So when me, my dad, and uncle went to see this in theaters, when Cipher hands Dom the phone showing Elana captured, we all thought Cipher kidnapped Mia, Brian and the kids and were holding the hostage, and figured that be a neat way to end Brian's story, him going out defending Mia and his son, needless to say we were disappointed with what ended up happening

Remember that this franchise started as a movie about a young cop who infiltrates a gang that is using their driving skills to hijack trucks. While undercover, the cop becomes sympathetic towards the gang and falls in love with the gang leader's sister. It ends with the cop disobeying orders by allowing the gang leader to escape, choosing friendship over duty. Seven movies later, it's now about a spec ops team comprised of (former) criminals who continuously save the world by driving real fast in cars.

I hope in fast nine they go to the mars with modified space lamborghinis.

Love how he didnt even address how the scene where dom pushes the missile truck around makes no sense. The missile truck is in front of the enemy cars but a second later its somehow 100 meters behind the enemy cars.
