Yea as if that means anything. People hyped over colantonio, delivered garbage. People hyped Obsidian, delivered trash. People are now hyping even Blizzard because they brought back an old timer. what are you on about lil bro. Those games (except outer worlds) are the ones that are the reason these devs are being overhyped now. Those games are good yes. What i mean is, people now expect those people to deliver good products again 10 years later simply because they think it being the same people will change anything. But alas - Outer Worlds is very basic and unfinished, Weird West is mediocre, and i sure as hell know Blizzard isnt gonna produce anything good just because Chris Metzen returned to his post. People need to stop blindly hyping over stuff simply because it has some people behind it that delivered a good product a decade ago. @@BenTheoRowe​

The voice for the character Tom sounds kind of like Liam Neeson.

I keep searching for something to fill the hole Mass Effect has left since I finished the 3rd game all those years ago. This is the only thing that looks like it might come close. Will definitely be keeping a close eye on this.

@@noahboardman5002 "Pre alpha footages" on the little piece of gameplay, basically some sequences built for show, which means that there is no game for now. My guess would be 2 years from now at the earliest. I seriously hope I am wrong tho. Anyway, I really don't see how they could go from pre alpha to release in less than a year.

I really dislike relativistic FTL. It makes me sad to think of the vast distances of space but also time separating planets, cultures and people. Give me warp drives, worm holes or hyperdrives or sod off. The only such universe I can even tolerate is RimWorld.

@@mirceazaharia2094 I think relativistic travel can be done well to convey the vastness of a setting. I really like House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds, where relativistic trips are usually "casual" (people use suspended animation a lot there). You also stumbled on one of the advantages of not including FTL. The emotional impact. The massive, massive stakes that characters roll the dice on every time they accelerate to 99.9% c. Every decision matters. Every sacrifice is so much greater.

The reasonable timeframe is when its completely and entirely finished.

Thye footages were pre alpha, basically a tech demo. It will take a long time before release, no way less than a year, probably more.

Because the time scale grows to be massive without FTL travel.

The first three seasons of The Expanse were great. Season 4 was OK, seasons 5 and 6 were pretty dull.

We have everything we need to know. Of a hero, of a romance, of sacrifice. We've been shown an enemy and a plight (of humanity). It looks frakking delicious.

Same here! When I saw the first announcement on the Game Awards I wasn't to impressed. Now since I've been learning more about the lore I've been hooked. My favorite thing I learned so far is about the Celestials. Its a interesting concept to me that Humans separated by thousands of years evolve into various different Transhuman species to the point they consider regular Humans to be primitive. This is a cool concept to me.

The biggest influence is probably Apple's Foundation TV adaptation.

You haven't seen the game. How can you assume it looks great. This is a video , the game might look NOTHING like this. How many times do we have to teach that lesson ?

Let's wait and see. But the fact is, that it's the first Mass Effect like game in 10 years and legends like Drew Karpyshyn and James Ohlen are behind this.

We just don't know. Making a trailer is EASY , making a game is not. I'm just saying , DO NOT PREORDER without having seen the real game first , they show the pretty trailer precisely to trap overenthousiastic people into buying the game before knowing the quality of it. If I have to sound like a dick while warning people , then so be it. Remember "Anthem".

@@AdvancedKrizalid To be honest, I'd preorder just to support Drew Karpyshyn, no matter the quality of the game. He's done some awesome projects and I'd love to see him produce another great story, whether it be in this game or the game after this one. Kotor is still my favorite game ever and I gotta give the credit to Drew for that. That being said, if this game has woke aspects being forced down my throat then sadly I'm giving up on modern gaming.

​@@Sco0077 надо подождать геймплейного трейлера чтобы понять что игра из себя будет представлять, но то что точно могу сказать даже в явно синематике лица персонажей и их анимация лучше starfield плюс над сюжетом этой игры работает Дрю Карпишен а это означает что сюжет будет захватывающим , желаю удачи archetype entertainment после фиаско starfield надежда на них что смогут сделать хорошую sci fi игру на bioware в нынешнем их состоянии веры нет

@@prixodiydacha8114 Не ну то понятно что надо ждать реального геймплея. Студию основал Д. Олен человек который был главным креативщиком БГ 1 и 2, КоТоРа и Невервинтера. То что трейлер лучше Старфиелдсоких то само собой, жаль за ними лежит большая пиар машина Майкрософт которая впарила куче народу игру середнячёк которая во всём хуже любой из частей ТЕСа. Надеюсь разрабы не подведут.
