This house has a loft, hickory cabinets, and so much more! The manufacturer for this house is Kit Custom Homebuilders. The model for this home is the "Cedar Canyon LS 2071LS." We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”

The entrance to the loft is awkwardly situated rendering the loft as a useless wasted living space. Perhaps it is better suited as storage, like an attic. The house would be nice for 1 person as storage is severely limited. Placement of the washer and dryer is awkward. I’ve watched other videos of smaller homes with better designs. Thanks though. Nice job!

I thought the same thing. Way to short to sleep even kids up there. Storage only. I'd move the ladder to the small bathroom too. Otherwise you have to be careful where you put furniture in the bedroom because of the dropdown ladder.

Definitely a poor location for the loft entrance, as well as where it enters the loft itself, right dead center,makes for awkward maneuvers. I'm not a fan of the built porches either. Yes, it's nice to have a porch,but it cuts so much square footage out of living space, it's unnecessary. $125k could be spent on a better design in my opinion.

The loft was a bust, maybe with an exposed ladder from the front living room would have been more practical, perfect MIL space, ha,ha! Would be ok for lake lot cabin.

As a custom home designer, I’d like to mention a few things… the kitchen is perfectly laid out for the size of this home. There was PLENTY of room in that half bathroom for a 3-piece bath. They should’ve put a 24” vanity, toilet, and tub/shower. A powder room should only have a small vanity, because people just use it to use it to go potty. You really need a 3-piece if you have guests over, especially if they’re going to come with their children. That loft would have been perfect enclosed behind a wall instead of handrails. You really need that storage and it’s not tall enough for a loft. Loved the master bathroom. If you’ve never had laundry in your bathroom, you don’t know what you’re missing. You can heat up your towels while you shower. You can throw your dirty clothes right into the washer before you shower. If you’re bad about hanging your clothes up after they’re dried and have to fish through the dryer for clean clothes, you can do so right when you get out the shower. And honestly, if you have a nice looking newer washer/dryer set, it can look nice. Bedroom was plenty spacious.

Agreed with putting in a tub/shower in that first bath. A lot of wasted space in there.

@@tamielizabethallaway2413 Thank you for your passionate response, but I know what a loft is. We always like to make the side walls 3 to 4 ft tall in a loft so that the space is more useable. But I don’t design mobile homes. I am a custom home designer and estimator. Single wide mobile homes and tiny houses are not allowed in our county, so there would be no need for me to do further research.

There's some things I like about this little place but the Loft isn't one of them!! What I do like is the shower, it could be made to work for we older folks. And I don't mind the laundry being in the bathroom either, it could be covered with a louvered door system or accordion doors just to hide them somewhat. I like the hickory cabinets and the fact the vents are in the floor. AND I like that these are the best insulated manufactured homes in the country, They'd need to be in Idaho!! It get's in the negative double digits there in the winter. Speaking of cold, I'd have a gas radiant heater installed, natural or LP depending on what was available wherever the property was. It's a shame they cost so much and are probably not available in Ga. Either. Good video Chance.

Yay, I finally caught a vid. For a single wide this home really packs so much in. I LOVE the kitchen, it's stunning. The bedrooms are a really good size. The 1st (smaller) bedroom is the size of my master in the UK. Have a blessed day, love and prayers for your Grandpa and your family.🙏🤞

I watched this one to see what you would say about the horse in the living room. Put this home up a week ago on my channel. I was curious to so how you would do this home and what we would do different and the same. I will say for being over 6 foot and getting in the loft, I give you props. I just did a pan around.

Nice for a tiny home. Great that the loft is dedicated to storage. Having a guest bath is a nice feature. The main bath is interesting. Wish it had a few more windows. It's a little dark. Master is nice size. I have to say that I like the Oak Creek smart cottages and Athens Park comparable single wide homes more. They have more light and nicer finishes.

Hey guys sense you are asking for comments here's one. Putting the sink stove and fridge on the same side makes it easier to cook. When I cook I wash my hands 20 x or more. Going across the room to get to the fridge also is a pain. Love your videos and you are funny. GOD Bless you and your family and the company. And all the wonderful people you work with.

Nice kitchen layout. No island sink yay! A wood burning fireplace would make it more cozy. They should have raised the roof a bit over the loft but overall it's well done for the size.

This is small but livable for a couple without driving each other crazy. (That 2nd toilet is really the key there.) Also it'd be real easy to clean. 😂 The only thing it's missing is a pantry. But could always build a cold storage cellar on the property for some food storage. 👍

That's a drop-in sink, Chance. I know the apron style farmhouse sink is popular but drop ins were the thing a generation ago. Undermounted sinks were the next generation. LOL

Nobody needs extra storage we just need less stuff. Nice home for what it is. Pricey to me for a single wide. I paid $75,000 for my 4 bed 2 bath brick home with over an acre yard fenced and gated. So it would be hard for me to spend anything over $30,000 for a single. Very nice though. Awesome video.

The location of the loft ladder essentially makes one of the two areas (loft or second bedroom) useless for regular use. Also, a tiny home is generally 400 sqft or less. This is a home for a couple, probably for vacations only.

I liked this small home. The layout and use of space was very efficient. I would use pocket doors for all of the bathrooms and bedrooms, if it was up to me. This would be a great vacation home or guest house if you had the room on your property for it. Thinking of small homes, What ever happened to Camper Masters? I always enjoyed those "tours" too.

They had some decent ideas, they just failed at making them work for real life. It would have been better to put in a stair case, divide the loft in 2 and add the remaining space to the bathroom for a tub. Kitchen is decent.

I loved the front porch! I would have to opt out for the loft if I were to buy. That pull down staircase is convenient but it takes up a lot of that bedrooms space.

We've been looking at the smaller 1 bed version of this for a MIL suite on our property for my folks who are in their 70s! Love that this just came up on my watch later 😍 We're between one of these guys and a kit builder we've already worked with before.

Chance I showed my Mom a few of your videos and she really likes them. Her being originally from NY state, near the Canadian border but has been in FL since her early teen years, anyway....her first comment was she loves the house she was watching and then she laughed a little and said, "I just love his southern accent." Accents are good, some are better even or worse for people from the same region, same state. Yours is good, I like to think my FL accent is. And some can be sloppy, just like some northern accents if "tweaked right" can be okay while some can be annoying. Other than that I like the concept of a loft in a single wide but that roof has to be raised and it might help if the floor was lowered a little. I mean can we get by with a 7 foot ceiling where the loft will be above you. Maybe that part of the roof can be finished more once it is delivered. All I know it won't be just the kids using that loft if you're living there long enough. Prolly the home needs to be longer so there can be a real stairwell leads out from the living room. Someone would really have to want a loft it gets too expensive. It's still a S/W and financing/insurance can be an issue sometimes. Kitchen was great. Good home for a single person or young couple with no more than 2 kids.

The finishes are nice on this home, but if I were trying to live in it, I’d soon miss what’s missing here, such as a food pantry, linen closet, 2nd full bath, closet space, dedicated dining space.
