Fun fact! Solji (the main vocal, orange hair in L.I.E) used to be EXID’s vocal coach before she joined the group. That’s most likely why Hyelin (the other vocalist, short hair in LIE) and her have similar vocal tones. I love EXID, thank you for reacting! (Also sometimes I think EXID title tracks can take a couple listens to enjoy fully, sometimes the abrupt beat switches from the verses to the chorus throws people off).

EXID are extremely underrated

L.E the rapper, wrote and composed most of EXID's discography. She is a musical genius, she is also composed for a lot of other girl groups. She used to be the most credited female Idol a couple of years ago, idk if it continues to be the same. And your girl, the one you noticed the most is Hani, she can have both a very sweet and a very low tone, she is my bias. Thank you for the reaction Fifi

Sorry (but only a bit) for the below essay! Wasn’t planned but I love EXID! Ok so the orange haired vocalist in LIE is Solji, the amazingly talented leader and main vocalist of the group! She actually was not in DDD and a few other comebacks because of a hiatus due to hyperthyroidism. She was just the vocal trainer and not a member of the group when EXID debuted, but joined later. Fun fact: she won the pilot episode of King of Masked Singer and a few years later returned to the competition and won again! The rapper you like is LE! She was in an underground hiphop group called Jiggy Fellaz, taught Hyuna how to rap, and composed dozens of songs for EXID and other artists. My fave female idol rapper by a lot. Purple hair girl in DDD whose voice you like is Hani! She is often credited as the reason EXID didn’t disband when they didn’t take off for the first few years as a group. A fancam or her performing Up and Down went viral and the renewed attention saved the group. She is hilarious and relatable and if you look up her performances on King of Masked Singer, you can hear how unique her voice is in comparison to other idols. Hyerin is the vocalist who was taped to the walls in I love you and sang the chorus of DDD! She is also hilarious and acted as the group’s main vocal while Solji was on hiatus. Lastly is the maknae Jeonghwa! She was with the giant hamburger in I Love You. She was actually a child actress and we will hopefully see her in some acting gigs soon. Some song recs for them are Every Night (my fave title track from them but the mv is definitely a bit interesting/gross), Up and Down, Ah Yeah, Night Rather Than Day, and Lady!

First Moonbyul now L.E., girl recognizes a legit badass rapper when she heard one, LE used to be an underground rapper and she's musical genius, who produced a lot of bop song like Troublemaker. She's also the 2nd most credited Female Idol, whereas Moonbyul is 4th. The orange haired girl, Solji, is the main vocalist, I believe, and she used to be there vocal teacher. Fun fact, Hani, the girl who gave out the keys is a close friend of Moonbyul

Finally my fave group, also I think most of us forget but you should probably check f(x) perfect discography if you ask me, it’s the same with EXID all of theirs songs are just amazing

Since I know you love Rnb, they have a lot of more rnb influnced b-sides that I think you'd enjoy. They have one of the best discrographies in kpop imo. Songs you should check out => Their whole album Eclipse is 👌 - Night Rather Than Day (title track, 70s disco influence) - Boy (bside) - Velvet (LE's solo) - Milk/우유 (Hani solo) - Every Night (title track) - Lady (title track - 90s retro pop vibe) That's a good start already!

I still haven't listened to a bad EXID song. And I've listened to them all. One of my favourite discographies in all of K-Pop.

EXID has a very characteristic sort of chorus, that will happen across many of their songs; it's just part of their overall style. It may be an acquired taste, but I'm confident you'll acquire it.

That particular sound/melody of the chorus is E.X.I.D trademark and switching the entire melody from verse, bridge and chorus. It's like 3 different songs been mash up into a song... That's what made E.X.I.D one of the most unique GG. Solji for me have one of the best GG vocalist. She used to be their vocal coach before end up be in the group and the leader...

When I first got into EXID I didn’t like the chorus of most of their songs at first but after listening to the songs again I grew to really love it 😍

YAAY EXID!!! They're one of my ult groups alongside Red Velvet and SNSD - they're REALLY, especially once you get into them deeper (the b-sides are completely different than their title tracks - a lot more r&b-ish, and SO good). I personally love their chorus switchups - some people call that "EXID formula" because they have quite a lot of title tracks like that, but they tried a lot of other stuff so I'm sure that people who don't really dig this style will find a lot from them that they'll like. So don't worry about not feeling some stuff! Because this formula quickly grows on you, and even if not - they have plenty of other-sounding music! They're a very big brain group - the rapper you liked is called LE (Elly), and is one of the best female rappers in kpop (in my opinion of course) - and she's the 2nd most credited female artist by komca, and trained Hyuna in rap! (I don't know if you know of Troublemaker, a co-ed duo Hyuna was in - LE co-wrote their debut track with the same name, it slaps). She describes herself as more of a melodic rapper? That's why she refused to fully participate in SMTM or Unpretty Rapstar, she doesn't really like to diss people and such. The red haired singer you liked is called Solji - you can't see her in DDD because for a time she was very sick (a thyroid issue from what I remember), and EXID had to have a few comebacks without their leader :(. Solji is EXID's main vocal - before that she was a soloist (she released some R&B albums) and a vocal teacher. It was her that taught the other members how to sing :D. I really recommend you check out their b-sides, in particual Boy and Thrilling/Dangerous, because I'm like 90% sure you'll really like them, judging by your past reactions. As for title tracks without the switch ups, Lady (a retro, more old hiphop-ish vibe, VERY good song + concept) and Night Rather Than Day (a lot more chiller, the mood is great in that one) are really great and I recommend them a lot! There's also Me&You, which is their last korean comeback up to date and there is a switchup but I believe you'll be positively surprised by this one :). I'm quite sure you know their arguably most popular song, Up and Down, because it's been featured a lot in variety shows and such. Thank you very much for reacting to EXID!!!! Hani (the one you liked) did a collab with Mamamoo's Solar and F(x)'s Luna called "Honey Bee". It is a fantastic song and shows of their vocals. You should check out the MV!!

Solji is one of the best vocalist in the kpop world. Hands down. Solji, siyeon from dreamcatcher and solar could hit the notes effortlessly

EXID is my ult girl group. My girls have been through so much. LE is hands down my favorite idol rapper besides Moonbyul. They’re choreography isn’t shown much in their music videos but they are memorable once you see the dance

The thing with EXID is that they went from zero to hero because of a viral fancam of Hani (her charisma is top tier). They rode on this new legend status for the rest of the group's lifespan cause of that video. However, koreans have slept on the rest of their discography which is absurd. They are one of the few groups that, in my opinion, never missed. Not even once. From titles to b-sides, it was all gold, and they were super versatile too. Hani was a multitalented jazz voice center, Junghwa was the main dancer and soft voice maknae, L.E. was the best girl group rapper (quote me on that, she got bars), Hyerin was the lead vocal who did the heavy-lifting when Solji was absent and she did a stellar job and Solji was the best girl-group vocalist - I might get flak on that but she is on par with the likes of Taeyeon and Ailee in the untouchable category. Anyway, I still miss them a lot.

Their choreo was generally reserved for TV shows and other live performances. A fancam of one of their performances (Hani-focused) went viral and actually saved them from early disbandment!

Hani actually has a lower deep voice, but Banana kinda forced her to sing in high tones, the members knew this well that’s why when singing live Hani tend to had her mic a bit low... it was hard for her since she wasn’t that confident about singing so high, but if you want to hear her real voice you can watch her stage in king of masked singer! I recommend Night rather that day and Lady, also Up & down the song that saved them from disband and Ah yeah, this video in particular talks about double standards in the kpop industry, when they promoted up & down in music shows they had to change their choreography bc it was too “provocative” and “sexy” but at the same time there were male idols promoting shirtless so that’s the main reason of ah yeah’s mv! This year they had two japanese comebacks (bad girl for you and b.l.e.s.s.e.d) so if you’re interested you can check those out too :)

EXID is one of the BEST GG of all times... It's amazing that you reacted to them.. Also to take into consideration when watching them, is the Lirycs AND the message they're trying to convey... Their MV's are a call out most of the time to the misogyny happening, nad the awfully treatment to girls specially in Korea. It would be amazing if you could do a part 2..

Ahhhhh EXID! thank you💜. Filipino fan here, I miss them. Their songs are dope, talented girls and funny personalities. I recommend to see lyrics after. They are all now separated and signed in different agencies. Looking forward to their next exposure as one after in Japan just late 2020.

EXID are very unique in terms of concepts and music, LE (the rapper) writes most of the songs, if you react to them again, do Hot Pink, Ah yeah and Lady or Up and down which is also the song that saved them from disbanding and established them as a powerful girl group in kpop

when i first listened to their songs i was like "wtf is it three different songs in one?" and then i noticed myself jamming to their songs even to those which i disliked :D now they are my the most fav girl group. they are too understimated and underrated because of their unique style.

EXID are on my top 3 girl groups For the the chorus they have full ones with very few groups that still doing them nowdays.. they will definitely grow on you they're the chorus that are fun to sing along with. For my favorite EXID songs (aka suggestions lol) : - Lady - Hot pink - Me& you - Ah yeah (I'm betting my life you will love this and Lady too😉😂) Btw the rapper LE is the composer and writer of almost all of their songs, and she writes and compose for other groups as well. And the main vocalist and leader Solji was actually the group's vocal teacher then she was added as a member later. She is a vocal Queen
