Solji used to be the group's vocal coach before joining them and I love that they have her and Hyerim in the group, they even have kind of similar tones, it's so good. These two are powerhouses when it comes to sAnging and the juxtaposition with Hani and Jeonghwa's light-airy voices and Elly's spit game is iconic

I am so happy 서혜린 (the lead vocalist) is getting so much flowers in this reaction😂 she is so underrated but such a vital part of the group

In my personal opinion, Solji and Hyerin's voices always complemented each other very well, Hyerin grew a lot with each comeback and it was a shame that some fans always looked down on her work; especially when she took over Solji's parts in her hiatus due to health problems. As for their style and Hani's tone in most of the title tracks, I think it was more of a company decision because of the way they became famous, but their voices are good and they always had a great stage presence.

Hani has great lower range vocals that she showcased in MaskSinger show and Elly sang there too...Actually they all performed there individually.

Solji the one in the middle was their vocal trainer before joining & now currently she is a vocal Professor @ a Univeristy in Korea!!! She also was the first winner of the the masked singer & won like 6 times she is absolutely crazy

Also, Solji is known for being an incredible solo ballad singer. She was the 1st ever winner of Masked Singer then came back after her medical hiatus to continue winning. I highly recommend her Immortal song and Masked singer performances to see how much Solji is a freak of nature when it comes to singing. She will get you in your feelings. She's known in Korea for making people cry when she sings, especially live.

interestingly enough that isn’t hani’s true/full tone! (i’m not super knowledgeable w vocal terms so bear with me lol) her voice suits jazz well and has a lot more soul than exid songs typically lead on. if you’d like to hear it she has a cover of “honey” on masked singer! it’s from 2016 so i can’t even imagine her improvement now. loved the reaction as always

EXID b-sides are where it is at. The one in the middle Leader and Main Vocal Solji was their vocal teacher before joining the group. I'd recommend 1m, The Vibe, How You Doing, and Every Night to start off with. This group is vocally insane.

Their b sides are sooo GOOD

Night Rather Than Day is their title track that I think you'd enjoy the most, it's definitely more chill and a little jazzy(?). Solji, the main vocalist and singer in the middle here, unfortunately had health issues and was missing for that comeback.

I can see their title tracks not being for you but theyve got some great bsides and a couple slower tracks. Youd be suprised, Hyerin (green sweater) has come SO FAR honestly she wasnt nearly this consistent 4 or so years ago.

i was so excited to see this because i figured you'd have a lot to say about their different vocal tones. it's also nice to see someone give hyelim some love. she's incredible! but i 100% agree about how you felt about their music. it really sells them short for how talented they are. and on hani, she naturally has more husky tone that doesn't come out a lot on their title tracks (every night is prob the song that shows it off the most since it's more r&b), but she has incredible control of her instrument in bringing out different "characters" through vocal tone changes. she sets the mood for so many of their songs because she's so versatile. if you listen to her cover of sway, you'd think she was a jazz or lounge singer. exid's music hides that she's actually an alto with a great belt in her range. i feel like you'd enjoy hearing their acoustic/dinnertime version of hot pink where their voices are completely raw and you can hear how good they sound harmonizing so i'd recommend that, hani's sway cover, and every night, which is the sound they abandoned once they blew up with up & down.

I think you will definitely like some EXID b-sides. They have such a large variety of songs. Check out their few songs like call, how why, boy, like the seasons, the vibe, 1M, I do, cream, Midnight, Weekend, don't wanna drive, etc

Exid is full of iconic people. I think the 2 most interesting facts I’ve learned is LE (the rapper) is the one who taught Hyuna rap, she’s the one who sort of started the whole nasally rap style for female rappers. Solji (in the middle) used to be their vocal coach before Hani asked her to join them. Now Solji is a college professor at an arts university for Music and Language.

Every night by exid is one of my favorite songs of all of kpop and the vocals are beautiful on it. Definitely a badass power ballad

You would absolutely LOVE hani’s solo “woo yoo” she’s the other lead vocalist. The one who sings with a baby voice but has an AMAZING lower register. To the point that her and hyelin(the one in the green that you like) are on equal footing vocally.

Every Night would be right down your alley. It has an MV. If you want a more ballad song then I suggest "1 million" it's one of their bsides

Thank you for reacting to these ladies!! EXID was the original group that came back from the grave. Up&down was supposed to be their last, until hani’s fancam went viral and put them on the map. I recommend ‘Every Night’ mid tempo-ish with tons of vocals and a pretty chill rap from LE. Probably one of my favorite songs by this group. I will say they really shine in performances and that might give you another understanding of their versatility.

LE(the rapper) can sing her voice is nice it’s just sadly she tends to do the raps in like if not all of exid songs she has a solo song called velvet that you can check out to hear her sing more

I love that they are back after soo long but I can't really remember any kind of ballads from them xD I have to check their albums. What I can recommend is for you to watch Solji's duet song festival - it's live and it blew me away with her vocals

I can recommend you their songs "We Are.." "Dont want a drive" "Woo Yoo" " Dreamer" " A sul hae" and because you enjoyed hyelin so much her solo "Foolish". In my opinion these are the best songs vocally where they really put effort in making them have a specific feel to them. Elly, the rapper has a solo song called velvet I think you would enjoy. It's very RnB, I totally get why their title tracks aren't grabbing you. They're kind of an acquired taste, but their b-sides from what I've heard are a lot less EDM inspired.

I recommend listening to the King of Masked Singer performances for both Hani and Solji ! Hani really shows her tone and "true voice" without having to fit the group's songs !

The middle girl is Solji, the main vocal. You might wanna check out her own song "Dreamer" and another song "Flame" duet with Hani(the one in black and white), it's an Drama OST. She's one of the most powerful singer in Kpop. Wining champions in many kinds of shows such as Mask King. and some fun facts.....L.E. (the rapper) is a rather prolific producer/songwriter. She and Shinsadong Tiger write/produced a majority of the EXID songs as well as all of the TRIBE songs. Solji was also recently appointed as a professor of applied music and Yongin University. Super fun group.....they were Brave Girls before Brave girls....the group that struggled in obscurity and then made it big with one viral moment. They're pretty beloved in korea just bc of how fun they are as well as their story (especially Solji's.....she was the vocal coach for the company and then debuted with them at a late age. Suffered through hyperthyroidism and had to take a break for a few years at the height of their popularity). Just generally a well liked group

One year later but I arrived, motha! Hani has this beautiful and amazing voice. EXID voice tend to rely on Hyelin and Solji (who are amazing singers) but they leave her with parts that involve her (Hani) adapting to needs of the structure of the song instead of using her instrument the way she's so goooooood at. I believe Junghwa dont have one of her solo, but she does have a duo with Hyelin called Hungry, but i dont think it showcases their voices well, its an EDM song.

Top 5: Top1 is Hyelin, Top2: LE, Top 3: Solji, Top4: Hani, top5: Jeonghwa. Solji's problem is that when she sings to change the key or increase the tone, Solji has to frown and strain her throat as much as possible, which proves that her aura is very weak.
