What an amazing day out this was! After spending the night at Lingy Hut Bothy and eating a breakfast fit for champions, I started a walk that was to last the entire day.
My first destination was Skiddaw House, which is the highest and one the most remote youth hostels in England.
After this it was time for the main course- Blencathra. I climbed it from the less technical side, but it was still a good test of fitness carrying all my camping gear to 868 metres.
Finally, I had to navigate in thick fog as I crossed remote moors until I found Bowscale Tarn. What a great place to finish.
