Awesome! Just so you know for the Sequel, a portion of the beginning is a retelling/remake of this one since the makers didn't have the rights to show scenes from the first in the second.

Fun Fact: At the end of principal shooting in Tennessee, the crew put together a little time capsule package and buried it inside the fire place of the cabin as a memento of the production to whomever found it. The cabin has since been destroyed and only the fireplace is still intact. Make Your Own Blood Fact: The blood is a combination of Karo syrup, non-dairy creamer, and red food coloring. At one point, Bruce Campbell's shirt that he wears in the film was so saturated with the fake blood that after drying it by the fire, the shirt became solidified and broke when he tried to put it on. Location Location Fact: Filmed in a real-life abandoned cabin. The property's owner granted the production crew to lease the cabin, under the condition that any modifications made for filming were to be undone. The crew kept their promise, and the only thing that remained in the cabin was the fireplace that was specifically built for the film.

I'm sorry but by watching only movies you are missing A LOT of evil dead. Since Ash vs. the Evil Dead is pretty much AMAZING.

I think you're one of the few reactors who didn't complained or mocked the cheap makeup in a few scenes and was aware of the budget limitations (since it wasn't produced by a major studio)

Though I love this movie, my favorite will always be the 2013 remake, it's darker, dirty and more evil. Can't wait for you to see it.

I remember when I first watched this movie as a kid, because it was not rated, but my parents let me watch it anyway, but I loved it and I still love watching it, also the sequel is the best.

Fun fact: That 2 fishermen waving at the car at the opening scene are Sam and Ted Raimi brothers. 😁

I was 8 years old when this was released and the trailer for it on tv scared me so much I would start crying. Now it's one of my favourite horror films, I love the special effects and the camera work right at the end is amazing

The evil dead franchise is my favorite horror franchise of all time. I just have the remake and rise to see, but I'll always return to this classic original trilogy

Just for infos : Don't be surprised witht he beginning of evil dead 2 because it isn't a sequel but a kind of reboot since the crazy thing is that Sam Raimi didn't even have the rights of his own movie. So he had to redo the begining of the first one differently kind like a recap

This is a classic but the second is such a fun time you will love it
