I love when CinemasSins points out something which has always bothered me in a movie. It is ridiculous that the grandparents would stay with them for at least two weeks. Especially since it means one set of grandparents has to sleep in bunkbeds and Audrey and Russ have to sleep in the same bed.

I have to watch this every year, this is a classic, this gets funnier every year, love the cast. Randy Quaid was a comedic genius in this movie, his comedic timing was perfect and Chevy Chase as the straight man who goes a little psycho was great too. "The Shitter was Full" with Randy smoking a cigar was hilarous. I also loved when Rusty showed up at the counter of the store and Chevy's reaction.

I love the ends of these, when a one-second audio clip can make you laugh out loud because you know where it’s from and you immediately get the context. 15:44 was one of those for me.

They filmed some of this movie in Colorado, hence the scenes in the mountains. Why they decided to do that when the movie took place in Chicago is anyone's guess.

So...id seen this movie before but went to spend Christmas one year at my parents house with my wife and daughters. When Clark is stiffed on his bonus...and the rant happens...im enjoying it and as he cocludes my mother turns to me and says..."oh honey, he's you." My wife next to me laughs hysterically..my mother laughs...my dad points at me giggling...my oldest daughter..kn the floor in front of tge tv turns...sees it all and asks "Really?". Im taken aback but helpless. And a good time was had by all. It was a damn good Christmas.

I like to imagine Santa's good list is actually extremely short and also is why he so easily can cover it in a single night. Santa is hardcore strict and most kids are naughty so most kids don't get visited because they're little bastards.

14:13 They wouldn't need one. She just inadvertently gave them permission to enter. They knocked, she yelled in a confrontational way, antagonizing the cops when clearly they believed they had a reason to be there and then stated the conditions for their entry. It's a great lesson in do not tell people to enter your home if you don't know who TF is knocking
