It's weird how video game movies often don't turn out well, despite how many video games have better storylines than most movies.

My college had an advanced DVD screening of this movie. Even though I paid nothing to see it I felt like they owed me a refund.

This movie actually has a brilliant concept and a very good talented director behind the project, everything changed when Adam Sandler came on board as a producer and stars in it

i actually loved this movie 5 years ago because i didn't realize all of the plot holes and even after knowing the corrupted storyline i still love it

We even painted a huge pixelated mural inside our office with "highscores" of the operators who had the most flight hours. If nothing else this proves that the military is also full of nerdy gamers. Well, and children. We were gonna be Bad Dragon but our platoon leaders vetoed it because it was "inappropriate" or something.

When you realize it's based on the movie Pixels, but RU-vid thinks it's Ghostbusters so they put the "Buy or Rent" Ad for it. +1 Sin.

You know, when I first saw this movie there was a part in it that really got to me. It was when Adam Sandler and that kid are talking about modern games or whatever, and Adam's all like, "What do you do if you mess up?" And the kid says, "There's a reset button." Adam then has the AUDACITY to say "We didn't have those when I was a kid." Ummm, what?! The first reset button for a game system was on the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972, A DECADE before the beginning of the movie takes place! In fact, every mainstream console from the Atari 2600 to the Gamecube had a reset button on it! Not only that, but the kid's wrong, too! I'm pretty sure there isn't a reset button on the PS4! So, all in all, this movie sucks, and I hate it.

They took wreck-it-ralph, put it in reverse, added Adam Sandler, took out all of the funny jokes, and added sexual jokes, some shit and cringing. And that's how you make Pixels the movie! ~👍

You forgot the parts where they basically say you cant make a career out of playing video games. That's what tore me up the most.

The sad thing is that Adam Sandler can act, and most likely can write some really good stuff, but as mentioned before, why should he? He's getting stacks and stacks of cash to make easy written shit that will make a profit and bomb in the ratings. While his style is 'love it or hate it', films like Happy GIlmore prove he can write and act in some good stuff that can make for entertaining films. But for every Happy Gilmore, Waterboy and Punch-Drunk Love he's in a Grown Ups, Jack and Jill and this. An unpopular opinion, but I personally really like You Don't Mess With The Zohan, the style of comedy is entertaining for me, but films like this have no entertainment value at all. It's clear to see that he can get money for anything, hell, he's penning a fucking Grown Ups 3! Grown Ups 1 and 2 didn't get over 10% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, yet earned 358 million over their 80 million each production cost. So because he wrote two films that made 358 million dollars, he's getting the funding for another one, which will most likely make the same amount!

Another sin: When the army man got beamed by the Boss Galaga, he didn't go all the way to outer space and die, just like in the original Galaga game

I know that this is very late but the short guy that cheats in Donkey Kong is based off a real person who was known as the best Donkey Kong player for his high score but when another person beat his score he convinced the officials to "prove" it was fake when it wasn't and when he beat the high score in person it counted. Billy Mitchel is the guy who then cheated to get his record back.
