I still feel like there is potential for unintended interactions with this. I prefer adding the clause "whose effect can equip itself to the targeted monster."

Yeah I love ABCs and ever since the card was announced I thought it was one of the worst designed/un-future proofed cards I've ever seen lol. I mean come on make it require machines or can only equip to machines or to itself literally anything would have been better than just "eh whatever you want" lol......

My more reasonable brain: "But is the only relevant union based deck atm" Edit: Random thought, why not just make union carrier negate the floating effects of the equipped monsters? Something like "that monster can't activate effects when it is sent from the field to the graveyard" or "the monster equipped with this effect can't activate effects the turn it is sent to the graveyard"

See, the problem with that is that some of the A2Z monsters (I think Tiger Jet and Head Cannon) aren't Unions, and if you are using them (you might be using Head Cannon), you'd want to keep those non-Unions in the Deck until you've set up the remaining ones so you can Equip them to something to send for their Fusion.

In the ocg the name is True king (or something like that) V.F.D. It is because a phrase in latin, but those are also coincidentally the first letters of Very Fun Dragon

The difference here is that Crystron Halqifibrax is extremely good support for basically every deck that uses Synchro Summoning, especially decks that need to get multiple Tuners out of the deck to make plays.

Good news, Halq got banned recently in TCG

You know, it can apply to many of the older banned cards (Pot Of Greed, Painful Choice etc). Some of those are even more powerful today than they used to be.

Either Grass or Painful Choice will be at top one

@@AxisChurchDevotee Yup, basically the top 10 cards that were broken OP AF but with erratas they became pretty much useless, Makyura was just the most glaring example I could think of (it went from insta-win from 1 Foolish Burial to pretty much unusable).

Yeah and literally only one of those was an issue related directly to Union Carrier. Block Dragon was good and searchable and didn't _need_ UC to make it busted. It deserved a ban all on it's own. The Drytron play is eh and their new XYZ does the job and much more. The only unfair thing that UC enabled is the buster lock which is bad future proofing on Konami's part. Make it only equip to LIGHT Machines and fix 95% of the "problems". All the other stuff you mentioned is either cool but fair interactions or just niche level trash that only works in clickbait-y YGOPro replays lol. Union Carrier was banned to hit Drytron and eventually make people use their new XYZ. Not because someone found a Ojama/Dark World FTK involving thirty cards and no interruptions.
