I was surprised that the Deadpool stage was the focus of this video. It gives off the vibe that if anyone lost the match set, the feeling of impending doom is given here. I like the mk11 version a lot, and it shows that it has changed a lot since mk2. The ps2 era for shang tsung's temple is another too. This was another great video by you as always! ^_^

I lie you not, the very first time I saw the Dead Pool, I thought it as just a dirty, stagnant water pool... and the first time I played a beta version that still didn't have the stage fatalities... when we played the final version and saw what it was, wow... a pool made of acid.

Great video on one of my favorite stages in MK. I have tons of nostalgia for this one. Loved learning how this stage evolved over time. Bring back Chess Kombat😭

I've played most of the MK games, and while I think they're mostly dumb trashy fun, I do think the lore and worldbuilding are genuinely fascinating. I love that they're willing to make bizarre changes to the characters, like when Reptile was a full-on spiny lizard man, or when Liu Kang was a zombie. Highlighting one recurring stage like this really shows how they always add an interesting twist to their callbacks.

Another awesome vid. MK has plenty more iconic stages, such as the Pit, the Courtyard and Living Forest. My fav stages are Shao Khan's stage in MK2, "Elder God" from MK4 and all the real world stages in MK 3, especially the Roof, where you can clearly see the Chrysler Building in the background

i might be one of the few but i always loved this stage growing up with my sisters. i played mileena and i learned how to do the fatality long ago. i used to troll my friends when i played them lol. i came from shockbrawler's channel and im so glad that you gave this stage a lot of love and i never knew about those stages from the playstation 2 😮

coming from shockbrawler's recommendation this video is very detailed on this stage. its great to see mortal kombat get representation lately and the deadpool isnt my favorite stage of the series but its long history has gone through alot

Awesome video! Keep these videos going. We love them! Growing up always thought this stage was specifically for Reptile. The area is filled with green acid, Reptile spits green acid as a special attack, and even vomits acid on you as a finishing move in UMK3 and MKT. I didn't know this stage was for Shang Tsung. I hope you cover the subway stage in the future.

First and Foremost, in MK Deception, and apologies for the rude interruption, its called Death Traps, and that only came in Deception as you mentioned and in Armageddon. From MKII till MK11 (excluding Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon and the non-canon MKvsDCU) and hopefully, they forever were remained as Stage Fatalities. There's a world of difference, just to let you know. Anyhow, Outstanding video btw.

I never thought I would need a retrospective on the Deadpool stage from MK, so glad this was made!

I never really knew about the hidden stage fatality sound because I never was able to due the stage fatal so much because unlike MK1, you need a special input to do it instead of the regular uppercut input. On a side note, I found you thanks to the tabmok RU-vid video about this topic and decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. Got yourself a new sub.

What you hear in the MK2 stage fatality is "foul ball." It's apparently from a Midway baseball game, or it may have been recorded just for that. But a foul ball in baseball is when the ball is hit outside of the playing field, much like how knocking someone into the background would be hitting them outside of the regular playing field.

its interesting to see how much the deadpool stages have changed and advanced over the years. this was a nice stage comparison and analysis.

I love Mortal Kombat and one of my favorite stages well in fact I love Outworld stages from MKll which is my favorite and I’m so glad we were able to explore those stages of Outworld in Shaolin Monks my other favorite game in the franchise I do much prefer the simplicity of the original Deadpool it feels a little too over the top in the modern takes and while the series in nature is over the top I more did dig the eerie feel of the original looks of the stages in the older games but it’s still awesome the stages come back from time to time so I am glad about that. Another stage that’s amazing to me as well would be the Wasteland it’s what’s left of Kitana’s home after Shao Kahn destroyed it I did like that the stage had a tie with a character and a little bit of a background to it.

They got less spectacular as myself and the games got older but those original few were just so cool...I HATED that they made the stage fatalities a button combo as opposed to a regular uppercut after MK1. seriously that made me so angry. I just want to be able to uppercut a dude off the bridge
