar such a nice melting pot and purposefully leave Bretonnia out of it. Just my two cents. Still love the game. Would buy more if I had Bretonnians to buy...
I've just started again after 20 years, I've got a seraphon army, stormcast army, one mate has Nighthaunt, another has orrucks, and one more friend wants to join. I want that warhammer league between my mates
@@IsaacCoverstone Haha, very true. I have TW:WH 1 & 2 with every additional DLC. It's such a great game. Can't wait to hear about the third instalment.
@@1IGG It's basically a way to keep playing with your old Fantasy minis. A lot of the new factions with newer models are interesting enough nowadays to be worth a try though.
The single best thing about this is you take the time to give a small piece of lore about all the factions aswell. Lore and looks are generally what people are attracted to first, the way are army plays is then what locks someone into playing with it. Really great video mate.
Is there any equivalent to a digital version of this game ? It looks really fun but it seems crazy to not only have to find people to play with but also find room for all the models
@@krisv1038 My friend who is getting me into AoS/40K told me about a game/sim on Steam that (I believe with Mods) allows you to try out & play most, if not all the armies. I'm currently blanking on the name but could let you know once I ask him?
mjamesh will say to expect a serious decline in TTS soon as Covid is dealt with worldwide. It’s only picked up and actually had an AOS mod made because of Covid. The vast majority of the community do not use it.
So having checked Bricky's channel, the closest thing I can find is every single 40k faction videos that are both almost an hour long, and the exact opposite of what my comment was about.
@@josephmahar8809 clearly you haven’t watched the videos themselves then, as there are no charts to be seen and they’re absolutely hilarious. So no, they aren’t exactly what you were talking about.
@@shizmanbeat Sounds like you're pretty pissed off when you don't have the right. Pay attention, keep up and stop being mad people are enjoying themselves
@@shizmanbeat You don't listen and obviously the channel is not for you. It's 30 !! armies in 16 minutes. He also has a 20 min follow up video that answers questions. Also, his deep dives are among the BEST out there.
My planned battleline for my 2k list early next year will be literally 18 Squigs and 20 Grots. The rest of the list is elites and heroes as well, but the Gitz get so many units per point it's hardly important. Zarbag's Gitz helps cover a bit of the hole in the frontline as well since they come with another Netter plus a Fanatic. 78 furious models with 173 total wounds and a good amount of 4+ saves, plus some -1 hit auras and strong FNPs on the mages as well as the Troggoths. Good magic, a couple very good endless spells, drown in CP generation and plenty of mobility for the Squig portion of the army. The only caveats are their Bravery meaning that they need to wait to generate CPs for Inspiring Presence and that they need to play to 1/4 of the board early on as that's likely where the Bad Moon (their buff aura) is going to be. Basically, the list will be mostly tucked into a corner at the start of the game haha.
I should mention that Bonesplitterz has a pretty nice defense build as well. And also: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tA3NQYyf-qs.html for the followup Q&A
Correct, an all resin forgeworld-only pdf army is very much not something I would bring up for a new player's first army. It'll be in the followup show.
@@anubis1112 Yes! magnetize the bases of the models, and use a metal sheet (or army carrying case with metal racks) - infinitely better and safer for transporting than foam
Thank you so much, its so good to finally see something other than painting and battle reports for aos. I've been wondering about a few armies, but there weren't any resources
Super great video! This actually got my partner and I into AoS (They're on Nighthaunt, I'm on Tzeentch) so thanks so much for that. Especially because they hated 40k and I resigned myself to never playing mini war games with them, but the aesthetic of AoS totally pulled them in and then your video helped them narrow it down. So big thanks, hope to see more beginner focused content from this channel, as well as other stuff.
The pace of this video is so balls to the wall I had to watch it a 75% speed for my smooth brain to retain any of it. Got there on the third viewing though. Solid rundown for new players, shame my wet elves are stuck with eels though.
As a prospective new player, this is a great video! It's very informative, and the dry humor definitely elevates it. Gotta say, Ogors, Iron Jawz, or Flesh Eaters all the way!
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Great primer for the uninitiated such as myself and the writing cracked me up real good more than once. Keep up the good work!
This is awesome! I've played AoS since launch but there's so much to keep up with that it's great having something like this that breaks it down so succintly.
Man this is a great video! The perfect mix of simple overview and detailed explanation. I picked a new army a few months back and I wish I had seen this before hand (though I'm still happy with my Maggotkin choice)
I watched a lot of your videos when I was first considering getting into Age of Sigmar (Warhammer in general, really) and loved them. I haven't bought any new models since January and was thinking about choosing a different faction. Your videos are always so well done and helpful. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for making this. I've got a lot of old fantasy stuff lying around and was thinking of maybe getting some AOS. it all just sounds more like 40k
This will help when I eventually get into AoS. I've got some Vampire Counts lying around from years ago, so naturally I'll go with Legions of Nagash first, but man, I want to play like 70% of the armies!
I’ve never watched a single video about a war game in my life. This is my first, and my brain just about exploded. The mechanics, the models, the paint jobs. That was a lot to take in. Thanks for the great video.
Neat, I'm still just as unwittingly attracted to the underdog armies now as I was when the "Movement Phase" section of the rulebook took up twenty pages by itself. Some things never change.
I've never played the tabletop game but love these videos for the sheer imagination and artistry of the models. The Seraphon are great for that 80's Dino Rider nostalgia. And damn, is 6:34 combining an iron maiden with a wicker man? Nasty.
I just bought a starter set waiting on a couple other things to come in so I can start building my models. Can’t wait to play this game been watching videos for 2 weeks lol
Really cool video , Ive bought my first box of Stormcast Eternals, gonna paint them as Anvils of the Heldenhammer (was choosing between them and Fyrleslayers) Keep up the good work! +subbed
