I use the Anchor Lås 830-3 (pronounced "laws") with an ASSA D12 oval core for my motorcycle. Some punks tried to cut it one night but only managed to make laughably small scratches on the shackle! Love it! Have three different Anchor Lås padlocks.
My wife just laughed at me sweetly, like i was a dork, cause i said "wow.....thats a bada$$ padlock" haha. Its the coolest padlock ive ever seen though. Hands down........... and no I'm not trying to comment on every video, i just keep finding myself with stuff that NEEDS to be shared. Haha
LOL... My wife laughs at me like that every day. Seriously, she's a saint to put up with me. Seriously though, please comment away! I love the comradire of locksport. If you ever start picking on cam, I'm sure I'll be commenting on all your videos too :)
Right on! I appreciate it. And with as much as i enjoy the sport, and watching, im thinking it may be inevitable. Ill have to start making vids at some point im sure.
tumbl3r Aliah Mick I Have the same problem but with my Mum she keeps saying OH NO not another Lock 🔐 and that where I Store them in my house in workshop that they are going to go through the floor which is kind of a possibility. HA HA HA Keep up the great work Guys. Nick.
Great. I done the same with my KABA padlock. I put my d12 ruko in. It the little piece that srews in the back of the core that makes it possible to put any oval in the body of the lock. And to answer your other questions about safe locks. Any time. And I answer it. For you. No drill points tho.lol. Thanks.
Nice lil video thanks! Not many Anchor Las vids about on RU-vid either! Accepting Scandinavian Oval cylinders is great as you can swap em out very easily with quite a wide and easily available range of locks. I'd buy a very good one for that quality padlock, you already have with that quality-assured Assa-Abloy twin combi, quite a secure set up + a great "paddition" to your collection! I have top-end Abus, Abloy, Squire but no Anchor Las😢 Dormakaba is also another great padlock to watch out for.😎👍
awesome!! that's all I could find that would fit an oval too. problem for me is it's a little outta league price wise but it is def nice and I'm certainly jealous lol enjoy
Wow!! What a Padlock. That is not a grade 4 lock anymore with that core. lol Congrats on finding such a cool padlock. Never even heard of one that took a oval core. Just WOW. lol flabbergasted! Oh and a quick answer to the question via email... Only 2 locks with the dials.😧 But they are nice dials though.
Steel Pinnings Tumbl3r Just a quick one. Bill & Adrian Weber has an Abus 83/80 Rock that also Accept Scandinavian Cylinders I would love to get one. See what you Guys think they might be easier to get hold of in the US...! Nick.
I was actually hunting for one of those when I found this. They seem pretty difficult to get ahold of in the US, but fairly common in Europe. It's always nice to have some trusting relationships with the folks across the pond... We can get them American and Medeco, and they can help us out with things like this. Anyhow, I had no luck finding one of those 83/80's stateside.
Their shipping is really quite a problem. My order from then was only this lock along with a few Twin mortise cylinders and the cheapest shipping was over $20.00! The things I ordered could have easily fit into a USPS flat rate box for six bucks and change. It seems like they are actively trying to discourage us "amateurs" from shopping with them.
Yeah by the end I was just trying to get them to admit there was a problem. They made it seem like everything was my fault. I paid exrta for 2day delivery but I didn't let them know I was serious. Then FedEx was telling me I should've explained my address better because my town shares a zip code. I guess FedEx has never been to my town before.
Killer video! That my friend is a BAD ASS(A) padlock. I'm not sure I've seen a padlock that accepts a Scandinavian cylinder.. Where did you find the Anchor Las?
I bought it from Security Snobs. I'd never seen a padlock that accepts these cores either, so I thought it would be worth making a video. The knowledge would have helped me, so I figure this might help out someone else.
This one came coreless. I don't even think I had the option to add a core. This padlock with a Ruko sounds like a mean combination... Would love to see it when you get it put together.
I am ordering one of these Anchor Las padlocks from SecuritySnobs. Someone will be shipping me a new level 2 ASSA D12 that will go in this nice padlock. I was trying to find a padlock that will fit my European oval ASSA. It would be a shame to have a cylinder and nothing to use it with. This padlock will work for me.
