Glad to see this video. I need to split my JD 420 to check/replace the clutch. It's one of the dual clutch variety and the pto drags when the clutch is pushed all the way in. It wants to grind if the engine is running. Clutch linkage is already adjusted as far as it will go. Anyway, this tractor looks similar to how the 420 is setup. Engine block, center frame, and transmission case. It was interesting to see you put a floor jack underneath the oil pan. I figured the weight of the engine would crush it. Thanks for the videos, I am enjoying them and learning at the same time.
Good day from Ontario. Yrs ago we had Allis B put away in fall, next spring would not turn over. Anyways traded to mechanic for work. Thanks we will hav to watch
Just found your channel. Liked and subscribed. We have several tractors. most are letter series farmalls. We have video on our channel of our SuperA with a 200 engine mowing and videos of a H and a 350 we are working on.
Thank you for making the effort to share this interesting work. Very inspiring and educational as always. I am about to attach a Farmall A engine on to my newly acquired engine stand and am wondering about engine rebuild kit options. Some seem to have flat pistons and some don’t. Any suggestions on where and what to order for 1946 model A? Many thanks - Binni
