It's weird how subdued everything was back then. The acting, writing, animation, even the characterization was more grounded. It's kinda refreshing, in a sense.
They were much better in my opinion, they sound more natural too and not just characters saying jokes to the audience. The humor then came more from the absurdity of the situations and less referential and condescending.
0:03 Frank is the best character ever, he had one line in one line in one episode and died seconds later and was never seen again. Nobody, not even the creator remembers him, but I always will.
@@AWSOMzombie I believe so because every universe is the exact same as the previous one except at the point they jumped at (except for the people who jumped, they died in that universe so they can reintegrate easier).
I kinda forgot how legitimately stupid Morty was. He's really come a long way. I don't know if he's genuinely gotten smarter, but he says things with more confidence.
@@PastelPinkChaos Causing apocalypse, genociding ailen species, partaking in the enslavement of the microverse.. tough stuff. No human who ever lived IRL had that much on his shoulders.
@@attilaseyfullah8522 Yeah but, this is a cartoon about a interdimensional grandpa that takes his grandson on questionable adventures so, don't think too much about how that affects the real world
I swear nothing beats classic Rick and Morty season 1 and 2. There’s some good episodes later, but nothing really comes close to the cleverness and story of the first 2 seasons before the writers tried too hard to be meta
I miss this version of the series so bad. It was so simple, so tame, and so perfect in every sense of the word. Now I can’t even tell if the series I’m watching will ever reach the stark peak brilliance that Seasons 1-Early Season 3 had.
"While everything you've known becomes impossible to grasp." "Also every 10 seconds it stabs your balls." My favorite line in season 1. Maybe in R&M history.
Kinda creepy that you watched this random dude watch Rick & Morty season 1, probably without his knowledge, which you must have since you seem to know what he did or did not laugh at.
@@Maltesfilm Hello, I am dateline's Han Hansen. I'm not who you were expecting, huh? You were expecting to stare through this young youtuber's window all night weren't you?
YOU CUT OUT THE BEST PART WHEN MORTY SHOOTS THE BUG AND IT STARTS BLEEDING AND MORTY CRIES THAT ITS NOT A ROBOT!!! AFTER RICK SAYS "its a figure of speech, morty!" HE SAYS "theyre bureaucrats, i dont respect them!"
The thing about the pluto dilemma is that pluto still orbits the sun so it should be included in a model of the solar system even if it isn’t technically a planet. I know that would cause a lot of complications, however, so i still think morty is right
Yeah but there’s plenty of other objects that also orbit the sun that are the same size or larger than pluto and also spherical. If pluto is a planet, then there would have to be dozens of more planets to consider
Season 1 & 2 of RnM was truly something special. The writing and character development was a lot more subdued and sensible. Now it's like the show has become a shallow parody of itself
I've always loved the fact that morty has a "Gigantor" toy robot above the headboard in his room. I am sure it's Roiland & Harmon's way of paying homage to one of the original anime TV shows to air in the US. It's little details like this which make me love this show so much!
