Very nice tutorial. I would also point out that, in addition to exiting the knot with an over-2, you are (still) always following the strand behind when it comes to splitting pairs. Whatever the strand behind does last, your running strand does the same. If it goes under the pair that you are splitting, you split the pair so that you split the pair coming out under. If the trailing strand goes over the pair you are splitting, you split the pair so you come out with an over.
Is gaucho interweave possible on long long turkshead.21 parts and up? Also do gauchos always exit over two on both sides? Just watched a video of some dude saying different and confused me, as your videos are always my referenced learning tool.
It is possible. In fact it is possible to change between gaucho and herringbone in the same knot. I haven't made a video on it because I haven't gotten it completely down myself. As far as exiting over or under two, I think it is necessary on some knots, and not on others. What I show in my vids is what I have figured out through experimentation.
First off, thanks for the informative video. I tried this Sailor's Bracelet with a second color for the interweave. The finished product does not have symmetrical bights. I was expecting alternating colors all the way around the bracelet, but this was not the case. I think it's tied correctly. Any thoughts?
