I remember watching Ex JW Critical Thinker channel while indoctrinated and still having to respect the well explained presentation. You guys are amazing! Love your brother from Cuba there are many ex JWs here.

Once you accept the idea that God is using these men to tell you what he wants you to do, you will do anything they ask you to do, because if you disobey them, you are disobeying God himself. At that point, they will have complete authority over your life from the womb to the tomb.

Back in the late 70's I was very depressed (realizing the Org was false). I was approached by a sister who chastised me for my depression. She asked me why I bothered coming to the meetings because I looked so depressed. I shocked her when I replied "You're right I don't know why I come". Her son was quoting a scripture telling me, "Jehovah's people were "happy people" ... Made my EXIT by 1982. 🙂

Shortly before I woke up I asked the circuit overseer’s wife what she saw is the biggest problem in our circuit.Thinking she would of course say immorality, she said it was depression. After I woke up, I knew why. Great video, I thought about the same thing!

Then he asked them, “If one of you has a child or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?” ( Life over law )

My heart goes out to the family that wants to further their education. I too suffered at the hands of a body of elders who felt they had the right to interject their personal beliefs onto me. Furthering my education did not pull me out of "The Truth", but their pushing was certainly instrumental in doing so! They turned the majority of the congregation against me. I often tell people I quit going when it hurt more to go than to not go. Thank you for all you do. It means more than you can ever know. ❤️

A profound epiphany in my waking up process was that this organization did not start as an "organization," it started as a magazine fan club. It wasn't until Rutherford that it became a religion. He started the pattern of making up new laws on the fly, Knorr continued, and and governing body after him.

I really like this segment! The study articles that we had in March of 2022, in the Watchtower Magazine, also talked about obeying no matter what! The lesson didn’t talk about obeying Jesus Christ! The organization is really reiterating over and over about obeying the Governing body! Thank you for all the work that you both do!

The governing body has said that they are not inspired of God. So why are the members putting their lives in the hands of people who have no real communication with God. The governing body wants full control of the members without having to take responsibility for the mental instability that their teachings cause on its members.

That Watchtower quote from the November 2013 article is Pharisaical for sure but it also reminds me of the Peoples Temple and Jim Jones.

Jesus made an amazing statement to the pharisees, he was quoting a text from Isaiah in Matthew 15:9 "It is in vain they keep worshipping me, for they teach commands of men as doctrines". Isaiah 29:13 "And their fear of me is based on commands of men that they have been taught"!

When I first heard the elders and the governing body say obey us even if it doesn’t make sense from a human standpoint, I was livid. What does that even mean, a human stand point, is there other sentient beings out here on earth that’s not human that I do not know about that will understand what the Governing is saying? I got disfellowshipped many years ago and I still go to the meetings with my mom, I dont trust those people at all. I do hate sitting there but my Mom loves being a Jehovah Witness and I will always be her protector no matter what. I’ve noticed lately that the Watchtower has been drilling those thoughts in their members head, they talk about it every chance they get. There’s something brewing and I believe it’s something bad, so I go with my mom to keep and eye on her. On a side note, I dress how I want to dress when I go. I try to wear something sexy just to piss the elders off. Every dog has its day

Here is one story of how these manmade rules effected me: it's the hours they want you to get in public preaching...if's like it you aren't doing something really necessary like supporting youself, then the other time needs to be spent preaching. I had a client who was a wonderful piano teacher. I wan'ted lessons and I bartered her my services for piano lessons. I had an hour a week with her, but was expected to practice at home hours out of the week. I felt guilty during my time of practicing and going to her lessons. I felt like, I can take this time for the piano study, but not take that time for door to door work. I quit the lessons...I told her I just couldn't take the needed time, but it was not her fault and I had made the deal...she owed me several weeks of lessons for the services I had rendered her...I told her I was the one bailing on the deal...I didn't expect her to feel like she had to reimburse me in any way...if she desired she could extend lessons that I had paid for to help out another student. This impact is small compared to what others have been guilted either into or out of.

It is so refreshing to listen to you guys... Straight forward spiritual discussion, common sense and reason applied... None of the nonsense that is taking place in the ex j.w. community as a result of things Croatia... Love what you guys do....it is always looked forward to... Well done to all involved... Ex- Baptized JW. I have had depression since childhood & it led me to start smoking cigarettes while a JW. I stopped going to meetings in order to not "contaminate" others. Consequently, I was disfellowshipped. At the same time a ministerial servant was selling drugs. His position was taken away for about 5 minutes, then reinstated. He continued to sell drugs, but nothing happened. I was devastated to be "thrown to the wolves" of this world. I did not leave God & He did not leave me. He led me to a Biker church where the true gospel of Jesus is taught in context. The love & encouragement of this phenominal "church family" has made all the difference in my life. I am now free from depression & antidepressant medication! Thank you JT & Lady Cee for your informative videos & telling the truth about this toxic JW organization.❤

Absolutely. During my last year in that religion, I was constantly thinking about that scripture."Do not go beyond what is written. Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other.” I was tired and was having personal, and particularly, health issues, and they still were pressuring me and my husband. Their attitude forced us to analyze a lot of things and I told him they were shamelessly going beyond what is written and were way more severe and demanding than Jesus himself. Once you realize that, you see them do it again and again. You notice it everywhere. I quickly told my husband I was going to leave that religion and even if it was God's true religion -which I doubted- I would face the consequences. But I was 100% done. I told him that I would wait a few months so he could get used to the idea and maybe consider my reasons or tell me when he was ready to face the situation with the elders, but after a month (I think) he was very disappointed on them too, and we stopped going to the meetings and everything. I stopped like a week or two before him.

This is the most concise conversation that drives a stake through the heart of the matter. This is one I need to consider sharing with my JW loved ones. A walk off homer for sure 💯💪🏾🙏🏾

The JW preaching work is definitely a Pharisee type law. Jesus said to preach the Gospel, but nowhere does it talk about reporting that time to the apostles or setting minimums that had to be adhered to. And this whole overlapping generations teaching is not biblical AT ALL, but none of them better dare question it. I'm just thankful for so many, like myself, waking up to what this organization really is. Great video as always.

I sometimes wish government had a cabinet to deal with emotional-happiness-mental health for America. Have programs and fundings but not working effectively. It’s so good to hear this video. I was raised a JW and can remember feeling absolutely worthless and never good enough (even as a child) and I wasn’t doing anything wrong. Just never enough time to turn in, I thought a curse word in my head, questioned things I heard from stage but then felt terrible for not believing and doubting them. It was a never ending beat down and was very depressing and put me in a deep dark place…but always had to put on a smile. I feel so bad for one’s still in that struggle with the feeling I had. It's always good to see the dynamic duo together Daniel and JT. Our Lady Cee surprised me with the skit that had me going,(My mother's name is Georgia), lol. But the point of the skit is that JW's get flustered when their students ask the wrong questions. Anytime they're asked a question about the organization's rules is the wrong question. Growing up in this organization myself, I couldn't understand why my mother was so unhappy. She made her life and the lives of her children just pure hell. I got tired of being told I was going to be destroyed at Armaggedon. So just as JT commented when you get worn down by this organization it's like the Pharisees back in Jesus' day. I told myself that I was going to be destroyed anyway what was the use. When the depression and suicidal thoughts kicked in I was told there was no reason to be sad. I was told to read the Watchtower and go out in field service more. Your videos speak the "Real Truth" Thank You!

My mom was just saying how clear it was that we follow the blood transfusion doctrine but didn’t know whether the scriptures said we shouldn’t eat blood or take it in in anyway. If the Governing Body wants to claim that they are the faithful slave of Matthew 24 then they had better be prepared to accept the punishment described in verse 51 for the mistreatment of fellow servants. 😉

Furthermore, anyone suffering depression should not be advised to increase time in the ministry as a remedy but to be sensible and take rest and/or counselling/meds if at all necessary because sometimes it can be either stress related or indeed a chemical imbalance which no amount of field service can cure..

The watchtower turned me on to the Bible, but before long the Bible turned me off to the watchtower. Isn't that funny! Come to think of it, this is so common that this is probably why the rank-and-file do not have the Scripture knowledge that they used to. Maybe they should switch to a different book, or roll -- maybe a roll of toilet paper. I've seen stains that make more sense than their current literature. I left a long time ago, but I occasionally check out videos like these to find out what is going on with them, just for amusement, really, although I do have a highly dysfunctional, beligerant family member who will probably never get out. I know he will NEVER talk to me, because I left. For years, before this cult came our way, I was so sick of him I could puke. So you see, even cults are good for something. As usual, this video contains a lot of good information, but I have to laugh at the way they present it as carefully-scripted conversations. Gee, I wonder where they learned that from!

I'm sorry to write so many comments this video was so awesome. My wife and I call them modern day pharisee's for a long time. My wife and I are disfellowship. I have been disfellowship twice for smoking pot. I have a blood disorder, anxiety, anger issues that have been fixed, and a self harm cutting disorder. that had been fixed. pot really helps me. in so many ways. I believe it to be a gift from god. We moved from our home in Rhode island. to Nashville TN. we couldn't be around those people any more. even our own families. my wife tried to get reinstated to have her family back. I tried as well. we were going to be pimo's. well the elders slandered me with abusive speech. ( not true) so I gave up i told my wife sorry I tried. I can't do it. I will not be dominated by them. she respected my decision. well she met with them twice and got reinstated. They told her not to tell her family until the announcement. she didn't. all of a sudden she gets a call from her mom . my wife panics. the only time we get a phone call from are families is to tell us some one died. my wife sent a long text to her mother explaining to her the fear of the phone she has. she was afraid her father died. he is obese and has a heart condition. he could go anytime. in the text she said Jehovah is not happy with the governing body. Her mother went behind her back and told the elders and sent the text to them. now they won't reinstate her. what happened? a elder in our comittee took it upon himself to tell my mother In law and fucked the whole thing up. now my wife feels betrayed by her family. she no longer wants them in her life. watchtower are monster's. this is a tragedy. "who's going to save my soul now? who's going to save my soul now? how will my sorry ever be told now? getting so high cause I feel so low now."

I've told so many jw's that the gb are exactly like the Pharisees because of their man-made rules that aren't even in the Bible. Plus, when they do cite from the Bible, it's out if context. Then to make it worse, their nwt has been altered away from the real Christian Scriptures. I've had to explain these things many times. He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. DEUTERONOMY 4:2 tells us not to add to God's word or take away from it. Look at how many people the Governing body have made to stumble. Look at the consequences for adding or taking away at Revelation 22:18 -19, 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. SOMEBODY IS GOING TO PAY BIGTIME, INDEED.

I am 55 year old the youngest of 11 kids all of them my 7 sisters are regular pioneers and husband are elders and I have left that organization for 5 months now. I showed my ex friend in the Australian Royal commission she claimed apostate of it and would not believe anything even believe the Washington post so me in my foolishness told four of her elders now my old elders has come in contact with my elders in the small town of Adel ga. So in the mean time I had to change my number so they made contact with my husband. He told me the next step is to write me a letter well when I get the letter I am taking it to my lawyer to write a letter to them saying if the defame my good name I will be suing them for not following the Bible and for defaming my name and will be pursuing legal action and punitive compensation. To each of the elders in Adel, Georgia and in Tifton, Ga. One of my sister is of the anointed. They say they are not to look on the internet but it’s not in the Bible and so is telling on the brothers gossiping is not in the Bible
