ExCULT kids react to SISTER WIVES 

Robyn was a divorced mother of three with no money when she joined the family. She wanted financial security. She now owns a very large home, acres of land and never had to work a day in her life. She played Kody perfectly.

If Kody was my dad, watching him talk to my mom like this, on national TV, would be enough to keep me from visiting his house.

Kody fully expected that the family would shun Christine when she left him. That didnt happen because Christine was the backbone of the family. She raised most of the kids, she did all the family celebrations. She IS the family and it drives him nuts that he cant control everyone and force them to shun her.

The biggest reason Kody and Robyn are acting upset is bc the women who have left him were providing the vasttt amount of the financial resources that Kody and Robyn are used to exploiting.

Eskel needs to be a deseption detection analyst. He's incredibly perceptive. Cody's tactic of diversion with tantrums is so apparent, but I never picked up on it until Eskel pointed it out.

I LOVE how emotionally aware Eskel is! He picks up on so many nuances that even I don’t pick up on sometimes and I’m a therapist!

To add to your must watch list: the episode(s) in season 16 where Kody tries to stop his daughter from getting a major surgery to correct her scoliosis, refuses to go to the surgery because of "covid concerns", bullies her into accepting that he doesn't go, then goes to officiate a friends wedding instead. You'll need a BIG bottle of wine.

He’s mad that his ADULT kids won’t call him, but he won’t call them. He is still the parent even though the boys are adults, so he should make the first call. But he won’t. Also, Kody’s case of Covid was not enough to be hospitalized. The doctor told him to go recover at home like most people. We see on a later episode (or on an interview Janelle and Christine did) that Kody wanted Janelle to come home from out of town because he had the Rona. She called Kody’s doctor to see what she could even do and the doctor said she had to stay away from the house because he had to quarantine at Robyn’s house. She couldn’t do anything but dropping off food at his door (which Uber Eats could also do)!

That look on Kody’s face when he had the “realization” is so funny lmao good catch Eskel!😅

What is so telling about Kody's behavior around covid, he didnt take care of Janelle and her kids when they got covid. They were exposed when visiting Robyn's house. Her nanny and the nanny's husband got covid and exposed Robyn's household. He skips right over that and forgetting Gabriel's bday.

Fun fact: Kody and Robyn acted like this over Covid and they are indeed, not vaccinated themselves 🫠

Background for you: Meri was the the first woman that Kody married. She was the original legal wife. She was the 'first/head wife' and organized the family, the schedule ... just about everything. The wives were able to work well together under Meri's guidance even on days when they did not like each other very much. That was the first 15-16 years of their marriages. Around the time that Kody was courting/spiritually marrying Robyn, Kody melted down his wedding band with Meri without telling Meri. When she noticed he told her that he did not want her to have power any more. Meri was crushed when she found out. Meri was coerced by Kody/Robyn to divorce him so that he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her kids. Meri loved the kids. Robyn made her afraid that Robyn's ex would take her kids if Kody did not adopt them legally. Kody has screamed constantly that 'there is no first/head wife in his family'. The family organization, the schedule and the family fell apart at Kody's insistence. Kody wanted chaos thinking that they would not notice that he spent most of his time with Robyn and her kids. All of the wives and all of the kids noticed anyway. Meri stays silent because she was shunned the family and she had been trained to 'keep sweet' and obedient by her religion and her mother. Meri shows up for recording at Kody's request because he wants to project that he has 4 successful marriages. Meri loves the kids and the big family. She continued to show up for them because the TLC pay check was supporting the lives of the kids.

Christine bruised his ego BAD!!! 😂😂😂 I love it! "toddler man" Amanda, that's funny!!😂😂 You two need to do this together more!!!! I absolutely love it!

apparently, Kody and Robyn didn't get vaccined but the others all have. I forget where they mentioned this but I feel like it was addressed. So much for keeping the kids safe. lol

Recently Janelle said when Kody had covid she and Christine were out of state. He called Janelle and told her she needed to come home because he needed her to go to the store. So, he wanted her to come back, go to the store and bring them stuff. Which she most likely would have just left at the door and then went home.

I'm glad you guys see that Robyn is the master manipulator. She successfully eliminated the worst rival, Christine, and some of Janelle's kids, who see who the actual Robyn is. But two things she screwed were: 1. Keep being a favorite wife; you need other sister wives to be a favorite. But Robyn underestimated Christine. Robyn has been whispering to Kody that Christine is mean to her, to look her good. But she did not expect Christine to leave. Oops. And Robyn knows that Christine leaving might make Robyn look bad; that's why she has been upset and in the act of dry crying. 2. Now Kody's "I have never loved other wives" conflicts with Robyn's "I was not getting special treatment" or "There is no favorite" narrative. Kody is just trying to hurt Christine, but Robyn does not expect Kody to be that stupid, and she wants to stay on the "we did nothing wrong" side. Too bad. Now, Kody made an actual major sacrifice for Robyn, and Robyn lost all the weapons (Christine and "mean" kinds) to be an innocent princess. So.. She has to be ready for the big karma coming.

Christine was the only wife who was born into polygamy. Meri got into it as a child, Janelle was main stream Mormon. Robyn says she did but she did NOT. Her mom was a side piece to Robyn’s step dad that lived in a different state. They would see the step dad every few weeks.

Janelle is 100% correct in this situation and I support her and Christine. Cody is literally a narcissist. He's a horrible husband, but he's an even worse dad. Janelle is a great mom and is so much smarter than Cody could ever dream of being. He likes leaving things unresolved, it justifies his anger and behavior in his eyes.

Kody was not that sick. And when Janelle had covid he never even checked on her

I enjoyed the addition of Eskel to the commentary. I think having him there to talk with when you were triggered instead of drinking helped you cope in a more healthy way. I also appreciated him pointing out every time Kody was talking in circles and deflecting from the real issues.

Kody and Robyn's nanny tested positive, then they claimed to have it but they both tested negative. Janelle and her boys had it a year before, tested positive and didnt complain at all. Kody is saying what Robyn wants. You'll see it in a few episodes. She created the covid rules, her nanny got it first and she used that to say everyone getting together isn't safe. (They weren't getting together before covid but covid gave them an excuse.)

I’m not sure if it was already mentioned in the comment section but I would like to remind everyone that Kody wasn’t even that ill with CoVID. He had a 99.9 fever on the show. He drove Robyn to the hospital and waited for her in the parking lot. Robyn was not even admitted AND she was talking and filming herself while waiting to be seen by a doctor. I’m vaccinated and boosted and I got CoVID 3 times and believe me I couldn’t do what either Kody or Robyn did while having CoVID. Also in the newest episodes of either the Look Back or Talk Back Robyn said that Kody was taking care of the kids. How was he in a fetal position, on his deathbed and still caring for the children? Everything these people say is contradictory and lies.

When Janelle got Covid, he was nowhere to be found. He got Covid and had mild symptoms and he acted like he was dying. Giant man baby. Another interesting point is that Janelle got vaccinated , but Kody, so afraid of Covid and protecting his tender aged kids (🤮) never did.. On top of that during the worst of Covid when everybody else was expected to sit in their homes alone, he and Robyn were seen at the mall shopping with no masks .

I love you guys watching this together. You guys are hilarious. I’m happy that you guys have each other.

They are both narcissistic, and Robin wants to keep the wives in the mix because they all get money from TLC and as soon as they leave that money goes away now Robin and Cody are living off of only two paychecks instead of five, so the money is going downand Mary just realized just recently she’s been towing to Cody hoping he’d come back to her or something. She just realized that Robbins been stringing her along just much. Cody has it sad but the indoctrination is so strong it’s hard to break away.

Oh man, yes! The brother is so right that Kody wasn’t taking blame, he was just excusing himself by blaming his childhood.

Kody has always expected the wives to be the go between with he and his kids. He's never communicated himself. It's very clear watching the show in the early years. He always wanted to be King but the first three wives wouldn't allow that. Until Robyn came along and he saw he was the King in her household. That's why he chose her.

Janelle was actually halfway crying as she was walking off. They showed it in another episode but people really did not catch that.

Kody and Robyn have NEVER hosted the whole family in that huge house. Janelle has a very small home , so she doesn't have room. The rental was a perfect solution.

I think you guys missed an important point that might be helpful to understand! Kody feels betrayed by this Christmas thing, because Janelle and he kids got an Airbnb, and then after Christmas, Christine and her kids are gonna to use the same rental home. So essentially, Kody feels like Janelle is betraying him because Janelle is playing nice and choosing to spend Christmas with the wife that left instead of him! 😵‍💫

Robyn controls Kody. He presents rules but they were really her rules. She does dictate! Why does Christmas have to happen only at Robyn’s house? They used to rent a house to be together. First few seasons they spent Christmas at a rental big enough for everyone

I think Meri clings to being the one who brought them together because she wants to be included.

The thing that blows my mind is the fact that Robyn being the 4th wife has become the legal wife. I forget what season but Meri divorced Kody "so he could adopt Robyn's kids." Now, he talks like he cares about everyone else wen he just doesn't.

Let’s not forget Kody only had a minor case of Covid. Robyn had it much worse and was hospitalized for it. Kody bullied Christine and Janelle for not following his weird guidelines but they still hired Nannie’s to come in and out of their home and they ended up getting Covid from the nanny. Also of the three wives I truly believe meri is the only one who is still brainwashed and still defends him and Robyn. Robyn was not manipulated and Robyn also is the reason for the apology. The adult kids had a text thread about Christmas gift exchanges with all the siblings and invited Robyn’s kids to it but Robyn refused to allow them to see the kids in person. Robyn then added herself to the text thread that none of the other parents did and ended up blowing up at Christine and janelles kids and said she nd her kids are done with the other kids and doesn’t want to see them ever again bc one of the kids made a joke that had nothing to do with Robyn or her kids. So Kody said the kids need to apologize if they want to see him or the kids and Robyn ever again. The kids knew they did nothing wrong and refused. They talk about it in the most recent season. They all know robyn is just as manipulative as their dad and because of her they lost the relationship they had with their father. And now Robyn is acting like she has no idea why she’s involved in the conversation about janelles kids.

Cody is your regular narcissist but Robin is a Covert narcissist like my ex, they are more sneaky. the overt (Cody) are extraverts and Covert (Robin) are introvert.

Christine is so happy, pain is not on her radar! So happy for her.

It's really simple. Kody knows the holidays are approaching so he needs to pick up the phone and ask his kids what are their plans for the holidays. And make sure they know they are included in his plans. But he definitely needs to get them presents equal to the lavish gifts Robyn's kids received.

Oh boy, he would have gotten the skillet after his head for being such a big child! I’m not the woman to deal with such crap. I had a stepfather that was like that and even us kids where to blame for his live because he did things that wasn’t supposed to see daylight. The day i stood up against him and in court he threatened my live! This in Belgium 🇧🇪 is a serious case, so he was put on a no contact rule and not coming near me. He tried by a story in the papers a very sad story but didn’t tell about what he did get us go through, he told them my birth mother kept us but she’s not been in my live for mor than 30 years now. My husband tried that once in the beginning of our marriage, I told him one such thing again and he’s suitcase was ready packed and out. Because I won’t live in that kind of live ever again because I made myself a promise no man will ever yell, belittle or raise his hand against me ever again. He knew my situation before we dated and married. He went to his mother she came to talk to me nicely and he got the earful that he should now better than to be the one to put all the blame on me because marriage is two people carrying the household and raising the kids. Yes we still argue but before bedtime we Hugh and say sorry we talk it out. Or I ask to let it be so I can reflect on my actions and what happened but the next day we talk it through. Kody for as far I saw that show was for me a big kid with his wife’s more being the mom of his kids but acting as his mom too.
