Another do it yourself fabrication. The rear window is a good project. Go for it Chad. Jolene is always amazing too with the video.

I liked the opening to the old back window. It matched better with the side windows and with the opening around the glass. Too bad you couldn't get someone to cut you one to fit the opening. Any alternative will be 2nd best.

While I truly enjoy Chad's ability to surmount obstacles and love this project, I think it took a wrong turn on not using the original back glass. Surely it would not have been any more cumulative work to use the entire original window framing even if support had to be added where the lower glass lip was taken out and moved forward along with the top. And the original glass would have kept proportion with all the other glass. And he has the glass already. I see that with what work has already been done it is near impossible to go back and do that, but I have a 59 just like this and after watching this I would definitely go with the original glass instead of fighting to make something else fit that is questionable as to whether it will look as good as the original would have. Repairing the section where the bottom window lip was would have been way less work than the multiple adaptations to make something else work. Love the project anyway..

Hi Chad & Jolene, I already saw the tractor colamity earlier today. It was a good thing that Chad came out of it okay! Nice job of catching it on camera Jolene, and I also watched you unload your Vette again also. It is a beautiful car for a beautuful lady, I am curious if you just fell in love with the Vette or if you have given up on the Bugatti? Chad nice job of building the the window frame and I know you will be at least improving the passenger side corner. If I tried to cut the corners out on the car I would probably cut through the sheet metal by mistake, I also watch you with the zip-cut in such tight places that I am amazed that you do not damage the material that you are cutting next to.Thank you guys for another day of good video and good teaching!

@@jimcollins3411 clearly you and Mr. Rimmington have an extremely low opinion of Jolene. Why is that? Or do you have a low opinion of all women? Admittedly I don't know her, except through the TV show and these videos. And given that I am more than old enough to be her dad, I certainly don't have any interest in fawning over her, as it seems some commenters do. However, I have seen no evidence that she is a gold-digger. Nor have I seen any evidence that she is with Chad for any reason other than love. But maybe you guys know something about her, or their relationship that many of the rest of us do not know, hmm?

I like the rear window but I think it would look better if you had made the frame bigger with less real-estate between the frame of the window and the roof. Nice idea. But I think you've made the screen area a bit small. I think it'd be better if you re- did it, making the sheet metal portion say, max,, 1" or 1 1/2" wide. But really, I think it would look better if you made the new screen as close as you can, to the size of the old one, so at first glance, it would look 'stock'
