I wish they did more with the Hyuga Clan. Though I might not like the Byakugan as much as the Sharingan, the Magenkyo Sharingan and the Rinnegan, I still think it's really cool! The only people that we saw that really used it were Neji and Hinata. Also I'm kind of pissed that Neji died.

In other words: The bakugan gud. Sharingan better. Byakugan Eyesight better than rinnnegan and sharingan. Gentle fist gud. Blue shinra tensei . Done.

Kishimoto has so much favoritism in his writing. There are so many modes to the Sharingan, while the Byagugan only has one form. No mangyeku equivalent. As least the Byakugan doesn't make you blind.

Byakugan can also read emotions and minds too, Kaguya could do this. That makes the Byakugan alot stronger than people think.

byakugan is basically like the piccolo of the narutoverse. everyone cares about the sharigan and rinnegan. no love you my main man piccolo or the byakugon

i think byakugan is a visual prowess that isnt explored yet because: 1. the users of the byakugan are almost enslave of taijutsu or close quarter combat. 2. the visual prowess doesnt involve hatred or emotions as a part of strengthening oneself, thus the users of such visual prowess are far likely to get obsessed with power nor has need to explore its abilities. if a certain person does have motives and has thirst of such power, maybe they have to rely either cunning or creative methods to do so. which is more of a hassle but has more potential than the sharingan and the rinnegan. As i said that it may have more potential because (kishimoto) and the visual prowess isnt really fully explored. the rinnegan has hacks ability like reviving the dead, gravititional manipulation and etc. the byakugan has ridiculous fucking eyesight range, vision range and can see through any solid materials. like if you have earth style jutsu a technique that can lift the ground in a form of spike you can basically kill someone in their sleep across the map or across the seven sees. the possibilities are endless here more examples. kirin + byakugan any form of earth style + byakugan Espionage + byakugan water prison + byakagun imagine you just having toothbrush, cleaning your teeth and suddenly your strangled to your death its hacks i think dropping metoers, susano, blaze release and etc. etc is cool but i would prefer the byakugan if god gave me a choice right now yeah byakugan is my go to. but the downside to have such feats require alot of chakra like alot of it. in addition of seeing naked babes. so yeah chose your pokemon

I remember thinking that even after the reveal of the Mangekyo Sharingan, that I would take the Byakugan over anything else. Because it remembered the VISUAL aspect of VISUAL Technuque.

Buyakugan is still my favorite. How wicked would that be to shout it and see everything or even get the veins on your face, it'd scare a lot of people.

I know I’m late But I remember seeing a video about the byakugan where Members were given a seal/curse To were if they die they lose the byakugun so It cannot be transferred but I have a theory that it also nurfed it so that the clan wouldn’t find out about the “next evolutions”of it that like the sharingan required you to kill family. Keeping the clan stronger together rather that having a few strong members and a lot of dead ones

Kaguya's range is so big that she can see around the world twice.

I feel like this is one of the most under development concepts in Naruto. I mean imagine if Neji was able to further develop his skills, and add a change in chakra nature!!!

I wouldn't say Byakugan is underwhelming compared to the standard sharingan. Byakugan has many advantages over a sharingan user. I think the best episode that would've highlighted that is when Zabuza Blinds Kakashi's sharingan by using the Hidden Mist Jutsu. If a Hyuga was there, the mist would have no effect. And really there's no way you can hide or sneak up on a Hyuga

Although underwhelming, the Byakugan is very devastating. Allowing for the user to destroy chakra points at long distances (Air Palm), and repel any ninjutsu based attack (Heavenly Palm Rotation). In theory, multiple air palms should be able destroy a full body Susanoo given that the Susanoo is like ....completely fashioned out of chakra.

well, later in Boruto it is shown that you have to go through intense training to activate the byakugan, but the white eye trait is simply to show that you can activate it. And Himawari apparently is a genius who unlocked it as a kid so Kaguya (God*) knows what kinda abilities she will unlock with training and getting older, maybe there's some kind of special form of byakugan when you mix an uzumaki with a hyuga

I disagree about the Byakugan being underwhelming. It’s an amazing ability it’s just when compared to opaf mangekyou sharingan and rinnegan its not that great but 99.9% of jutsu suck when compared to those broken abilities

They actually need to be un locked, as shown that Naruto's daughter had blue eyes initially, and turned out she unlocked the byakugan later on due upon being triggerd by Boruto breaking her dull.

Not only that but... Byakugan can see rapid movements(Neji vs Kidomaru). Byakugan can see d chakra nature of a person(1st Naruto Shippuden movie) Byakugan can differentiate between diff chakras & transformations (D filler ep after Pein Arc where kakashi met dat Gypsy + War Arc + Ao exposed shisuis dojutsu from danzo etc). Byakugan can assess intricate details n detect blindspots to overcome danger (Team guy vs Kisame + Naruto Team vs Jirobo + War Arc nejis death + Kaguya vs Sasuke)

Is it true that if a Hyuga trains his Byakugan extremely well, he can read a person's mind, block attempts of mind-reading (and possibly the techniques of the Yamanaka Clan), and completely repel the effects of any Genjutsu? Or are those abilities specific to Kaguya's and Hamura's Byakugans?

In the more recent boruto episodes, naruto reveals that the byakugan is only awakened through intense training. I think although everyone in the hyuga clan has the 'white eye' the byakugan is only activated through training which every hyuga clan member probbably goes through before graduating the academy even. Like all cases, there are some exceptions like narutos daughter himmawari (sorry for the wrong spelling) and the genius Neji.

It doesn't matter if the Hyuuga member is strong or not. Hinata was from the main family. Being a member of the main family gives them pure byakugan. I think that's the reason why Toneri aimed for the two princess of the Hyuuga clan. Hinata the princess of byakugan and Hanabi the heiress of the Hyuuga. Remember that Toneri said that Hanabi's eyes are so pure. also I think that Hyuuga cursed seal limits the byakugan. Remember that if a member of the branch family dies. The curse seal will seal their byakugan. It was a Hyuuga tradition to prevent the byakugan from being stolen and probably the reason why the Hyuuga main family always use the branch family to protect them or atleast use them as a sacrifice

this video needs an updated version the byakugan since the video was uploaded has gotten a bit more depth like how hisashi said that not everyone in the clan can awaken it, or how the byakugan is the base for the tenseigan and jougan, or how himawari who’s half hyuga can awaken the byakugan and see color when activates it

The latest episode of boruto(episode 8) has really explained the byakugan and has made the video a bit outdated. Not all the Hyuga clan has the byakugan, not all can awaken it and not all can master it. It also requires intense training to awaken it. Maybe it's just too difficult to master it in respect to the sharingan that's why we think the sharingan is powerful than the byakugan

Hey swagkage, there’s chakra noids on people heads if you attack them so chakra can’t pass threw them, does that mean if those chakra noids gets blocked you’re chakra can’t go to your eyes too; so against someone from the Uchiha clan wouldn’t be able to use their sharingun. I’d like if someone could tell me if this logic makes sense and if it doesn’t pls tell me why.

1. Himawari unlocked her Byakugan by getting upset when her brother broke her stuffed animal, that may be a key. Many Hyuga may naturally unlock it the first time they get upset after being born. Others may take something more traumatic. 2. 10km is approx 6 miles. In Boruto, I believe that Hinata increases her Byakugan range to between 20-40km. That's somewhere between 12 and 24 miles, approximately.

Byaukugan is still superior to sharingan in my opinion, keep in mind sasuke is literally the most powerful sharingan user of all time. Base sharingan is no match for byaukugan, mangekyo is limited by how much you can use it vs the damage it does to ones eye, and eternal mongekyo has only been done by madara and sasuke and there isn't many shinobi in general that are a match for those 2.

Wait wait wait wait I just watched swagekage's genjutsu vid and he said in order to perform genjutsu you have to control the chakra flow in the enemy's body. Then the hyuga clan's gentle fist style is basically controlling the other person's chakra flow through taijutsu. Does that mean you can get the gentle fist outcome through genjutsu.

So does the byakugan have better kinetic prowess the 3 tomoe sharingan? (Not getting into the mangekyo or ems)

I know this is an old video but I created a Hyuga that has the weakest Byakugan to the point the only path of chakra he can see is himself and he can't see 360 degrees or long range. Is that to weak?
