I chatted to a girl when doing Paris marathon and she said her home town Cologne marathon is brilliant fun (bands, beer, support), I think Ellie would enjoy it!

I did Eindhoven last year. Highly recommended. In general Marathons in the Netherlands is a must if you look for fast flat courses.

Having run Eindhoven marathon last year i can definitely recommend it. Nice flat course, lots of crowd support and weather in october is usually perfect for running. Also Eindhoven has it's own airport but getting to Eindhoven from Amsterdam/Schiphol airport is also very easy/quick. I'm planning of running the half marathon there as a tune up race for Valencia

Frankfurt is a really nice and flat one with some top elites and good crowds :) ! Second biggest in Germany after Berlin

I ran my first Marathon this last Sunday in Copenhagen and boy was it a blast. Didn't manage to meet and great you though ;(. In October there is also the Graz Marathon, Austria's second largest city :)

I usually run 🏃‍♂️ 5k races as an amateur and have noticed my time improving when I did no training just complete rest for 3 or 4 days before a race .. its only a short distance but it works for me, now I'm considering a 10k this summer...

Hi Ben - how would you recommend refueling electrolytes during a marathon? I also ran Copenhagen and everything okay till 29-30k. Then i got some bad cramps, which made the last k's very challenging.

Pastries are not carbohydrates, they have too much fats, and not the good ones. You should get a nutritionist cause you have plenty room for improvement there.

@@laurenmillyx first read the caption. Pastries are empty calories and should not be eaten before an important event. As a “dietitian” you should have known that. No matter if one likes them or not. Before a marathon race the focus is on quality carbs and some protein. A good dietitian knows that and the formula is also very simple.
