Lois was actually not too far when she was drowning, so that's reasonable. What isn't is that he can hear someone in Africa put a gun to her head while he's in Metropolis but can't hear his mother getting kidnapped.

Fun fact - kryptonite was first introduced in a Superman radio serial. The voice actor wanted to take a vacation but the show was produced live. So they came up with the idea for a substance that weakened Superman so a different actor could do the voice. About 6 years later, kryptonite debuted in the comics.

And ever since then people have completely ignored the fact that ANY kryptonite being on planet Earth that wasn't specifically brought there by way of a space ship would be 100% impossible. A planet several star systems away that explodes is NOT going to have any actual debris make it to Earth, and even if by some miracle any of that exploded planet did happen to fly off on exactly the right trajectory, the speed it would be moving at would mean it wouldn't hit the Earth for thousands of years. Long story short; kryptonite is bullshit, and it's always been bullshit.

Good thing Superman's mother wasn't named something like Philomena or Iphigenia, or he would likely be dead. Then again, it is even more lucky Batman strangely thinks "Martha" is an unusual name. And lucky for both neither refers to their mother as "mom" or "mother", as that would have screwed everything up.

It is odd superman refers to his mother as Martha but the point wasn't solely our moms have the same name, up until this point Batman had seen Superman as just an alien destroying cities and killing thousands, the fact that he has a mother who's about to die is something Batman can relate to.

Actually, Clark prioritized always being able to hear Lois. That's how he knew to show up in the desert. It's shown in Man of Steel he focused on always being able to hear his mother and how he knew Zod was threatening her. Now it should be a sin that he can't focus on two people since he's essentially suppressing the rest of the world.

I always hated how no one explained how the bat cave was made. Only exception is Christopher Nolan's version because Fox's basement level with his inventions was pushed away then used by Bruce but he still had an actual cave so who knows.

Joshua Galloway so better than Wakanda because it makes sense in the universe (where cities like Metropolis and Gotham exist) and doesn’t defy all understanding. Why isn’t Wakanda well known to everyone? Either they’ve been killing/imprisoning everyone who stumbled upon it over the entire course of human history, or it’s magic. It’s in an African desert, not a rainforest, and it’s far to technologically advanced to be sufficiently independent from needing imports to not be a well known place.

retsaM innavoiG that’s a whole lot of “it’s vibranium okay!” For me, but honestly I don’t care about the impossibilities of a material like vibranium (like how it’s perfect for electronics AND weaponry AND armor and more which all requires different levels of ductilibility, conductivity, and malleability The point is that Wakanda makes as much sense as if South Korea suddenly ceased exporting computer technology in favor of returning to an agricultural feudal society Not to mention the difficulties in achieving anything technologically advanced when tribal-esque society is the only existing society. Innovation requires variation and tribal societies subsist on unity and zealotry. Actually, that’s not entirely true, unified and zealot societies can achieve a great deal in terms of technological advancements, most notably the Nazis during WWII. Wakanda makes as much sense as a kid getting bit by a spider and developing super reflexes and sticky fingers

At 9:30 Bruce states that" If we believe that there is even a 1% chance that he is our enemy then we have to take it as an absolute certainty." to which you responded, "Math is not one of Bruce's strong suits." Actually, he is correct. If an outcome has a possibility of occurring over an interval (years, months, weeks, days, hours) then the likelihood of that outcome increases over time. Imagine tossing a ball back and forth to a friend, if the outcome of one of you not catching (dropping the ball) exists as a 1% likelihood, over time that likelihood increases, and with sufficient time becomes inevitable.

No, actually it remains 1% the entire time. You just committed what is known as the Gambler's Fallacy. If the chance is 1% it is 1% every time, all the time, never any greater. Each toss is independent and has the same percentage. At 100 tosses, still 1%. That is what 1% probability means.

However, it's a poor metaphor for how humans (or a superhuman) would respond to an infinite variety of inputs over time. For example, while powerful, Superman can experience fatigue, both mental and physical, as well as anguish, regret, sadness, etc., and he could conceivably explore alternate paths toward his objective of world peace when met with repeated failure. Simply put, throughout a lifetime, sentient beings don't make the same decisions under the same circumstances at all times, and our choices are informed by past experience, as opposed to a roll of dice where there are a prescribed set of possible outcomes (which is where you're getting your constant).

@@MyMagnificentOctopus There was no fixed probability. There was only a minimal (arbitrary) threshold of 1%. But the point was intended to suggest the likelihood wasn't 0. Second, because the probability wasn't 0, that means that with time and experience as factors, there is an increased likelihood of a negative outcome. It's not a fixed set of probable, independent results like a roll of the dice (Gamblers Fallacy). You're right about the time the day-to-day time interval. It could be second-to-second or whatever time frame a superbeing would use to evaluate and assess the objectives of their efforts relative to the reality on the ground. Also, we don't have an infinite time horizon, only the lifetime of the superbeing in question and the lifetime of the human species. The last assumption would be that the superbeing wouldn't operate within a behavioral loop, correcting each successive failure.

Its like saying, for a man who can travel faster than a speeding bullet and fights crime, he has no interest in traveling a mile to help out a city next door that is known for having way more crime than Metropolis ever did.

Props for giving Batman's brief fight scene some credit. Best part of the movie by far. And while adding a sin for Superman not throwing the spear is fair, I thought that should have been Wonder Woman's role. The one thing she has over Superman is no weakness to kryptonite; her taking up the spear would have shown functional teamwork and given her a reason to be there. That missed opportunity is worth at least five sins, I think.

The problem however, is that if Superman had said any other name but Martha, Batman would have killed him without hesitation, which he was actually going to do if Lois didn’t arrive just in time to tell him that Martha is the name of Superman’s mother.

What? Bruce didn't know Clark's identity, and even if he did, you can't chalk it up to, "Batman is the world's greatest detective, duh" because that's simply bad story-telling. Relying on that fact to make you believe in those logical gaps in the story doesn't allow for a coherent and believable plot. By the way, Batman got duped pretty hard in this film anyway, so he was in no way a good detective in this film. Everything he finds out about Superman and by extension, virtually everything he does in this film, aside from within the third act, was all deliberately planned by Luthor; batman just fell right into his trap the whole way through.

Stop fucking saying "They should've judged by the ultimate edition". NO. The studio decided to cut those parts out of the movie for some reason. The original, full movie, as it came out in theaters, when you went to see it and payed money for it, wasn't the ultimate edition. You shouldn't have to pay extra money just to add material to the movie in order for it to make sense.

The "original, full movie" is the Ultimate Edition in this case, precisely because theater chain owners demand shorter runtimes for big blockbuster films to maximize showings and profits. The studios follow suit as it benefits their profits as well. Batman v Superman was a case of the original cut being trimmed and haphazardly edited, not a case of the final cut as decided by the filmmaker throwing in more scenes as a home video bonus.

Rather than Supe flying away, the B vs. S fight should have happened right then and there. Let them settle their differences earlier in the film (like Ironman vs Thor vs Cap scene in Avengers) and then have Lex and Doomsday pop up. Watched this movie (theatrical version) for the first time today. What im surprised that didnt get sinned was the chase of the kryptonium and batman taking basically the entire back off of the truck and the tracker surviving. I saw that and said "after all that and the tracker is still attached? Come on".

So I actually work in Arlington cemetery. While this DOESNT take place there, they correctly got the uniform and sequence correct and it is literally the ONLY time I’ve ever seen it depicted correctly in movies. FYI they used the army for this. Idk why they did, but none the less they got it right and I’m not gonna lie I was super hyped to see us accurately depicted for once. It’s like movie directors never once looked up army ceremonial uniforms.

Introducing Doomsday in only the _second_ film in the DCEU is _way_ too early and should've been done further down the road for the films. Also, the villain should've been Metallo. Lex Luthor wants Superman dead because he's "too powerful", so when Batman fails to kill him, he creates Doomsday, who's like five times stronger than Superman. That makes no sense. Wouldn't it have made more sense if Luthor relied more on a human in a weaponized suit instead of making something even more powerful than Superman? The guy in the wheelchair-- hates Superman with a flaming passion, goes so far to team up with Lex Luthor to take him down? He'd become Metallo. Metallo would go mad with power, thus forcing Superman and Batman (and WW of course) to form an alliance of convenience, but this movie insists on going all the way just for the sake of cramming so much stuff, so it would catch up with Marvel.

Really enjoy watching these and I appreciate their hard to do but you have made at least 2 mistakes (due to I presume your not understanding concepts or missing scenes or something) in each one I have watched so far! Still enjoyable to watch thou, to be honest I usually ditch any videos with mistakes like those but yours are still entertaining so I wouldn't sweat about it haha 👍👌👍

8:00 Never mind how neatly arranged the can, pan, lid, and brush are... only thing missing are the drop cloth and masking tape, to keep it off the chimney and roof vents. Stuck on a roof in a flood, with a can of paint; I'm dumping that can out as quickly as possible in the shape of SOS or HELP, not trying to make an accurate representation of the symbol on his chest.

There's so much unnecessary BS in this movie. Take out all the dream sequence crap, Justice League set up, Wonder Woman, and Doomsday. Make Lex completely different and focus the film on simply what is in the title: Batman V Superman.

Actually, like with Gotham and Metropolis, they made up Nairomi. Since it's just fiction, they could have made it a country in Africa; it doesn't have to be a city/county/whatever.
