Look Ma, I made an engine bay! That's right, the inner fenders and core support are complete and I can start working on the front of the truck now. Oh, and I installed the windshield and rear glass.

I’ve been really enjoying the channel. I feel that you have been doing an excellent job! I know nothing about body work. I like watching the cutting, fab & weld repairs. I hope you’re still working on this truck because I really want to see if complete, I think the blue and black color scheme looks really nice. Awaiting a new episode !!!

I am still working on it. Shameless plug, but the pics on my Instagram show where I'm currently at. My job has sucked with this pandemic because I've been in the middle of it all. I just cleaned the shop so I get back out there and do more but I've been so tired at the end of the day I haven't wanted to do anything. I appreciate the support, and assuming I survive 🤣 I'll have that dang thing on the road soon(ish).

Nice work I seen this video and previous on these parts. I'm at the same place on my project a 63 C10 pickup. Yes I know probably against everyone's morels lol. I haven't done this type of body work so I'm getting every bit of info and tips available. I do have one question though this Ospho product what is it and what does it do these parts look great after painting.
@RIPbiker13
@RIPbiker13 2 года назад
I have a complete explanation of the Ospho in the cab video where I get it back from sandblasting. Long story short though, it converts the iron oxide into iron phosphate through magic. It's just an acid that strips molecules and stops the oxidation by changing the oxidation into an inert substance. I still recommend cleaning and sealing right after the Ospho though.

With recent events, I have no choice but to get back to working on it, so there will be one coming. I just don't have an exact time frame yet. Long story short, my wife's car was totalled and she's driving the F250 leaving me with only the bike. Hope it doesn't rain lol.

All caught up. That color GORGEOUS love it. Can't wait to see whats next with it. LMC truck has a lot of parts dont know if you heard about them but thought I would throw that out there.
@RIPbiker13
@RIPbiker13 3 года назад
Well dangit, I guess I need to edit and get the next one out there. Yeah, but I avoid them if I can. Most things have been scavenged from other trucks and I bought parts from Dennis Carpenter and NPD. I don't have sponsors so this truck has cost a fortune so far lol.

@@RIPbiker13 I have a 78 F250 Camper Special 2WD. Any recommendations for parts that's not LMC haha?
@RIPbiker13
@RIPbiker13 3 года назад
@@jamiejohnson8114 Start with NPD and then go down the list. I don't advise against LMC for the most part, but avoid their rubber. Freind of mine bought a lot of LMC parts and had trouble with all of it. I bought NPD and DC and it all fit. But nothing is better for fitment than original parts. For the engine, all Summit Racing stuff and CVF Racing pulleys.

I think those inner fender are going to need trimmed to go around the crown vic front crossmember components
@RIPbiker13

Time will tell, but the entire front clip is on and the CV components did not interfere with the inner fenders. They rested right over and around the bolts without manipulating them to do so.

Is your truck an automatic? If not what do you do for the clutch linkage?

The transmission is a C6 automatic. I filled in the clutch hole when I did the floor pans. Normally, there's a hole in the floor that is just covered.
