Hi Jaya! I love watching your video's! You are a true artist! I have a question......do you suggest sealing your design after with sugar lemon juice after it has been applied to keep it in place for the several hours needed for dark stain? I know many folks seal there's several different ways and I was just wondering if you seal yours after application. Just love your video's and your calming spirit!
Hey girl! Thank you so much for you kind words! They mean the world to me! But yes, the sealant is very helpful in ensuring dark stains OR you could add more sugar so the paste sticks ever better but then the paste can get a little unpredictable if you add too much so a sealant is the perfect solution especially if you are doing a larger design or doing a design in an area that doesn't stain quite as well such as the upper arm and chest. If you do henna there you definitely want the paste to stay on as long as possible and the sealant is great for that!
Something VERY VERY interesting..... in my vineyard days there's a grape variety NOT common, called Red Ruby. Those grapes stained my fingers FOR DAYS, no kinda of hand wash or detergent or alcohol wipes would get it off. Perfect red stain. I think if it hit a cotton tablecloth you'd just have to throw it out.

I'm looking to get a pedicure and manicure before I get my first major henna work done. It would happen 2 days before I get the henna done and I saw that they use paraffin wax and organic VOESH Pedi packets. Should I avoid any kind of lotions 2 days before I get the henna done or is it safe that far in advance (or should I push it out further)? Thanks!!
One more question, would you recommend to have clients exfoliate the day before? The last time I had henna done on me, it was on my hand and fingers. It didn’t stain very well on me compared to others that got it done that day. I’m 49, does it not take as well on mature skin? I will definitely follow all the advice you’ve given here, I just wondered if exfoliating first would have helped. It was really patchy. Let’s make it two more questions lol. You mentioned that henna doesn’t come in other colors and you make the white henna with pros aide, can you mix the pros aide with other colored body paint? Thanks again for your advice.
Jenny B exfoliating can definitely help since own variable is skin chemistry, really dry skin can lead to shorter stains for example. So definitely try that out and make sure you’re following all the tower after care instructions 🙌 and yes you can def use other body paints for sure!
how do i make my henna less noticable for school, i go to a private school and we need to cover all body art. can u cover it with makeup without ruining it?
